Warning of Online Armor

I use Windows 7 and my Online Armor warns me on the

c:\windows\system32\wbem\WMIADAP.exe

who tries to create an executable file. There is no correlation between prices online or off line-it pops up constantly. I was not able to connect with updates either.

The location is c:\windows\system32\wbem\Performance

I was wondering if it was familiar to everyone, and whether or not he should be blocked.

It's probably a false positive of your armor , trying to get the last definitions of software and also run that a scan from another provider to double check all is clean.

  • Printer does not install

    Hello people,

I have a printer HP Deskjet 3050 a J611 (very basic, but it will print). I am re - install Win 7 x 64 SP1 to a specific format because of system files corrupted who could not fix the System File Checker. No idea when and how they became corrupt but each re-boot required 1 BSoD before Windows will start successfully. Literally. I have AVG Internet Security installed 2014 and showing everything is clean; Also clean the State of health of SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes'. Also have Online Armor for my firewall and as my AntiLogger Zemana.

After you have finished reinstall the base OS, I have installed the latest video driver for my card Radeon HD5570, installed all the drivers for the MB chipset and installation of various startup programs keep processor, of various photographic software for partitioning and other utilities system disk in drive. Everything installed without any problem, that it is downloaded or run from the hard drive.

Now I'm going to re - install my faithful old printer and nothing will. Be it from the hard drive or the CD, more comprehensive-based driver downloaded from HP. Nothing happens when I double-click the icon or file. The hourglass appears briefly, and then the mouse pointer is displayed again; the activity ends. So far, I looked into (no printer) Device Manager, devices and printers that has an unknown device that looks like a laser printer (mine is an inkjet), and no matter what I do, I cannot get rid of it (uninstall, it hibernates, there is simply no option given). And there is no yellow triangles anywhere is.

If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate help.

PostScript: I posted the message on the Microsoft Forum, but so far there has not been the answers.

It is not an attitude, its who I am.

I found the answer. I started to have issues that I tried to install other software that I had already used without problem. The major change - a new firewall (Online Armor) program was to blame. He began to block everything.

So I went back to my old Firewall (I was wrong, blamed for some of the BSoD), and installed everything with aplumb. I thank those who have read the posting.

  • Problems with Windows Update after uninstalling SP2 (Vista Home Premium)

    Hello, everyone!

Two days ago, I tried to install SP2 through my Windows Update. During the installation and then restart, it stopped on step 3 (0%), ignored and open Windows normally. But, I realized that I had totally lost Aero (I didn't even have the option in the window color and appearance), and also Windows Update constantly gave me the message that I always important updates - SP2 has not installed correctly (I rebooted the computer several times to try to resolve this problem, but everything remained the same: stop on step 3) ", running Windows, and once again the message that I've updated important). I searched in various forums, but could not solve the problem, so I decided to uninstall SP2 via Control Panel. But it doesn't let me do that - whenever I clicked on the button uninstall, it says that the installation is not finished yet. So, I tried the system restore, but whenever I clicked it, an error message (that I didn't understand at all) appeared. So, I went into safe mode and tried the system restore and it worked (Control Panel uninstall option does not in Mode safe either), and everything is back to SP1. But now I have problems with Windows Update - I get the error message 0 x 8007002 (and even 0 x 8007005 several times). I tried everything I could find in the forums (the thing with automated updates service does not because I don't have this option in Services), but nothing works. If anyone has any advice whatsoever, I would be really grateful for that, because I don't know what to do.

For safety, I use NOD32 anti virus, Tall Emu Online Armor and ThreatFire.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi EvanaZgb,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers forum.

I would say to first disable the anti virus and other security software. Then proceed as follows:

    STEP 1
    ------------
Download and install the latest version of Windows Installer
To install the latest Windows Installer, visit the Microsoft Web site at the following address:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en

Step 2 now try to update again and post back with the results
    ------------
Cleanup, utility to download and install the Microsoft Windows CleanUp utility. To do this, see the Microsoft Web site: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

Now try to update again and post back with results

    Avast antivirus

    Hi bobr_589,

A standard procedure for the administration of the system is to reduce the amount of storage space used (typically a hard disk) by deleting temporary files.

That the file is in temp you can remove it because it is not a update file.

In addition to this review, if Windows update is working or not.

A Microsoft security in safe mode with networking scanner to make sure that the computer is completely virus-free
    Step 1:
To start the computer in safe mode

    Step 2:

The Microsoft Safety Scanner free is a downloadable security tool that allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malicious software. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

See the following steps to delete the content in the Temp folder.
    1. click on Start. Click run. In the dialog box that appears, type temp , and then click OK.
    2. open the Temp folder. You can delete everything in the Temp folder, including subfolders. Click Edit | Select all, and then press DELETE on your keyboard.
    3. you can also try to delete other user accounts Temp files by performing the next step.
    i. click Start. Click run. In the dialog box that appears, type %temp%, and then click OK.

  • The very problematic recent virus - qtfcyyp.exe - why he does not know?

    Hello

System of my friend (P4, 1GD - ram, XP + sp3 with a net conn Bsnl in Bangalore, India) was struck by the Trojan qtfcyyp.exe slows down his system. I used computers for a very long time and considered as somewhat advanced as he called me.

