  • 4 "other unknown devices" in Device Manager. Windows 7 RTM 64 dv7 1450

Just bought a computer HP dv7-1450 laptop with AMD Turion X 2 64 processors. Installed Windows 7 RTM 64 and everything seems to work except there are 4 unknown "other devices" listed in Device Manager. The 4 devices are:

    -System base unit (x 3)

    -Unknown Device (x 1)

I have no idea what are these devices. I tried looking for drivers for chipset on the AMD and HP Web site without result. But I do not know if these are the associated chipsets. One of the devices would be the disk fall sensor hard (it does not appear in the device no matter where Manager)?

Unfortunately on the HP site, there are not many downloads of drivers available for the 64-bit (Vista). I know that Windows 7 64 drivers won't be available until in October, but if there are not any available Vista drivers either, I expect to see all the drivers for Windows 7?

The most important thing for me is just to know what are these "other devices" 4 and get the drivers installed.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Satellite L300 PSLBGE - unknown device in Device Manager

    Hello!

I would be very grateful for any help/tips if anyone has an idea what to do...

My friend has the laptop mentioned above (w/o OS preinstalled) and we can't get the graphics card work properly - situation is the following

    (1) mobile intel 4 series express chipset family, and an unknown device with an exclamation mark in Device Manager
    (2) both are on the same PCI BUS 0, device 2?
    (3) intel does not work because there is no free resources (I should remove the unknown device?) to work with
    (4) HW ID for the unknown device is pci ven_8086 & dev_2A43 and intel pci ven_8086 & dev_2A42 (so basically the same, right?)
    (5) Finally, and most importantly, if I go to the desktop-customize-advanced (first of all no resolution 1280 * 800) I see under adapter type:. Exactly, nothing... under properties, it appears: device not plug and play, Super VGA and under driver, I see just the status and the ability to stop, off, automatic, ask... the device at startup... If I turn it off, the screen just does not shine when the laptop is turned on...
    Any ideas? I'm insaneeeeee...

Vista Home Premium, all other Toshiba SW installed (value pack, intel BIOS 1.9, etc. - maybe the BIOS did it?)

    Thanks in advance!

PS maybe SP1 I now install help?

    Hello

Wait a minute: I checked the Vendor ID and Device ID on www.pcidatabase.com and this is the graphics card Intel. So I think that's the reason why you can t change the resolution of the screen.

I guess you forgot to install the display driver. See the Web from Toshiba site because here you can download the driver:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

After that you should t have no exclamation point.

You can install SP1 for Vista, but that does not solve the problem with the missing display driver. But you should install it because it contains a lot of updates to security, they are important. In addition, I recommend to install SP2 for Vista.

  • Satellite Pro U300 - 2 unknown devices in XP Device Manager

Just installed XP on a U300, I downloaded all the drivers from the Web site.
Now I have 2 unknown devices! Any ideas of what it could be?

    Thank you.

One could be the unknown PCI memory manager.
This PCI memory controller is Intel Turbo Memory, also called logic chip cache Flash Intel.
It is a new technology designed to support the new features of Vista.
There is no driver for Windows XP because XP doesn t supports the cache feature. Vista only supports this!

I don't know what could be the other unknown device. Check just what features don't run and you'll know what it is!

  • HP Pavilion P289SA: Unknown devices

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion P289SA laptop and I installed Windows 7 sp1 with no problems, but I still 2 yellow warnings in Device Manager.

Both are unknown devices and hardware IDS are as follows:

    ACPI\SMB0001

    * SMB0001

    And

    ACPI\HPQ6007

    * HPQ6007

I installed the latest AMD drivers from the Web site, which has been successfully installed the 3 USB ports and graphics, when I installed them it says it included pilots smb, but like I said I have still two unknown devices.

Tried to download AMD driver on the HP site for its model laptop where it has what I need, but he gets 9% and none does not move.

    Help

    Hello:

You need these drivers for devices...

This package provides the driver that allows the Synaptics TouchPad in the notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The pilot turns the touchpad General (for example, double-click and scroll) feature and provides a user interface.

    File name: sp69001.exe

This package provides the HP 3D DriveGuard software (HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection) for the laptop models running a supported operating system. HP 3D DriveGuard software protects the drive hard by parking the heads if cell phone accidentally falls, or is suddenly struck by another object.

  • Satellite C70D-B-306 - 2 unknown devices in the list of devices

    Hello

I have a PC laptop toshiba C70D-B-306 (psclee) and I reinstalled windows 8.1 since a DVD separate because I change the hard drive by default for a fast ssd drive.

Everything works, but in my device manager, I have 2 unknown devices listed (with exclamation point), as far as I know I downloaded all the drivers available from the support Web site of toshiba for this laptop and install, but the 2 unknown devices will simply not disappear.

Can someone tell me which driver I need exactly for these 2 devices?

    2 devices are:
    ACPI\ASD0001\2 & DABA3FF & 1
    and
    ACPI\SMB0001\4 & FE73487 & 0

As mentioned, I already downloaded all the drivers for this laptop and install, windows is of course to date. Also, I let windows search for drivers on the Internet and on the disc, but no driver found where.

