Function 'Again cut layer' to the pixel selection.

Hey guys. This is a fairly minor feature, but it might be useful.

The device would be a single comand that could remove the pixels of a layer and paste it into a new layer.

CTL - X does technically, but since CTL - X clears the selection, the dough doesn't have a guide in the order paste the pixels in the same location.

CTRL-C, DEL, CTRL-V, has the effect of pixels in the cup of a layer into a new layer while preserving the selection, but it would be nice to have as a single command.

The obvious shoice would be CTRL-SHIFT-X, but it's the fluidity, and I love it.

So, I suggest ALT-SHIFT-X. I know that the combination of alt - shift keys ever used, but honestly, this isn't a feature really is seedbed

Thanks for reading.

Already control-J (new layer by copying) and control Maj J (new layer by cutting) - which is exactly what you asked for. Redload the selection you can simply click on the new layer - for the most part, you wouldn't do that, because it is just in the way. You could if you wanted to.

Do you seriously think that photoshop version 11- wouldn't this shortcut now? They came back 4 or 5 at least

  • How to clear sticky-selection layer with the tool around in Photoshop CC?

    In Photoshop CC, you can click and drag the tool move to select more than one layer. But sticky selection seems to be a novelty.

    In the attached screenshot, you can see that I have selected several layers of a graphic illustration. Marquee of the move (not to be confused with the pixel-selection) tool is liked to touch these layers, but they remain selected. Suppose that I have selected some of these layers accidentally: when I move the marquee away unwanted layers, I want than Photoshop to deselect them. I don't want to restart a selection each time that my wrist shaking during the selection process.

    I realize that there are several ways to select layers. I'm not looking for alternative solutions. No sticky home or go.

  • Copy path of a shape layer to the layer path again

    I use connect traces on a shape layer to animate the "drawing" of the form. Then I have a still image (my hand) that I want to follow the application of the shape layer.

    In AE, I this today by defining the paths of the toppings, then copy the path of the shape layer. I go to the layer again, select the position attribute and paste. This deal is still keyframes layer which coincide with the shape animation.

    I thought I could go something on the shape layer and then create keyframes on the layer again. However, I am not sure this makes sense? Use valueAtTime() on the way to the shape layer?

    Any ideas how I can replicate this workflow to ExtendScript?

    Try this - it might get you up to get the path of the layer shape copied in the position property of the layer of the hand:

    function deselectAll (theComp) {}

    for (var i = 1; i)<= thecomp.numlayers;="">

    theComp.layer (i) .selected = false;

    }

    var theProps = theComp.selectedProperties;

    for (var i = 0; i)< theprops.length;="">

    theProps [i] .selected = false;

    }

    }

    var app.project.activeItem = myComp;

    deselectAll (myComp);

    var myPath = myComp.layer ("Shape Layer 1") .property ("ADBE vectors root Group").property("ADBE_Vector_Group").property ("ADBE vector Group").property("ADBE_Vector_Shape-Group").property ("ADBE vector form");

    myPath.selected = true;

    app.executeCommand (app.findMenuCommandId ("Copy"));

    deselectAll (myComp);

    myProp = myComp.layer("Hand").property ('Position');

    myProp.selected = true;

    app.executeCommand (app.findMenuCommandId ("Paste"));

  • Can I cut around a path on a layer of the imported bitmap image?

    Hi all

    I work in Illustrator 9 on Windows 7.

    Can I cut around a path on a layer of the imported bitmap image?

    I have imported a Photoshop layer and I have a way of triangle on an Undercoat of the imported bitmap layer I want to select around outside of and then cut around the trail on the imported bitmap layer to make this bitmap layer the shape of my path of triangle.

    But when I select "Reverse" he tries to select other paths out of my way to triangle, it selects only the layer of the bitmap and leaves me to delete only this layer of the entire bitmap.

    I want to choose my path, then do it slightly cut the edge of the track on my imported bitmap layer.

    Thank you for any input,

    Digi

    You can use paths in an artistic form, no pixels, no clipping mask.

    If you need to recreate this in Illustrator. Should be simple enough to create these wavy lines. Their color, the pathfinder to create the triangle. You can then create the art brush.

    This here shows a slightly more complex procedure, because there is a gradient in there: http://www.vektorgarten.de/illustrator-flattening-transparency.html

    For wavy lines, you can use the effect zig - zag (or filter)

  • What is the best way to edit the pixels of the layer without applying the image?

    Help, please!?

    What is the best way to change the pixels on a new layer (clone, healing, patch or selection) without applying the image? When I do that, I can't change the under layer if I make a mistake.

    Does this make any sense!

    You want to use the patch tool to put the fix on its own layer? Use sample all layers in the Options bar.

  • I have a photo n & b and I want to select/display just the pixels to their real shadow and shade. How can I do this?

