WebCenter Imaging requirement:

Hi Experts,

I need your help on this requirement.

I got a new requirement that is to say:

We receive the pdf file and the xml file in the Email and users will do the manual entry and copy the two files to shared folders to save AAU and get it (convert tiff and xml) attached to the button fastening of the EBS corresponding to this entry.

Now as we receive pdf file that I need to use ODC to convert to tiff, but here's my question, is - it is possible to convert and to engage without you rename a file from PDF files and XML are bearing the same name?

and also how can I create a txt file (XML and TIFF) relative path the two file.

Any other approach is welcome.

Thank you

Shivam

If you want to control the database file names that come out of the ODC, turn on the naming of the Document files in the settings of the driver configuration commit.  He then founded the names of files out of index values.  And if you want to use the same names as the names of e-mail attachments, use the Import Server macro to record the names of attachments filename for the index fields so that they can be used in the name of the document file.  For a sample macro, see Doc ID 799926.1 (sample capture Import Server Macro name of the Parent file apply to the field of Index Meta-data) on Oracle's Support website.

    Yes,

Oracle I / PM does not automatically have the application documents in a folder. However, by changing an application profile and profile rules, you can automatically assign documents to a specific folder.

  • How to trigger the workflow of UCM criteria while pushing the Webcenter Imaging paper

    Hello

(With the help of Webcenter 11.1.1.9.X)

We work for installation of the Imaging Solution. I defined and activated a workflow of criteria to the AAU and able to trigger when I check in a document directly from the console of the Complutense University of MADRID. But this workflow does not occur when a document is pressed at the UCM Webcenter Imaging as part of the Imaging Solution.

Is it possible to trigger workflow UCM criteria through validation of imaging profile somehow?

As shown ( Doc ID 1286047.1), I realized that if we can fill metadata IdcService, flow of criteria can be triggered. But do not know how can I fill value to metadata IdcService in IPM for the document corresponding to a UCM.

Any input would be greatly helpful.

Note: according to the ( Doc ID 1253304.1), It is not possible to trigger the workflow of criteria if the document is pushed with the charger in batches. I am confused with these two Metalink. Please help.

All notifications of OOTB in Content Server (workflow those subscriptions) will focus on your Content Server users. If your intention is to display an image from imagery (for example with additional annotation via the Viewer), this could be quite undesirable.

Imaging, OOTB notifications are listed here: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/admin.1111/e12782/c02_security.htm#CDDGGHDI and it recommends BPEL.

And if so, can someone confirm what the variables 'var_jndiURIServer' and 'var_jndiURIServerPort' must be defined on the create-foreign-JNDI.py script? Should they be the server (localhost and port 8001) SOA, the WLS (localhost and port 7001) or server (localhost and port 16000) imaging?

var_jndiURIServer = "" # (-t) URI of Oracle SOA Suite JNDI target host

Well, I just upgraded from CS3 to CS4.

The first file I tried to publish ('put') on my site... requires graphics that are located in the folder "image".

CS4 * only * published the file itself (index.htm)... but I DON'T download any of the images required

I used to do the same thing all the time with the CS3 version... and DW would always detect that the images were necessary for the full display of the page... and would automatically download "necessary pictures" at the same time.

This page seems correct in the "Overview" using Internet Explorer 4 on my desktop using CS4.

But NONE of the images are downloaded with the page publish.

CS4 must some special setting... selected to tell him to "transfer associated graphs" (or something similar)?

    Thanks for anyone's help.

You choose dependent files must be downloaded with the selected files

The default is to not download dependent files.

  • Posting profile is mandatory to have a workspace Capture Webcenter?

My requirement is to read document (s) an email a/c and commit to imagery with associated metadata.

We use Oracle Webcenter Imaging and Capture of version 11.1.1.8.X.

