Want to start MESSAGE 23 failure - d010ea

Greetings,

I'm trying to untangle a machine for a friend.

It's a pc touchscreen feel like 23-d010ea.

The initial symptoms were - made power cord in and immediately the main fan has started running, this continued until the power cable has been removed.

So, I removed the RAM, hard disk and DVD, powered up and down and reconnected everything - no difference.

Then I removed and reinstall the CMOS battery - this changed the symptoms to the machine sat quietly, as would be expected, when the power cord is connected. The white light by the power connector is on. By pressing the power button on the top of the machine starts the fan, which breeds. It continues for a few seconds, then the powers of the machine down.

The two white LED side (HD?) don't light up at all. One of them blinks briefly just before the machine goes off as the main HD is accessible (or told to close maybe, not sure).

All the tests of disconnection and reconnection repeat after behaviour change - no difference.

Is it a motherboard failure?

There is no activity of the screen - it remains off all the time. There is no beeps to be heard (I?) assumed that the machine uses the speakers under the screen - I haven't seen or had to attempt a repair on a such system before. I'm used to the areas and the separate screens (though I have some experience with the maintenance of the laptop and component swaps).

Linux user since 2002

Try to recover the BIOS as described in troubleshooting procedures. There are two methods.  As I said... It may be too late.

"but the machine seems not record not not keyboard strokes. It is indicative of a problem of failure or BIOS corruption.