    Basically, if I have a photo of n & b and all the pixels fall into darkness of 100% (black) and the darkness of 0% (white), I want to select/display just the pixels that are between 40% darkness and darkness of 50% or 70% darkness and obscurity 80%. Is there a simple way to do this?

    1. create a level of gray as in the example above.

    2 place it on a layer above the image as shown, then merge down to create a single layer

    3. place a layer of white below

    4. return to the upper layer and double-click it to open the layer Style

    5 move the top right slider to the left to remove the values 0 to 35

    6 move the cursor on the top left to the right in order to eliminate the values 100 to 65

    Other values in grayscale and photo are between 40 and 60%

    Set the other parameters and apply the same technique.

    (To save you time, I can send you the scale.)

    Select the banana. Right click > copy layer. Move tool. Click and drag to the other file. Place on the image.

    GOLD: load history and banana in a stack (file > Scripts > load file in the stack). Select banana and layer for copy or create the layer mask.

  • How to select a range of colors as in Photoshop or copy/move a layer in the mask of another layer?

    Hello

    I'm experimenting Photoshop Elements and wanting to use a layer of black and white (gray scale) I did as a mask of a another layer and do not know how to do in elements. In Photoshop, I could do it (there may be a better way to do it in PS, but I've not yet discovered)...

    Click on the layer, I created that I intend to use as a mask

    Select all

    Copy

    Select the layer that I want the mask to be applied to the

    Click on the button Add a mask layer (bottom layer)

    Click on the mask icon so it is highlighted (and is not the image)

    switch to the channel display

    highlith the layer mask in the R, G, B of the layers and make it visible

    Dough

    invisible again

    Switch to layers.

    This works and retains the full range of transparency for the semi transparent and soft contours of mask etc.

    Otherwise, I can choose a range of colors, but this doesn't seem to be available in PS Elements.

    So, how do I get the same result in PS Elements?

    Thanks for your help

    Jonno

    After you have added your layer mask, Alt (Option) click on the thumbnail of the mask layer in the layers panel, and then edit > paste.

  • Select the Pixels of a shape. It allows to be now is not easy!

    Hey guys,.

    I use CS3 on a PC. Now I use CS5 on Mac OSX 10.6.3

    I think that the shortcut for select the pixels of a shape is CTRL-R. I tried different ways a Mac can do as command + R and Option R etc and nothing works. All I want to do is select the pixels of a form, and it does not work. The magic wand tool selects not forms, I get an error 'cannot select because the area is a target layer filled. " He never use to be like this.

    Then someone know how to select the pixels of a form? What is the shortcut?

    Thank you very much!

    Unless you have changed your shortcuts, ctrl/command + r will show/hide the leaders.

    I think what is happening is changed Photoshop where you must click to select pixels on a layer of fill in CS5. Before that you can click on the layer icon or on the mask icon. Now you must click on the mask icon.

    Another way (not as convenient, but you can try as test) to select the pixels to make the active fill layer. Then go in the paths Panel. Click on the mask path, if it is not already active. Then, make a selection from the path by using either the icon at the bottom of the Panel or the control panel menu. If that does not load the mask as a selection then there is something strange with you the document or your system.

  • "WARNING: no pixel selected" with the magic wand

    Details:

    Product: Adobe Photoshop CS5 64-bit

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

    I'm working on the application of a coating that is textured to a field of hexagons, but not for their "Grout", i.e. the border thickness between each hexagonal "mosaic". I made a selection of the "Grout" and then reversed so that now my hexes were selected, make a new layer filled with black, and then using the magic wand tool, I deselected about 2/3 of the selections in Allen. Apply noise, motion blur, makes a fine metal grain. Invert the selection, remove the excess black, then reverse and save the selection. Define as overlay, super good. Then layer, load my selection of the Hexagon, 1/3 of the responsible for the selection of France that I've done before (so I do not apply two textures on any of a hexagon) and I get about 2/3 of the hexagons selected. New layer, fill it with black, just like the last time. Except that... when I use my magic wand to deselect, I get ' WARNING: No. Pixels were selected "and I lose the entire selection. Can I deselect using square or the quick selector, but not the magic wand. Now I well recorded and could recreate so no real work is lost, but it is easier deselect each Hexagon bit (there a LOT of them) with the magic wand of monstroustly. Why this suddenly is upward?

    Thank you for your time,

    Charles DiGiovanna

    How is the box to sample all layers [] at the top of the main window of Photoshop?

    If it is not checked, the wand will only use the data on the layer that is currently selected.

  • BUG: Selection of the marquee selection tool displays 1 pixel off

    This bug is really irritating because it makes the precision of rectangular selection and harvesting difficult. Please correct in CS4, CS5 not! I paid a lot of money for the Studio! CS4 has been for a long time now, and there has not been a lot of updates!