We use no pattern recognition to identify metadata (as the name of the customer, phone contact information for a customer card). We must read the card of an email a/c in Imaging / Content Server. As I have no other option to read the metadata of the document, I intend to define a workspace to read the doc in an email a/c with webcenter capture (11.1.1.8.0) on any defined posting profile. And plans to stand out manually from capture to client after filling the metadata so that it committed to the IPM. I may have some SOA/BPEL workflow for notifications of message engaging imagery.

Is this the right approach to define a workspace with a posting profile in Capture (just with a limitation of the association of metadata, in the case of reading email a/c)

You don't need to commit directly from Capture to IPM, but you will need a posting profile to "export" the data in a batch open somewhere. You can commit to db or a folder of files, if you want to. However, to commit workflows, you can use the IPM workflow engine is (which is nothing but BPEL/SOA/BPM).

  • Installation of Oracle WebCenter Suite 11g

    Hi all

We have a requirement where we need to install full Oracle WebCenter Suite 11 g. I think starting with a component at a time, in the process began with WebCenter content, and once he did want to go with other products. Is this approach feasible?

Now, when you install WebCenter content do we need to have Oracle SOA suite as well (compulsory) for some components or can we ignore it and install necessary at a later point in time?

Can someone please answer my questions above to go ahead with the installation?

    Thank you

    Moore

    Hello

What previously mention Webcenter suite and Soa Suite is two different products as a whole.

When you say "our development Team wishes to explore the product and it's features" then now you install just webcenter content. With this installation, you will be able to extend the content area for the three products namely Webcenter Capture, Webcenter, Webcenter Imaging.AXF tables will be automatically created under the scheme of imagery.

Once you want to integrate AXF SOA then go ahead and install SOA suite in same or different area and integrate them. (So at this point, you can skip this step associated with SOA).

Note: AXF BPM necessary suite BPM and AXF for BPEL need SOA Suite (BPM is yet another product built on SOA suite)

  • Compare DocuShare (Xerox) and Oracle Webcenter document management

Hi Experts, could you please share functionality available in Oracle webcenter and missing in DocuShare.

In Docushare, characteristic eForms is the part of Docushare but webcenter coontent, OCR is produced separate and distinct requirements of the webcenter content.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Thank you

WFR classifies documents and use of OCR full-page or zonal to extract data. It is no secret that it's an OEM of Brainware version that runs on the Windows architecture. It does not require IIS to work but the Auditor on the web (for OCR error correction) requires IIS, or you can use the thick client or Citrix. It is not an add-on for Webcenter content but a full-fledged product. It comes preconfigured for the extraction of the Bill because it is part of the Solution Oracle Bill accelerator that includes a workflow Webcenter Imaging /BPEL for the cost of treatment that interacts with the EBS. IMO this is the best Bill Extractor of data out there specifically for the extraction of the line, but you can set up to classify and extract data from any type of OCRable document and send out some DM system you like and lats.

The equivalent used by Docushare is a rival product OEM ABBYY, you would have to make a thorough study of each to determine what are the missing features, I think that would take someone experienced a week and an inexperienced person too long to be useful.

  • UCR-6002: the database specified does not have the minimum requirement to load the metadata repository.

    Hi all

I want to install a test environment with the following software products:

    WebLogic Server 10.3.6

    WebCenter Capture 11.1.1.8.0

    WebCenter Imaging 11.1.1.8.0

    BPM 11.1.1.7.0

    SOA Suite 11.1.1.7.0

Oracle Database Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.2.0 12 c

I use the remote 11.1.1.8.0 to create the database schemas.

When RCU checks the prerequisites, it comes up with a warning as follows:

«The database you connect to, is one newer than the supported version.» See the matrix of certification for the supported DB versions".

If I type 'ignore' on the message box, it stops the verification process will not continue. Also, if I type "Cancel" does the same thing.

The error message displayed in the Message box is both below:

UCR-6002: the database specified does not have the minimum requirement to load the metadata repository.

UCR-6080: Global check prerequisites failed - requirement of verification for the specified database

The database that you connect is a CDB that is not supported.

