Warranty does cover backlight bleeding on Satellite A300-1JH

Hello.

I would like to know if backlight bleeding to a laptop (it of bad enough, nearly half of the screen is gray instead of black) can be solved with warranty. They change the display or give me a new model? Or are they taking action at all?

I can always return the laptop that 10 days have not passed since I bought it, but I want to keep it if they can change the display. In it's current condition, it is unusable on a long term.

    Vista need to AHCI mode and there is nothing you can do about it. In addition, you cannot change.

    If the mouse has own adapter BT then, this issue has nothing to do with laptop manufacturers and you should contact the manufacturer of the mouse and ask for help.
    Installation and configuration for this mouse is generally calm.

    I bought my computer laptop old month and today, my girlfriend dropped acetone on it. Fortunately, still works but the coverage and some keys are damaged and so new it is painful to see it this way.

    I own the specifications described. I install it on Windows 7 64-bit version.
    I have install driver Toshiba Value Package added. The buttons touch media worked awhile. I have setup my media player application too.

    Now all of a sudden the mute and media player application launch touch button does nothing.
    I try to reinstall the drivers and still the same problem. For a while, everything was functional and all of a sudden just 2 buttons do not work.
    The rest of the buttons are ok.

    To my knowledge, there is a more recent version of VAP for Win 7 64 bit

    I recommend the VAP in the driver download section released for other series laptops more recent.
    Before installing the new version, please remove the old version, clean the registry (CCleaner is a good tool) and after rebooting again, install the VAP.

    I did not the above, because the company, which me Tooshiba Satellite A300-23F sold does not have the right number of the invoice. After that I have recived the contract number and I wanted to register again, but the page that appears have this window to put the number.
    So I registered with tought this is already a long recording. But nothing more confused.
    It was the standard recording.

    What should I do to get this free registration right now?

    I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite A300... everything worked well, but there is a day, when I used the laptop it started working and it blocked a few seconds... I tried to turn it on again several times, but it always of the blocks...
    I gave the phone to a technician and he told me that, probably, the motherboard is broken and I have to send my computer in the center of Toshiba to fix...
    Now the problem is... the warranty period, you are finished... and they told me I have to pay for plu 60/hour, so I have to pay for the new motherboard... I worry I have to pay too much to repair the laptop and I don't know if it is better to repair or buy a new...

    What do you think guys? Does anyone know how much may the reparetion cost?
    I really like this computer, that's why I didn't buy a new still...

    I think that it s speaker malfunction, I doubt that it s a loose connection or something like that and I would not recommend trying to fix this problem yourself.
    First of all, know all you n t that's exactly wrong, and second, you will lose your warranty and could damage other parts if you would disassemble the laptop.

    In this case, the ASP in one and only one good way to solve this problem.
    Contact the guy and ask him for the handling of the Fryer!

    I did a new install of Win 7 pro 64-bit, and after it does not my fan, not at the start or in Windows. To check if it the fan itself was broken I re-installed Vista instead and the fan worked again!
    Installed new Win 7 but now it's silent :( I checked in the BIOS (latest version 1.80) but I couldn't find any option here. Am I missing a driver or something?

    My Satellite canned extinguishing because of this, so I would really appreciate help :)

    Hmmmm... really strange. I use Win7 32 bit on my Satellite A300-1LI and it works perfectly.
    Maybe a stupid question now, but have you tried to use the 32 bit version?

    You have also installed all the Toshiba drivers Toshiba value added package (includes the Toshiba power saver tool)?

    Have a laptop Satellite A300, running vista.

    Until a few weeks ago everything good, then noticed the cd did you not recognized and disk in it. The card reader can't find anything on the card (and Yes, the card was full.)

    The usb scanner is recognized as an external memory card and the other usb port does not fuction.

    I have not installed or don't remember changing of settings or do whatever it is the habit.

    Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

    8MB - 2 GB SD card
    SDHC - 4 GB card

    MultiMediaCard - 8 MB - 1 GB
    miniSD (with SD adapter) - 32 MB - 2 GB

    I recommend also to format the card and to copy files from computer, and then test this.
    You can also reinstall and update the driver for the card reader controller...
