WebLogic on Linux and LiveCycle on Windows?

Hello!

I feel I have a terribly stupid question... either, here, he'll...

A customer has Weblogic on Linux and I would like to install LiveCycle on Windows using this Weblogic as application server.

Possible at all?

Thank you for any ideas - please bear with me in this one.

Marcos

Yes, it is possible to install LiveCycle on Windows but targeting Linux.

  • Installation of Hyperion 11.1.2.4 for all foundation and weblogic admin server on Linux and HFM on the window

    Hello

We have planned the implementation of several node, where a server under Linux OS has foundation, OSH and weblogic domain.  Server B on window has HFM.  We know now that we can have single domain web-logic since HFM has no binary for Linux (and we must at least HFM web - app to install if we want common weblogic domain).  In this case, what is the common practice.  Should we local domain web-logic on the server HFM window?  Is there a better way?

    Thank you.

My understanding is that you need one,

#Separate Weblogic domain for the components installed on the Linux box (Foundation)

#Separate Weblogic domain for the HFM components installed on the Windows machine

Such as Weblogic in Linux can't talk to the components installed on the Windows machine.

  • EPM 11.1.2.3: deployment of java web applications on environment Mix Linux and windows

    Hi all

I intend to install and configure EMP 11.1.2.3.

We have 2 of linux and windows server 1.

on linux, I am planning to install foundation, Essbase and planning.

and in windows I intend to install HFM and FDMEE.

now my question is when you perform the configuration for HFM and FDMEE, I need to deploy the java web application for HFM and FDMEE on windows.

so everything by deploying web applications in java on windows that I put a different name for "domain name".

as linux domain name will be 'EPMSystem', so for windows it would be different as 'EPMSystem1'.

There will be no problem if the domain names are the same for both linux and windows?

and for weblogic server port must be different as 7001 on linux and 7002 on HFM?

  • System partitions and upgrade to Windows 7, Linux

Yesterday, I bought my first CV - ProBook 4515 s model with SLED 11 Linux preinstaled. Given that I'm not familiar with Linux systems first thing I did was to install Windows 7.

My laptop came with 4 partitions that is formatted in a file system that Windows does not recognize. I'm guessing a partition for installing Linux, two of them are system (HP_TOOLS and HP_RECOVERY) partitions and the fourth was just an empty disk. So I formatted the fourth partition and installed Windows 7.

The problem is now that I am out of system partitions, so can not access other software preinstaled and QuickLook. I tried a single partition format and rename it to HP_TOOLS and then tried to install QuickLook v. 3 but the facility reported that my system has not been supported? I don't want to mess with the other partitions in the fear that I could remove the BIOS, but want to sort this mess up and would certainly like to have some of the options that is is installed with the system.

    Any suggestions?

Message edited by Martine on 14/10/2009 14:07

I think that the HP_TOOLS and HP_RECOVERY partitions are formatted as ext2 or ext3 file system, Windows cannot read. It can only read NTFS and FAT32. There is no way I can think to convert the ext2\3 to NTFS without keeping the integrity of the system. In addition, the files are all intended for linux and not Windows. He has makes no sense to do that. That said, I'm not sure if your laptop has Windows 7 drivers now.

    Hello.

Mozilla has released, on 11 July, FF 5.0.1 to bring increased compatibility with Mac OS X Lion. You said:

Please note: users on Windows and Linux do not need and will not see the updated offer.

Yesterday, I noticed that FF 5.0.1 for Linux and Windows are available.

However, I can't find any credible information on the Internet which is all about. "Notice of security for Firefox", "The Mozilla Foundation security advisories" and 'US-CERT current activity' pages did not mention of FF 5.0.1 for Linux and Windows at all.

Could you please shed some light on this particular and still mysterious version?

    Thanks in advance.

  • How can I remove linux and reinstall windows 8.1?

Hello. I recently installed a distribution linux (OS elementary, Luna) on my HP Pavilion g6. My pc is preinstalled with Windows 8. I decided to evaluate linux and installed on my computer. I was not paying attention when installing and apparently replaced Windows 8. My question is, how do I get it back? I am a person without any repair records and don't have anyway make one (since I am just a computer nerd aged 15 years). I heard that HP computers have a bios recovery console, but if that's true how to reach it?

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

For this reason, you will not be able to use the Windows 8 disc retail to activate the license incorporated, it does not recognize. That's why you need HP recovery media, otherwise you will end up having to buy a new license.

  • Secondary disk between Linux and Windows guests share

    Hi guys,.

I have a requirement to have a guest Windows and Linux comments share the same disk (formatted in NTFS) and the two systems need full access to the shared file system.

