We cannot access our email from our computer was wiped out

We receive no messages at all

Sorry but you have not provided a lot of information.

If the computer has been 'erased' and the operating system reinstalled, this would have removed everything off the computer and deleted everything.

You should reinstall Thunderbird, then recreate the e-mail accounts.

If you use POP email accounts, then these emails would have been stored in Thunderbird profile on computer, so you'd need to backup these profile files "wiping" before the computer. Then you could reinstall the profile to see these emails.

If you have an IMAP email account then these emails were stored on the server, so just to recreate the e-mail account imap and subscription to see records return all emails.

So, what type of e-mail account you speak?
You have reinstalled Thunderbird?
You have re-created the e-mail accounts?

When you click on "Get the message" what happens? This error message you get... Word for Word?

You can send messages? If not, what error you get, Word for Word?

You will have access to the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for example, you can install your applications on both.

I have a MacPro. Recently, my computer was wiped out. I lost all my software. I bought CS2 years ago. I've updated by buying CS5 a few years later. My CS software is automatically updated by Adobe several months ago. Now, when I need to reinstall my software I can not do. I need to reinstall CS2 before I reinstall my CS5 update. However, my computer accepts no more CS2 software. How can I return my software?

I need to reinstall CS2 before I reinstall my CS5 update.

It is not necessary. You need only to re - install the latest version you have (full version or upgrade - all versions include the complete program code, it is the serial number that distinguishes plenty of upgrade)-even on a machine that has never had any installed Adobe software.

The installation program will ask you to enter the serial number from a previous version to verify that you qualify to use the upgrade.

Which is the last version that you own? CS5 or CS6? You have all your serial numbers?

You can download the latest version of download and Installation Help | Download and Installation Help

Install and enter your serial number.

  • Our computer was accessed remotely this afternoon, how can we prevent this?

We have a Mac Mini, with OS X 10.6.8 using NetZero DSL as our internet provider and Firefox as your browser. Our computer was accessed remotely through LogMeIn (rescue), but it seems that the person or the group failed to hack into our computer. Are there settings in Firefox that could prevent this from happening in the future? Thank you...

Firefox is a web browser not a firewall.

I agree that it's more to do with your operating system and the LogMeIn software on ensuring that only you have access when you need to.

  • How to access my emails from someone elses computer

How can I access my email from my kids computer when I'm out of State?

The best way to work with e-mail on someone else's computer is to use the webmail, go to your email provider's website in your browser and look for an option to access the e-mail.

You can install an e-mail on the laptop client, but what you see depends on what type of connection uses the account. If it's POP, you will see only newly arrived messages, and you need to be wary of leaving the only copy of the messages you read on this computer.

If she uses the IMAP protocol, you will be able to see almost all of your correspondence saved. You should always think of clear messages from the computer when return you, and probably you also want to remove Thunderbird (and profile) to remove access to your e-mail account when the computer returns to its owner.

However, Webmail leaves nothing behind the borrowed computer, so is the most intimate method.

You should not get cold-calls from computer technical support.  If you do and you do not install a sort of monitoring service you pay a fee for - it's a scam.

    Hello

Please note that it may depend on the versions of Vista and Win 7 you have.

RTD connection consists on the client computer (the computer that initiates the connection) and a host (the computer on which the connection will too.

All versions of Windows can act as Clients.

    Can host only Vista/Win 7 Pro/ultimate/Ent.

Therefore, if you have the OS Home versions', you might be out of luck.

  • Cannot access our local network Web site

We have just added a Cisco ASA5510 to protect our network. Everything works except that no one in the local network can access our imail we site. Web site points to one of our public IP address, x.x.x.35 (we have access to the web site of outside and we can just? t do inside even after the addition of the ASA). Is it possible inside computers can access our web site using the public IP address? If not, my another option is to set up a record DNS pointing to the web site, for example 192.168.0.213 = www.chicagotech.net (name of the network domain is chicagotech.local)? I can? t find a way to do it. Any suggestions?

If inside users try to connect to the public IP address then, it won't work. How do fix you this depends on where is your DNS server.

If inside users use a DNS server on the external interface, and then you can have the ASA change the DNS response during its passage through the ASA. Just add the option "dns" on the end of your static controls so that they resemble the following:

static (inside, outside) x.x.x.34 192.168.0.213 netmask 255.255.255.255 dns

static (inside, outside) x.x.x.35 192.168.0.112 netmask 255.255.255.255 dns

If inside users use a DNS server on the inside, but this server responds with the public IP address, so you'll have to change within a file so that it points to your local IP address 192.168.0.21x. No other way around it, I'm afraid.