I have never been troubled by viruses in the last 10 + years - so people take care.

If you disable the sound start, he comes back on reboot. If you remove it, it is up to the time wherever the net conn is upward.

Despite the removal of the operating system and re - install, she came back. Despite formatiing, she came back.

The longer it took back was after about 2 or 3 weeks after you delete all data on the drive, making a fdisk and changing file system to the old Fat32 and updated with an another internet service provider where the popular Bsnl has been targeted. She came back at the time wherever the free Avast anti-virus has been removed in order to install AVG as my friend does not want to buy it because he feels that slow down of its system.

As above, the file has been blaocked by Online Armor firewall this time, soon, he had another 'wuaucldt.exe' this time in Windows folders, drivers and System 32 and managed currently to damage the XP again and I understand that the computer has stopped these last days.

Last week I was not able to get even in Safe Mode to remove the files and do a restore.

Let's see what I can do this week, no doubt.

If I understand the research that the virus "qtfcyyp" is new since the 06March, 2011, but yet little known info. Why is that its causing havoc?

    Hi jamesdsouza,

    ·         The computer now starts on the desktop?

Method 1: If this is the case, then you can check if the Microsoft Safety Scanner can help analyze the system. Check out the following link to do the same thing.

Microsoft Safety Scanner - free online tool for PC health and safety

You can also download and install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Method 2: Try to start in safe mode with networking , if you are unable to start up normally.

  • Please, help me to install the a security update for Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 Service Pack 2 (KB954459)

I am running Windows XP Professional SP2 (32 bit).  My Windows Update is configured to inform me of updates that are available and to wonder what to do each time.

For the last two months I have problems with these two updates:

    1. Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 Service Pack 2 (KB973686)
    2. a security update for Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 Service Pack 2 (KB954459)

Two of them are available for me to download and install every time I connect to the Internet. I always choose download and then install. The first update is always installed successfully, but continues to offered to me AGAIN and AGAIN. I have reviewed my story to update on the Microsoft Update site, where I can see that this update has been installed successfully for more than 10 times. But the continuous automatic updates offering him.

Problem with the second update (a security update for Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 Service Pack 2 (KB954459)) is worse still - IT STILL FAILS.  During the installation process, I get no error message, but in the end, I always get:
«Updates could not be installed...» The following updates were not installed:
A security update for Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 Service Pack 2 (KB954459)
    ".»
Of course, in my history of editing, he still has the red icon, and the error Code is 0 x 643.

I tried to install it manually, so I downloaded the Service Pack msxml6-KB954459-enu - x 86 .exe (981 KB) from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=59914795-60c7-4ebe-828d-f28cb457e6e3&displaylang=en
But when I ran it, I got this message:
"Installation of MSXML 6 Service Pack 2 (KB954459) failed because a newer version already exists on the machine. "To continue, uninstall the higher version and re-run the installation of MSXML 6 Service Pack 2 (KB954459) program."

I don't understand.  I thought this msxml6-KB954459-enu - x 86 .exe installation file for the update of safety only, but it has proved to be the Setup for the entire application.  And that means this "version more?  How did get on my computer?  And what do I need to uninstall?  In my Add/Remove Programs list that I don't have that:
    -MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB954430)
    -MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB973688)
    -MSXML 6 Service Pack 2 (KB973686)

In my System32 folder, I have a file called msxml6.dll (created: 19 08.2009).  On the Properties dialog Version tab, I see that its version is 6.20.1076.0;  If that matters.

    My security programs are:
    -BitDefender Total Security 2010
    -Malwarebytes AntiMalware
    -Online Armor ++ Firewall
(They are all up to date and none of them has ever interfered with the installation of any update of Windows or Microsoft).

    Can someone tell me please:
    1. What can I do to make the installation of this update for Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 Service Pack 2 security
    (KB954459) succeed?
    2. what to do with an another update (update for Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 Service Pack 2 (KB973686)) which
constantly is available once again, although my editing history shows that it is installed successfully?

    And another question:

These two updates prevent the automatic updates to offer upgrade to SP3 of XP?  I am currently on SP2, but I really need to upgrade to SP3; not only because support for SP2 has stopped, but more because there are more programs that require SP3 must be installed.  A month ago, automatic updates offered the update to SP3, but the installation failed for an unknown reason ("... the system could not find the specified file.").  I'm wrong if I think it will be offered me again only after I install these two updates correctly?

First of all, you have 2 firewalls; ® Of BitDefender Total Security 2011 (block intruder (implement a two-way firewall)) and Online Armor

"Do not use more of a firewall, 2 or more is a way sure to hit trouble, as with AV"

Download & save the installer for WinXP SP3 on your desktop:

  • Problem of sharing a printer on a network XP

    Hi all
I have a wireless network using two computers that are running Windows XP Pro
and Windows XP home. There is no problem getting the client machine,
one running Home Edition to have an Internet connection. I'd do it
you would like to be able to send documents to the printer on host machines. Here
    the problem is:

When I run the installation wizard network on the XP Pro machine
invariably, wants to use the 1394 connection to be one that is
shared. The other two options are the Marvell ethernet controllers
only one that is in use. When I'm asked to do a network drive
I have only five options to store the data created by the wizard. The
first of all is the floppy drive, and four are slots for memory cards on
a card reader. The program does not show me one of my two
optical drives, so I can't make a CD. The problem is the client machine
has this no card reader or floppy drive!