Who can give me the Golden tip?

There is a good method to find out what drivers are missing.
First of all, you should check the DEV (device) and FRI (supplier) codes

Here's a short instruction how to find this in detail:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD0302U00000R01.htm

Know the vendor and device ID, is not a big deal to get the correct drivers.

However, you must also install additional software of Toshiba (Toshiba System Driver) out to win 8.1
Please also note that there are two areas of pilot Win 8.1: 8.1 update Win and Win 8.1 32 bit / 64 bit categories
Where you would find not all pilots within the Win 8.1 update also check categories of 32-bit / 64-bit Win 8.1.

  • Pavilion 11 x 2: unknown device after installing Windows 10

After the upgrade to Windows 10 my Device Manager shows that my PCI encryption/decryption controller has no driver installed.  I tried to use the HP Web site to get all the drivers, but it still doesn't load the drivers Intel Trusted Execution and now shows "unknown device" with no driver loaded.  How can I solve this?

    You are the very welcome.

The driver that I posted did not work is because the Intel CITY device has been successfully installed.

The unknown device is a totally different animal, and he needs this driver...

This package contains the driver which allows Intel DynamicPlatform firmware and frame heat. AndThermal framework of Intel dynamic platform providing system utilizationinformation of temperature and power to the thermal protection system work properly. This package is provided for the laptop models running the asupported operating system.

  • Unknown device on High Definition Audio Bus on Satellite M200

    Hello

I'm working on a Satellite M200 laptop customers, the Realtek sound card is not installed.
I even ran the restore partion and made a return to the factory settings and all I get is * unknown device on high definition Audio Bus * listed in the title of the other device

No sound card is listed, but I have a modem listed.
I tried to install the correct drivers from the Toshiba web site but no luck.

In my view, there is a problem with Microsofts UAA but cannot understand the exact problem.

    Hello

I assume you are using the XP operating system. Is this good?

Good friend had a similar problem and has been able to solve.
You must first install MS fixes / patches.
    AUDIO Patch1: Http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835221 KB835221
    AUDIO 2 Patch: KB888111 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111

These hotfixes must be installed at the beginning until all the audio drivers are installed on Windows XP.

After installing the patches, you can proceed with the installation of the Realtek audio driver

  • Windows 10 Device Manager: "unknown devices", ACPI (Aspire V3 - 112 p)

After a new installation of Windows 10 (64-bit / Education version) on my Aspire V3-112 p-P5B3, I have yet three "unknown devices" in my device manager and a warning about my 'SDA Standard compatible SD Host Controller'. The first three say «Drivers not installed...» "and display in the 'Détails' tab the" property: device instance path "with the" value: ACPI\INT33FC\n ' (n = 1,2,3). The "SDA". "says"device pending on another device... ". ». So I think that the last problem could somehow be based on the first three problems (?).

I installed all the drivers on the Acer site for win 10/64 bit.

I tried to update the drivers in Device Manager... the problems are still there.

I used the "driver update utility" Intel... the problems are still there.

I found some clues on the web about "ACPI\INT33FC\n" - but above all, in my opinion, the strange sites for updates of drivers. But somehow, I don't think these pages...

Someone at - it a solution for this problem? Or the same problem?

It's a serious thing? Should / can I ignore it? Maybe a future driver updated by Acer?

Any help is welcome! Thanks in advance!

ACPI is part of the Intel IO drivers:

    http://global-download.Acer.com/GDFiles/driver/IO%20Drivers/IO%20Drivers_Intel_603.9600.1948.28229_W...

Sometimes you have to force the installation manually, then go to ACPI peripheral unknow, update/install drivers manually search for and navigate to the folder drivers and let windows choose the good.

  • Unknown device - USB 2.0

I'm running Windows XP SP3 and my external hard drive (Western Digital My Passport Essential) now generates an error "Unknown device" when it is plugged.  I get the same error no matter what USB port I use - front or back of the PC.  I ran all the updates of Windows.  The device worked for almost a year on this PC and is always recognized when I plug it into my laptop which is running Windows 7.  How to fix "unknown device" on the PC? "

Yes - your system restore points are corrupted or something like that.  To have up to 90 days back leads me to believe your system restore settings are a bit on the big side (which can cause problems like that.)

Unfortunately, if SFC/scannow has not set and you already have the most recent driver (so you went to web map page motherboard chipset manufacturer, downloaded directly, there ran and installed on you anyway?), then you may be able to fix it with a repair installation (since it is Windows XP) * if * you have the installation media * and * this installation media has SP3 integrated in it?

In addition, it is possible that your USB ports are flakey.

    Hello Sosocompliterate,

Thank you for your message.  This computer connects to your printer via the USB port?  If Yes, are you able to use other USB devices on your computer?  You can try to change the output port the printer is connected to exclude a possible bad USB port on your computer.  Otherwise, if USB is detected on your computer and that you can't always not to recognize the printer, the result is most likely a bad cable or a defective printer.
