Web server with CVI

I want to know if it is possible to create a webserver with CVI so that I can connect my application and see the data with internet Explorer?

Backround: we run a CVI-application on a computer within a network. On this computer, collect US data from different systems and publish these data in a sign of the CVI. Users who want to see the data, connect to the computer with a remote control software.

Now, we wondered if it is possible to create a web server with CVI. And if the user cannot see the data on his computer using internet Explorer.

In the forum, we found a few messages very old. Are there new items on this subject?

    We have developed a cRio Datalogger and we control in a control panel with the cRio connected to our LAN.

    Now, we want to make the connection even the cRio with a Modem - Router Multitech GPRS (a Multimodem with DynDns capabilities). The problem is that our GPRS service provider gives a private IP, so we cannot access the cRio from the internet.

In the vi client we have added a few indicators to indicate the network address a remote port, but we cannot open a table of customer order vi from the computer running the vi server, using the collected information. The network address, it is not an IP number is a name and to our surprise, the remote port number is different than the port used by the example.

    Conclusion, we can make a TCP/IP connection if the communication is started by the device with GPRS Modem, but we cannot do the opposite. The problem is the same to have a web server running on a PC in a LAN and want to access it from the internet without having access to the router configuration.

    And because the remote connection of façade is started by the PC who want to open us cannot operate.

    Any idea is possible, we want to do this?

I also had to change the structure of the file xml... .to make it easier. After yo day location of preview... .simply do a preview to see the result.

    But it is not part of the J2EE installation. How can I get the software needed for the configuration of Apache?

    I am a complete newbie. I had to have an existing LabView project and have been asking if it can work with a PHP Web site. I would like to be able to create a form (for entry) on a Web page, and then go this LabView project entry existing. The existing LabView project then treats the input and generates a text file that the user wants to download from the site.

    So my question is, is it possible? If so, how to configure it and what products/costs might be involved?

    Hi Andy -.

    There are a few limitations "Remote panels" who probably will not do what you are trying to do as possible.  First, the remote panels have only runs on a Server Web of LabVIEW, and this server does not support PHP.  Integrate a web site that uses a web server with more features of LabVIEW is to put the server on a different port and then use an iFrame or something to integrate LabVIEW remote panel page into your own web site.  Communication back will probably have to use another protocol tansportation or to read and write files that they read and write.

    I highly recommend that you look in another function to LabVIEW, called "Web Services".  These are quite a bit different approach of the remote control and are available only on version 8.6 and later (and probably only editions of developers).  Services Web of LabVIEW allows you to perform a LabVIEW program (or modify an existing one) to connect back using XML.  It is a common place to consume and send commands to a Web Service of LabVIEW by using something like PHP or Flash.  However, you are responsible to provide interfacing features in the language that you use that consume the Web Service of LabVIEW.  For example, instead of a graphic on the front, you would need graphical data output and a PHP program that can do something with it.

    Web Services are quite handy if you need a 'light' client, as well as material interaction features of LabVIEW.

    BUT as C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\ www\index.html says:

    If the Web of LabVIEW server does not use port TCP/IP 80, enter the following URL in the address field of Web browser (where port is the port number that uses the Web of LabVIEW server): http://localhost:port / examples.htm.

    Now the two example: creating a Web Service (Windows) of the help of LabView and the book.lvproj work address OR example finder.

    I will welcome external guests (outside) access to the web server (30.30.30.2) via port 80.

    This web server access turn the database server (10.10.10.2).

    Assume that all other commands are issued. Then, I'll create an access list that allows server WWW DMZ to communicate with inside the database server.

    Should I publish the following, too:

    1. Yes, the static statement "10.10.10.0 static (inside, dmz) 10.10.10.0 netmask 255.255.255.0" will disable NAT. Although it is not necessary to disable nat, however, it saves money and simple to manage. the reason for this is the traffic between the dmz and inside is private, there is therefore not necessary to apply the public ip address.

    2 pix receives the package intended to 30.30.30.2 10.10.10.2. PIX examines the static statement and based on the static above statement, pix will not nat package (i.e. pix will leave the soruce address be) and send it to 30.30.30.2 via the interface of the demilitarized zone.

    for example

    original package - source 10.10.10.2, destination 30.30.30.2

    After pix - source 10.10.10.2, destination 30.30.30.2

    3. the "Clear xlate" command must be issued whenever the nat/global or static has been added/deleted/modified. This command is to force the pix to clear the existing ip translation.

    for example, before you add the command "static 1.1.1.1 (indoor, outdoor) 192.168.1.100 netmask 255.255.255.255", the pix may already have an ip 192.168.1.100 translation (it might come from the nat/global). now, after you apply the static command, the pix will keep the existing translation for a certain period time. 'clear xlate' is needed to erase the old translation and so to activate the new static statement.

    You named your file mytestwebsite with space at the end which turns into URI mytestwebsite % 20. You must delete the space between the name of the folder or try to use localhost/mytestwebserver%20/index.htm or create the virtual host.

  • PIX with H & S VPN DMZ hosting web server to the hub

    Heres a problem which I think would be quite common for these even remotely conscious of security. Unfortunately, my knowledge of the PIX (as well as other Cisco devices) is still in phase of 'growth '.

    So, here's the problem. I have a WAN put in place with PIXen and SonicWalls, we are set up in a design essentially Hub and Spoke (fine ok so it is partially meshed). We recently decided to pull the trigger on getting a 'real' web site and everything went relatively well that getting up and rolling. (even with my notice of 3 days/deadline), but here's the problem: I set up the web server on the DMZ to the hub pix, and I figured out (the easy part) how to set things so in the Home Office, people can connect to the web server by using the internal address, but I don't know what to do for people in remote offices with VPN home connections. I tried to define static routes, I tried to add the DMZ to the VPN trigger, I tried to do both of the last things together, and I checked that I have rules allowing traffic to the VPN outside the DMZ on the inside. So, what else can I I get?

    I have no problem by configuring a PIX for all basic ups and VPN even at this stage, I can do most of it through the CLI (even if I still want to do more through the PDM). My biggest stumbling block on the PIX has so far was when I actually involve this pesky DMZ...

    I actually two PIX in my office, two for my network domestic (one for my place in the States and one for my place in the Japan), so if you can help me, I'll be the two problems and do not forget to give a rating of excellent reviews!
