  Hello

  I guess this is the right forum to post messages on a thinkpad T510. I need a help. I tried to install Windows 2008 R2. It installed successfully. However I have noticed, that the operating system did not recognize everything in my laptop. Default VGA driver has been defined, network driver has not been installed and therefore ethernet has been disabled.

  Can someone ' a please guide me on how to obtain the latest drivers for T510 specially targettting Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server platforms.

  Yes No. You can use Windows 7 drivers on 2008R2. Some drivers won't like being installed on a server operating system, so you'll need to dirty their hands with Orca or other utilities to force it to install.

  Bluetooth is also for the most part non-functional under 2008R2, unless you pay for a license of BlueSoleil stack or try one of the attempts of the battery BT MS of Windows 7 ports.

• WRT610N not showing BLUE for Gigabit connection?

  I was on the phone with Linksys TS tonight (and hung up) and also the Live Chat and not getting anywhere.

  I have a nine WRT610N router. Everything works fine when connected by cable CAT6 between my PC and the WRT610N. Firmware has been upgraded to the last descendant of site Web after installation. The only problem I see so far is the following:

  Gigabit Intel Pro1000/GT card, cable CAT6 from PC to the router. EasyLink Advisor shows 953Mbps, the LED shows GREEN (10/100) router is not BLUE (GB). I tried 2 ports on the router and 2 separate new cables CAT6. Is there a problem with the firmware of the router the WRT610N, or display BLUE for a gigabit connection?

  It is a known problem with the WRT610N.  Depending on how you look at it, the manual is incorrect, or the firmware is incorrect.

  For the moment, the following applies to the WRT610N:

  Green is 1000 Mbps, Blue 10 / 100 Mbps.

  I want to upgrade fomr 4 GB to 8 GB and find that PC3L is less expensive than the PC3 slightsly.

  Most of the PC3L (1.35v) modules will support PC3 (1.5V) operation. I do not know of modules that don't work not to 1, 5V, but specifications for modules that you consider should tell you what you need to know.

  I spent almost that night find graphic driver Intel HD for my (Intel core i5-560 2.66 Ghz) T510 with windows 8.1 64-bit installed. After the search, download and installation, no driver works as it does not meet the minimum requirements. The graphics used in this T510 HD are old enough (HD graphics card only, no series 3000 or 4000 or something).

  I found one in the microsoft Web site that declares that she will support the Intel HD Graphics. However, I can not install it on my computer

• 90W AC adapter for T510

  I got my daughter a Thinkpad T510 for College and also bought the duplicator 3 so she can use it as a cradle to College. I bought separately (p/n 42T 4425) 90W Adapter for use with its port replicator. During the fall semester, she told me that the 90W Adapter stopped working, so I called service and they sent a replacement. However, they sent only the adapter, not the three-phase power cable.

  The replacement adapter does not work, but I wonder now if the problem is the power supply cord. I have a multimeter, but I don't know how to check the power supply cord. Any suggestions?

  Disconnect the power cord of the adpter & wall take the pos counter. & neg. each end of the rope on all (1 at a time) 3-pin to see if it can read from one end to the other if you have another cord are trying with the adpter & WELCOME to the forum

• BBM HELP! BBM STUCK ON SETTING UP SCREEN BLUE FOR DAYS!

  My bbm display picture did not change for a few days that neither were some of the messages delivered, so I deleted and reinstalled. Since then, all I could do was agree to the terms and conditions and then a blue screen comes up with either "bbm implementation", "Error connecting to the server", or "bbm initialization." It was so frustrating for me because it persisted for three days. I deleted and reinstalled bbm severally, out my battery many times and connected to Wifi in addition to my subscription blackberry.

  Please advise what can I do else.

• Photoshop CS4: Images of the workspace are dyed blue for unknown reason

  The question in that I'm running does not appear very often so I thought I would go and ask away. I use Photoshop CS4 (64 bit) and when I open an image in Camera Raw, I see perfect photos as they are. By bringing the file in the workspace, however, they are immediately covered in a blue tint which makes editing VERY boring photos. I used Photoshop on this laptop for a few years and never encountered a problem like this. My screen has been calibrated using the calibration tests integrated into Windows 7. Recently, I had to reinstall my programs Adobe After buying a new internal hard drive. This means that I had a clean slate before installing Photoshop. I had to reinstall Windows itself and when buying, my laptop came with some pre-installed Dell software.

  Yes, it's a question of color management. Most likely your pre-installed software used a setting or a specific color profile. Check your evidence and your system color management settings.

  So I have a thinkpad t510 laptop, with a fairly low i5 520 m. I was wondering if I would be able to upgrade my current CPU with a more powerful i7 (quad core) 2760qm because the they share the same socket pga988/G1.

  N ° the 2nd generation of CPU will not work on a 1st gen (T510) motherboard.

  Obviously, you can't do anything else as to reinstall the new OS.
  Maybe HARD drive recovery would still be available on the HARD disk. So try this HARD drive recovery.

  If the recovery of HARD drive is not available, then you could try to reinstall Win XP using a disk from Microsoft as part of the USB key.

• IdeaPad U430p - screen turned blue and only shows cursor

  I just bought my laptop today, there an i7-4500 processor with windows 8.1

  While I was installing norton the screen turned blue, but it was ok after a few minutes. But the screen turned blue even once, and my tasks stopped responsing Manager. She returned to normal after that I have signed in. Now it just turns blue for a few seconds from time to time and goes back to my desktop screen with all my shortcuts to the Center and my deleted background.

  I don't know if this is normal, hadvent used windows 8 before. Is could someone please tell me if I can do anything to fix it? Thank you >

  Please try to uninstall Norton to see if you still get the blue screen. You can try using Norton Removal Tool: http://www.norton.com/nrt

  If you get a blue screen after the removal of Norton, try update video drivers and see if that solves the problem. You can try to reinstall Norton after that.

  Question:

  Now I get a black screen permanently.  When it is connected to wall battery indicator is blue, I press the power button, light to power lights up blue for 7 seconds then turns off.  Nothing happens.  Screen not being able to, can not hear fans, etc. Same question not connected to the wall.

  There was a version of the 2.04 BIOS update that fixed a problem '2.Revise system cannot start when "Exit Discard Changes" has been selected in the BIOS menu."  I think this is my problem.

  Is there any recovery method that can be done at home to get out of this State?

  Just updated my own post-

  Something on the motherboard is indeed stuck in a permanent off-State.  There is no solution in addition to the replacement of the motherboard together. They are more expensive because integrated cpu.

  My laptop is out of warranty for a reason any since I bought it via Acer Outlet on Amazon, even though the laptop itself had been built less than a year ago.

  Chat online support for problems would not help at all.  They are a 3rd third party vendor and do not do this things.

  Sent a request for repair of Acer. They want $399 for repair.

  It took a repairman (people super nice btw, way more useful than acer supports... I would suggest strongly local mom & pop stores if you can), they want $360.

  Don't know what I'll do yet. I think it's ridiculous to pay for a bug of software known bios that bricks your laptop, but that's just me.

  By default, the files on a NTFS drive are displayed in

  Black for normal files
  Blue for compressed NTFS files
  Green for the encrypted files (Windows Encrypting File System)

  If you don't like it, open a Windows Explorer window, click Tools > Folder Options > view and uncheck the box for "Show encrypted or NTFS compressed in color."  If you wish, click on the "Apply to all folders" button (you will apply all the settings for any folder you have open to all records).
