  • built-in webcam not found in the Device Manager, Samsung r710 laptop, windows 7

I have a laptop Samsung R710, who settled with Windows 7. The laptop came with a built-in webcam. I was not able to get a piece of software to recognize the camera. I did a system restore. Updated the drivers. Visited the Samsung website for updates. When I opened the Device Manager to see the drivers for the webcam, webcam not found in Device Manager.

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, I must admit to thinking in the same direction you... buy a separate camera or wait until he is more under warranty and have a quick look at the wiring around the hinge.

Is the webcam or any device marked with visible yellow exclamation point in Device Manager?

Otherwise, the webcam module is defective and must be replaced.

    Hello

It s not recognized in Device Manager?
You have a few unknown devices in Device Manager?

The webcam should be included under point: imaging devices
You should see peripheral USB video.

    You see that?

  • Win 7 of the touchpad does not work on Satellite C855-21V

    Hello everyone!

I have a Satellite C855-21V and it came with Windows 8. After a week of disaster I m sure I want never again a Windows 8 on my computer!

So, I installed Windows 7 and can find all the drivers somewhere in the internet.
The only thing that does work is the touchpad.

8 Win driver Don t work and other models the driver win 7 do not work.
Does anyone know what brand the touchpad or where to find a driver for win 7?

Thank you all for the help!

    Best regards

    Frank

    Hello

First and foremost the touchpad should work after installing Win 7.
The Windows contain a standard touchpad driver that needs to control the touchpad.

Of course the extra Synaptics driver installation would give more willing touchpad (fingers to scroll, etc.), but also without the driver Synaptics touchpad should work.

In any case, I already mentioned the Synaptics driver that you can download that here:
    http://www.Synaptics.com/resources/drivers

PS: is the active touchpad? F5 turns the touchpad on and off

  • Built in webcam not found on the computer.

Hi, back for a while that I had to have it replaced my computer screen. After that it has been replaced, my webcam not working not. He said that there is no webcam. Before that the screen had to be replaced, it works beautifully. What could be the problem and how to fix this? Thank you for your help.

    Hi Randalynf,

Please answer a few questions to refine the question.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. When you say "screen is replaced", hear you screen has replaced for a new one? What was the exact problem with the monitor?

    3. what happens when you try to access with the Webcam software that came with the computer?

This problem normally occurs when there is no problem with the driver for the Webcam device software.

I suggest you follow the steps below to see if that helps.

    Method 1:

    Step 1: Find material webcam

Take a quick moment to visually inspect the top of the screen of your computer. Look closely, you should see a small lens at the top in the Center, if your computer is equipped with a webcam. Some models do not come with a webcam and the area where the webcam would normally be resident is replaced by a small plastic cap.
Often, there are small holes near the top center of your screen. These holes are for the microphone or other sensors and do not contain any webcam.
    • If your computer lacks a built-in webcam, you must use an external USB webcam.
    • If your computer is equipped with a built-in webcam and you can't use it, go to step 2

Step 2: Find and use the Webcam software that came with your computer

Try to access the webcam that is preinstalled on your computer.

If you can't find and open the webcam for your computer software, then go to the next step.
If you have found the software of the webcam and it opens and you see a picture, then finished. Your webcam works.
If you found webcam software and it opens, but you can't see the video in the main display window, restart the computer and try again.
If the problem persists, use the troubleshooting section "video does not appear in the webcam software.
    Method 2:

If you are able to find the Webcam on your screen and you cannot view the video using the software installed, you may need to update the Webcam drivers for more later.
Read the sections "If you have problems with your webcam' in the article and check the results.»

Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you.

  • With Windows 7 or 8 on my 2710p (built in webcam), the camera driver says "HP Webcam not found"

I had the webcam on my 2710p with Windows 7 running for a while, but after I plugged an external webcam (I think it's marked Microsoft), it's almost as if my built in webcam dissappeared.  I tried to format the computer to Windows 7 and now Windows 8 (the two 32-bit), hoping that a new facility would solve the problem, but when I try and install the driver of webcam sonix from the page of drivers hp for the 2710p (with W7 Home Premium 32 bit drivers), it says "HP Webcam has not found! Please connect the HP webcam and then run Setup again. "The only unknown device in my device manager is the PCI controller, I don't really like.

What happens here? I'm pretty tech literate, but I'm stumped here.

Webcams are fragile and I suspect yours is dead. I think that it is a coincidence that it happened while you were using an external webcam.

