  I recently acquired a laptop Toshiba Satellite L300D-11V to my daughter when she was upgraded to a netbook. It had Vista on it and I tried to installed Windows 7. I've never owned a notebook pc before, only a desktop pc; and they have never been through an OEM like Toshiba, but is built for me or by me. I bought Windows 7 and here, asked if he had any tips to install the drivers on my laptop Toshiba.

  The drivers for this camera software might work when installed by Toshiba with all the other stuff of Toshiba, and they resolutely refuse to work if you remove the software of all Toshiba with a clean install of Windows 7. The camera works you understand with other software; Messenger or Skype; but on its own... no! I managed to remove the message "the pilot was able to start" and thought that I had a crush, but I now have a message "webcam disabled or has failed.

  At least he does when you try to start the software, not on every start at the beginning. So I'll stick to this... unless of course... ??
  At times like this I realize why I buy a machine no OEM and install my own operating system and the latest drivers, not the old ones that are provided and not updated by OEM.

  I don't know if you can have the Satellite L300D-11V with licensed XP, but Vista with SP1 is almost as fast as Windows XP.

  I have 2 x Satellite L300D-11V notebook PC series and both have the same problem: they're not detect my network wireless in my house but I've proved the wireless hub using a third PC (HP) and works perfectly.

  I ve checked the wireless switch is enabled and made key FN + F8, but it cannot always find a network. I checked the devices in the network adapters and find Realtek RTL8102E Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC but it's a card LAN isn't?

  Other devices show a unknown device, but where can I find the wireless device?

  I put t understand why you need a CD/DVD driver or tell you the driver does not work.

  The CD/DVD driver for the reader is part of Windows. You don't need one and should not install a new or something else. When you have problems with the drive, it s not the driver, it s another issue.

  Now have yellow marks in the Device Manager and can use the drive? On the right, a right click on the drive and select uninstall. Restart your laptop, and the driver should be installed automatically.

  I doubt that it is a dysfunction of the accumulator because the startup laptop doesn t even the power adapter is plugged.
  I think you should try this workaround:
  Remove the battery from the laptop and unplug the power adapter.
  Then wait about 20-30 minutes and then reconnect the two parts.

  I noticed that other people have posted messages asking for help on this subject. I have problems in the webcam integrated on my laptop model Satellite A200. There are no icons in what concerns this camera and I'm puzzled because the manual doesn't even mention the camera.

  There is no link in the menu all startup programs. I tried the solution suggested in the forum to add this as a USB but the phone said that there was a mistake. I'm not the person more computer in the world and I would be grateful if someone wants to be good enough to post a step by step guide on how to get this on camera.   Helsfeas if you use the pre-installed Windows Vista you will be able to find the installer for your webcam chicony under the C: don't / drivers directory Toshiba which must be in your hard drive.   The solution is:

  1 - Download the latest Camera Utility for Windows Vista (v6.2.208.424, 31/08/2007; 24.48 M) for toshiba

  2 uninstall the old and install a new

  3. for sure restart after uninstall and restart after installation

  4 - Download the Chicony USB 2.0 from this link http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/A8E/CAMERA_Chicony_CNF6039_VISTA_070626.zip

  5 - once the download is complete, extract the files

  6 - right click computer, properties = Device Manager = ricght under imaging devices click Chicony = update driver software

  7. after the software update of the driver is loaded, click Browse my computer for driver software then let me pick from a list of... u will see the list of compatible hardware
  Click video device usb then I drive u will locate the extracted directory and you will see two model click on USB 2.0 1 3 m UVC Webcam u you will get a message install this driver is not recommended... Press Yes and wait until your driver is intalled. Restart your system

  I assume that it should be possible to use the SSD with AHCI mode.

  The AHCI means that the SSD or HARD disk would go with SATA performance but for that you need to install the SATA driver first.
  If SATA is set in compatible mode, then a SATA driver is not necessary to install the Windows operating system.

  -n t need SATA drivers in compatibility mode
  -you need SATA drivers in AHCI mode