    Action taken:

    1. check again on the database character set and confirmed it is set up correctly for AL32UTF8

    2. the databases are supported for WebCenter 11.1.1.8.0 + 12.1.0.1, so the database version is supported.

Hope someone knows what's going on.

    Thanks in advance.

Try to create a plugable (PDB) database within the CBD and then rerun

    the UCR.

May be restricted the RCU to install MDS and other schemas FMW the

  • WebCenter Universal Content Management vs. content WebCenter

OK, so I'm really confused... I know that this question is asked a lot, but the responses I see don't make sense. In this Oracle document lists the UCM and WebCenter content as two different applications with different characteristics (although if you look closely, you will notice that they are all the same features, just worded differently). But in this article, she states that WebCenter content was previously Manager of content business, and in this one, he says that WebCenter content used to be named Complutense University of MADRID.

    How does have any meaning?

In fact, it is not quite correct.

First, we must distinguish between product and SKU.

Universal Content Management, University Complutense of MADRID, was a SKU that existed also in 11g (and has been restored as a content WebCenter: Universal Content Management). It contains the central module (called at the time of the Stellent content server), as well as the majority of the optional modules (documents, management of the WebContent AKA Site Studio, Digital Asset Management, just to name a few). But license contained UCM also restricted licenses to other products such as Secure Enterprise Search, BPEL Process Manager and Weblogic Server (not required in 10 g).

In addition, rates until December 2011 contained two another 'product' SKU, namely Universal Records Management, URM, imaging and process management, I / PM (now called WebCenter Imaging) and a "suite" product, Enterprise Content Management Suite, which contained all of the UCM, URM, I / PM and now no longer existing IRM (Information Rights Management to secure workstations documents at the level of the customer).

Originally, WebCenter content was nothing other than the rest of the ECM. Later, we MRI has been deleted, and even later, we the WebCenter content added restricted permit unified BPM Suite rather than simply BPEL PM. At the end of 2012 AAU SKU has been reinstated as already mentioned.

In this perspective: the main difference between the AAU and WebCenter content is:

-Happy contains also imaging and Record Management (RM is currently only available in this Reference)

-Happy contains human BPM Suite rather that BPEL PM - BPM Suite is more suited to the workflow

  • use of display and IMAQ image memory

    Hello

I wonder how much memory is used when updating from imaq image display.

I need to display images (512 x 512 size) acquired by a camera in real time. But I don't necessarily need show each of them so that can save me some memory. The camera runs at 50 fps and I can live with display rate 5 frames per second.

Right now my image display is updated from the buffer (updated at 50 fps) continuous (Snapshot mode off). I guess I have 3 options:

1 use the lifestyle snapshot and say explicitly on the screen to update. Whenever the display is refreshed, a copy of the image is created. But I guess that the previous copy is destroyed at the next update. If this method costs an extra copy of the image in memory.

    2. create an extra copy of the image that is updated only at 5 fps and connect it to the display of the image (Snapshot mode off). I think this is equivalent to method 1, with respect to the use of the memory.

    3. in the State. No additional copies of the image is stored. But the display is updated at 50 fps.

Which is more expensive, update the display 10 times faster or holding an extra image even copy of the memory size?

    Thank you!

It is not really a memory problem: you have an indicator to display images. Display an image requires additional resources, but there is no continuous memory allocation! Once the resources are allocated, the use of the memory of your application will remain stable. (Otherwise, something goes wrong and need to be identified and fixed.)

MS Edge, will download only the required image, IE11 current size/resolution and below does not support the srcset.

Firefox/Chrome, will download all the images if you use sizes, and only the image required if you use the resolution.

Safari and iOS, requires version 8 or 9, but 8 only supports the resolution feature.

Android, will depend on the browser you are using, but the browser prior to version 5.1 Android does not support srcset, but if you install Firefox or Chrome then you will need version 46 or 51 respectively.