What I've read, it is possible in some cases, such as the Windows Server cluster.

Has anyone tried this with Linux and Windows?

    Thank you

What I've read, it is possible in some cases, such as the Windows Server cluster.

Windows uses a cluster without sharing, wherever a single node has access on the drive shared at the same time. Microsoft does not support concurrent access to an NTFS file system, with the exception of Hyper-V.

  • Comparison of installation of HCM and Solution Campus 9.0 with Linux and Windows

    People,

Hello. I install PeopleTools 8,53 HCM with Campus Solution 9.0 review 5.
PeopleSoft Internet Architecture is WebLogic11g/Tuxedo11g/OracleDatabase11g with OS Oracle Linux 5.10.

In the process of seting up to its instance named "HRCS90" using opt/PT8.53/setup/PsMpDbInstall/setup.sh database, there is a step like below:

    Database create Type:

    (1) demo
    (2) system of
    (3) system of PeopleTools

Select Demo or system, the next step "select PeopleSoft Applications" has only a single element:

    (1) PeopleSoft HRCS Demo Database - US English.

When set up "HRCS90" with SQL Server 2005 and Windows Server 2003, there is another element: PeopleSoft HRCS Database - English American.

I need not demo database. I need HRCS database only because the demo database is much more disk space.

The document "PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and Campus Solutions 9.0 revision 5 Installation Guide" does not specify the detailed process to implement an instance of database HRCS.
I can't find other documents from PeopleSoft to set up an instance of database HRCS.

    My questions are:

First of all, how much more space "HRCS Demo database" occupies only the "HRCS database"? Are there "Database HRCS' for Linux and Oracle database?
Second, you will find the PeopleSoft document about the process of seting HRCS 9.0 database on Linux and Oracle database instance?

    Thank you.

It could be how you have installed the software itself (options checked). Take a look at this thread, it may help.

  • Oracle on Linux and Windows Client question database server: NetMgr Windows and Linux NetMgr

    People,

Hello. I have installed Oracle Database 11 g 2 server in the Oracle Linux 5 Starter PT853 Instance of database virtual machine. Then I installed Oracle Database 11 g 2 client for 32-bit Windows XP 64 - bit Windows virtual machine. Now I face the problem of connection of the VMs 2 as below:

In Manager Net Linux Server Machine:

    Service name: PT853
    Connection type: default database
    "TCP/IP Protocol".
    Host name: localhost
    Port name: 1521

    Listener: LISTENER
    Protocol: TCP/IP
    Host: localhost
    Port: 1521

I test the Service PT853 with "SYSADM" username and password "SYSADM". The connection is successful.
In the Windows XP Client computer, the information in the Net Manager is the same, but the connection is not successful. Its details are as below:

    NET Service Name: PT853
    Protocol: TCP/IP
The database Machine host name: localhost
    Port number: 1521
Name of the Basic Service: PT853
    Connection type: default database

I have test the Service using "SYSADM" UserID and password to 'SYSADM' which are the same with Linux, but this error: TNS: listener does not currently of service requested in connect descriptor.

I followed this tutorial http://www.vmware.com/support/ws5/doc/ws_devices_serial_2vms.html to configure 2 virtual machines in Windows 7 host machine.

In Windows XP Oracle database Client Installer directory, the "tnsnames.ora" file has an entry that matches the name Service in Net Manager. Directory of database server installation Oracle Linux, the file 'tnsnames.ora' has no entry because I installed the server of Oracle database with the instance of database startup PT853.

I tried to test 2 virtual machines in the way as below:

    In Linux, [user@localhost ~] $ping WindowsXP_HostName
    Release: Unknown host WindowsXP_HostName

At the Windows XP command prompt:
    C:\ping localhost.localdomain
Its release: ping localhost 127.0.0.1 with 32 bytes of data...
    Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes = 32 time = 2ms TTL = 128

He meets a few times and then disconnected by itself. It seems that Windows XP is ping itself and not Linux server. The host name of the Linux server is 'localhost' as well. It is a kind of confusion for me.

From the information above, we can see that 2 VMs cannot connect between them. Net Manager in Windows XP Oracle Client unable to connect its Service PT853 with the Oracle Linux database server.

    My question is:

Can any folk tell me how to connect Oracle Client in Windows XP with the Oracle Linux database server?

    Very grateful in advance.

IP 192.168.196.102 is Linux. This means that oracle database Client in Windows XP may log into Oracle Database Server under Linux. Don't you think I'm not mistaken? If so, I'm very happy and very grateful to you.