When I run the network installation on home computer Wizard and try to
save network settings, it tells me that there is no optical drive
installed when in fact it doesn't have a CD burner!

At one point, I was able to share the printer, but unfortunately I did
the error to remove the printer from the client machine, which, in
Turn it removed from the host machine. Now no matter what I do I can't
Download this sharing to make it work again.

I also tried to disable the firewall 'online armor' on both
machines without result. At some point look under the firewall
configurations, I have seen the host machine, appear on the
client and vice versa. Now I can't do anything, I don't even know
If I was able to do a network disk that it would solve the
    problem.

I am at a loss to know what to do next if anyone has any ideas I'd be
be more complimentary. Please try and keep your directions relatively
simple as it is obvious, I'll have a chance to do what I do.

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Tinsby

If you do the same thing but replace the IP address for the computer name?  i.e.\\192.168.x.x\printername (whatever the address IP is for the host machine)

The only problem I see is AVG.

AVG is that a virus scanner which often gives trouble.

Why? It is not the best antivirus and gives wrong with HijackThis.

HijackThis is a tool of advanced securety used by malware specialists. And AVG is not the complete package.

Yust a assume that you use the Windows Firewall? If Yes this isn't good eunogh for threats.

    Another assumption:

You do not run on Java 8.

Please uninstall all versions of java and download this new version.

    http://jdk8.Java.NET/Download.html

I recommend Avast 7 free + free Online Armor + Secunia PSI 3.0 and Java 8

If you plan to install Avast it please let me know. You will need to disable something in Avast, otherwise there will be trouble with Online armor free.

    Original title: Winrscmde stop working

    Hello

I get this error message and its major slag causing in my cpu.  I've read all the threads and I don't see a direct determination to this problem, one had this and were u able to clear it up?

    Hello

    1. when exactly you receive the error message?

2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?

Method 1: Ffollow these steps and check if the problem persists.

Step 1: Try to boot in safe mode and check if the problem persists. Check out the following link to start the computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: If the issue is not still in safe mode, and then start the clean boot computer to determine if a third-party program is causing the problem. To configure your computer to clean boot see the following link.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 article to start on normal startup.

Method 2: I suggest that you can exercise SFC scan and check if that helps. To do this, please see the following article. The SFC/SCANNOW command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

For more information how to make SFC / scan, please follow this link:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 3: I also suggest you to run a full scan of the system on the computer by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if the computer is infected with the virus. You can download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner from the following link.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Warning: The online scanner will expire after 10 days. The Microsoft scanner running will also run check disk on the computer. This task might cause loss of data on your computer. It is recommended that you back up all data and files before performing this.

  • Why does become worse every version of Windows?

I am amazed how Microsoft continues to free bloated programs full of bugs, and we continue to buy! Having satisfied Apple with iTunes (FREE program) an iPhone and the iPad, I will buy Apple computers in the future. Why? Well, first of all... they WORK! Second... you call Apple and you talk to a person. Have you ever tried to find someone at Microsoft? Press 1 for... Well, press the 2 well dethrone... Press 3... Never mind!

I really thought that Win 7 64 would be a big BONE... EVERY DAY, he feels the need of something else in a new and exciting of crash!

I know I'm just evacuation here... I have, but good, to do something while the other computer restarts!

Thanks for your reply. The problem is not with a specific computer. I have three HP machines and they all show similar problems. Yes, I know, I'm the common element but they all worked without problem with Windows XP. These questions come up with Windows 7... and it gets worse whenever a Windows 'Fix' fixes it!

What I would like is to actually TALK to someone at Microsoft who could seize a problem... but it won't happen. I'll be a gift of these machines to the Salvation Army and buy Apple computers. I know I'm about the evacuation, but I just finished with Microsoft.

  • Questions about privacy and security when you use Safari for Windows

I have Itunes + Quick Time Player installed to download music and some time ago I had the opportunity to download Safari for Windows.  I used it a few times, just out of curiosity, and I noticed that it is much faster than IE7, so I plan to use it regularly, but before that, I have a few questions:

-someone at - it tested (or uses) Safari for Windows, and what are your results?

-What is save to use as Firefox or Opera, both recommended as alternative by our experts at the HijackThis forum?

-the programs that I installed (Online Armor firewall, AVG 8.0 suite, MBAM with protection in real time enabled RogueRemover Pro with immune protection enabled, WinPatrol, SpywareBlaster) offer the same protection when you use Safari for browsing?

Thanks a lot already for your answers, Advisor or thoughts on this issue.

I thought: free online armor firewall

    AVG free antivirus (real-time scanning)?

    MBAM (on request) free

    SASpyware (on request) free

The only technical info that I know so far is that they are running XP sp2

The beginner of choice above are friendly, and no one knows of any possibility of conflict or even better suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.