  • Webcam not found by Skype

Friday last Skype forced me to update. so far, I've used the 6.1.999 special version. With the 6.18.0 of the latetest version it does not recognize the webcam not more. There are configuration-> device management. No other program is using the webcam. Why Skype does not see the camera?

First uninstalled ASUS Virtual Camera application.

If this will still not help then uninstall the version 6.18 and install the 6.14.0.104 old version of Skype.

You can use this link to download Skype 6.14.0.104.

  • Mouse pad does not work on Satellite C855-13D

    Hi, I have a SATELLITE C855 - 13 T.

I got the TI monthly and now the mouse pad stopped working. Both the touchpad and and right/left clicks don't work. I managed to connect an external mouse on the USB port that works very well. I restarted the laptop several times and also checked the settings of Control Panel-mouse, which indicates that the device Touchpad works properly. I also checked the option to disable the external internal when device is connected is also unchecked.

I would be very grateful if anyone has any advice on how to get this working again.

    Thank you very much

To be honest all you've done is just. You need to check if the touchpad is disabled somehow but if everything seems to be on the last and final test you can do is to install original recovery image and test the feature with the factory settings.

OK, it's a method more radical but more effective to check the operation of the equipment.

Please post a feedback about your decision what to do and result about if you try to check with the factory settings.

  • Webcam not found - tried everything, please help!

I can't get my webcam to be detected in any program, I've tried so far. I have a laptop ASUS. It has an internal webcam. This webcam, used to work. He says its fine all in Manager devices etc. Just that when I go to use Skype or whatever it is he just does not detect it. Have you tried the pilot - says update latest driver is installed etc...

I thought that maybe my internal webcam is broken, so I bought a new external webcam, just a generic brand name. It does the same thing. Everything seems fine, he detected, it installed, it, she worked in my device manager, the driver is up to date etc... just says: "no webcam not detected" when I come to use it... I have tried everything that I can think and read other peoples troubleshooting questions etc, still cannot solve this problem...

Is it a secret "disable webcam" button a hand I could have pushed and forgotten or something? I'm full of ideas... Thanks for any help.

    Hello Rhuben,

    Thank you for your response.

  • Satellite A660 - Webcam not found at all

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me please. I tried to use the webcam on my Satellite A660 PSAW3A 0TK00R using Windows 7 32 bit. When I open the Toshiba "Web Camera Application" application, the application will not load again and he says to the camera cannot be found.

When I try to use the web cam on another application like Skype, webcam for TOSHIBA Analog Capture (Dev1 path2) he has said "unable to start the video. Try closing other programs that may use your webcam "."

I tried to download the Toshiba Web Camera Application Webcam 1.1.1.15 Windows 7 32 bit 28,78 MB of the Toshiba site and who does nothing after she extracted. I followed the extraction to the temp directory and tried the file setup.exe. It uninstalled the Web camera Application. Restarted the computer, and then run Setup.exe and it reinstalled the program.

After doing this, the problem is always exactly the same. I looked for the driver in Device Manager and you can not find a driver related to the webcam to restart. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the webcam working?

    Thank you very much

    Nick

    Hello

I recommend a new installation driver webcam

This means that you need to remove the current version of the driver for the webcam (Control Panel > uninstall a program) and then restart your computer. Use Ccleaner or another registry to remove bad registry keys and restart again. Then install the latest driver for the webcam that you can find.

    Check this box!

  • S7-391 webcam not found

    Dear all

My 8 month old Acer S7-391 has only recogmizing the web camera. I don't know when it happened, but I recently tried to make a video call with Skype only to be informed by the software no camera has been detected. When I tried to locate it manually through the camera application once again the app told me no camera found. Any ideas of what could be the problem and how to fix it? Don't really want to go down the road of system restore. Also there is not driver site acer for my model, why is this?

    Dimkozi

You may first need to check if your device is displayed in your device manager and to solve the problems with it (if there is one). To do this, refer to "to manage devices" section on the support page of Microsoft at the following address:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/Add-view-manage-devices-Printers

(Important: If your device doesn't appear at all in Device Manager, we recommend that you contact the Acer Support for further assistance that your laptop is under warranty.) You can reach the Acer Support via the following link:

If you were able to locate your device in the device but Manager following the troubleshooting steps in the link above did not solve your problem, you can try to update your webcam drivers. To do this, click on the following link, then go to the section "installing the drivers yourself" and then go to ' to manually install a driver"section:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/all-drivers

If you want that Windows automatically recommends the latest drivers and updates for your device, follow the instructions on the Microsoft support page below:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/automatically-get-recommended-drivers-and-updates-for-yo...

Hope this will solve your problem.
