Webmail Sync with to desktop on Windows 7

Can I synchronize TB with webmail from my ISP telling me is a form of MS Exchange, somehow? My ISP says that this only works with mobile devices. I want to sync my TB desktop client. Exquilla would rise to the occasion? Thank you

If they do not offer IMAP access, it appears that they can offer accounts "Exchange ActiveSync", which is the version of Microsoft IMAP. TB doesn't support, but I think Windows Live Mail and Outlook, then it would probably be the only way to synchronize the e-mail on multiple devices, if you find inadequate POP configuration.

I don't know enough about the ExQuilla to say if it offers anything in this case.

Is there (and if not, I think that there should be) a list somewhere of whose books address e-mail clients can be synchronized with a palm Treo (palm Desktop 6.2 release)? I have fortunately use several palm handheld computers for about 6 years now and have been synchronization of AddressBook with Mozilla and Thunderbird now for the last few years. I currently have an m130, but it is time for a "smart phone" that I am a prioritization of all about two transport devices. Unfortunately, the Treo requires the 6.2 palm Desktop version that is not compatible with Thunderbird palm synchronization. I had the idea that Outlook (which I have never used or been exposed to) can be synchronized with the Palm, but something I read gave me the impression that I would need to buy third party software to make this happen, plus the $110 they want for Outlook. I'd like to think there are other choices for someone who simply wants to synchronize their smart phone with the address book of their e-mail client. It seems that this ability to sync would be essential to the turnover of palm and a list of all these possibilities of synchronization would be extremely beneficial for sales, including new sales to individuals are not already initiated on this kind of subject. The absence of possibility to synchronize with Thunderbird can cause just sticking with my old m130 awhile longer and give up the idea of a new nice smart phone.

Hello and welcome to the Community Forums of Palm.

I haven't looked lately at the T-Bird plugin for Palm Desktop synchronization... What do you use (apparently successfully)?

Also what version of Palm Desktop are you using currently?  And what version of Windows?

In short, unless your desktop is Windows Vista, there is no need to use Palm Desktop 6.2.2.  All new Palm OS Treo or Centro syncs with Palm Desktop 4.1.4E.  The only practical thing PD 6.2.2 is Vista compatibility... it works equally well on Windows XP, but there is no need to use it.

    Hope this helps your decision.

  • Smartphones blackBerry sync with Palm Desktop.

When I bought a "Bold" yesterday, AT & T, I asked the saleswoman if sync with Palm Desktop and if she would support Palm OS add-on.  I was told 'YES' at the same time to these two questions.  I tried to sync with Palm Desktop, without success.  Someone can explain to me how to synchronize with Plam Desktop and use Palm add, such as games and utilities?

    Thank you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not complete calendar Sync with BB Desktop Upgrade new

Completed the installation of BlackBerry Desktop Software Version 7.0.0.43.

Started the software and checked the settings to sync Organizer as indicated by the software.

    Starts synchronization.

Software began with obtaining State of the BlackBerry calendar information, then went to obtaining status of Outlook calendar information, and I think it's the reading of all records (several thousand) based on the record, but this version has them spend if fast, that I don't see the total amount before the next phase.

Software begins to read the records, then stops at the 346 folder, and an Error Message appears:

    Sync error

Save with the specified Id (FFFFC4DC) not found.

Organizer synchronization does not complete and the software will Add-Ins (if synchronize all had been chosen), othwise, it stops right and displays the window summary - data organizer - complete, as if he had actually finished all the steps correctly.

    What should I do?

    Thank you.

Well, I finally got back to normal by removing the BlackBerry Desktop Software updated and re - install version 6.1, which is available on the Web from BlackBerry site.

I'll wait until the next review came out a month before the upgrade again.

  • Problem with Skype desktop snap Windows 10.

First of all I want to clarify one thing: I don't speak of Aero Snap.
I want to talk about the automatic ability of Office Skype to align a corner of the screen when it is quite near the corner of the screen.
Given that Microsoft has made the invisible window borders in Windows 10 (without actually removing them), Desktop Skype seems very strange when broken. It always behaves as if the window border was visible and so we see a gap between the edge of the window of Skype and edge of the screen when Skype is engaged. I know this isn't a huge issue, but it would be still nice if you have patched this flaw on.

It seems that the latest version of Skype has solved this problem for most. Skype has now aligns with the edge of the screen of the Visual border, not the border entering. The only problem is that he throws still broken by the border entering, but you can break it then manually to the Visual border, which was not possible before.

  • Sony clie hot-sync with Palm desktop on Vista (32 bit)

I got my Clie TH-55(Palm OS 5.2.1) for some time now, say 2 years, but recently, I made the switch to Vista (not by choice, I got a new laptop for free). I had been synchronize my CLIÉ Palm Desktop and so when I got my new laptop, I went and download desktop 4.1.4e in the hopes that I could continue the sync on vista. The installation went well, it is, I can do a hot sync but none of my data transfers. If I create a new contact on my handheld, it will not be displayed on the desktop and even vice versa. When I check the hot sync log, it says that there are no errors. I didn't know if I should go to the forums of Palm or Clie forums so I apologize if this is no longer a Clie problem which should be in the forums of clie. Thanks in advance...

I found the problem, it had to do with the running of the Office to palm as an administrator. Once that I thought that was the problem, I put it to always run as administrator.

  • If I configure Windows XP for automatic logon, then I can't access with Remote Desktop in Windows 7.

I have Windows XP on my old computer and Windows 7 on my new.

I have my old computer with auto-logon installation as described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231, when it starts, it will automatically in Windows XP.

However, if I try to connect remotely from my new computer with Windows 7, I can I connect, but as soon as the old computer hangs on the spot, the automatic connect feature kicks in and the old computer connects again locally, actually expel the connection at a distance in a few seconds.

    Please notify. Thank you.

I think that this is normal, you cannot establish a remote desktop connection to a Windows XP computer when automatic login is enabled, I believe that this has been changed in Windows 7.

  • Networking a laptop 64 bit Windows 7 with a desktop computer Windows Vista 64-bit

I have a Dell desktop running 64-bit Windows Vista with a USB connected HP Photosmart printer operating system.  My wife used to have a laptop with an XP operating system and we have had no problem sharing the printer.  Now she has a laptop (HP) laptop to Windows 7 64 bit and fails to print.

His laptop is connected wireless to Verizon FIOS router (wireless-g, I think).  I am connected by ethernet.

If I look at a map of the comprehensive network of my Vista PC I can see his laptop and explore appropriate records of (public) level on his hard drive.   Sharing my Vista PC and are discovery options: network discovery:; File sharing:. Public folder sharing:; Printer sharing:; Password protected sharing: Off; The media sharing: Off.  My Vista shows the home network as a WORKING group.

I use McAfee SecurityCenter and when I open the McAfee network map it also shows my wife's cell phone with its IP address.

On my wife's cell phone two PCs appear on the map of the comprehensive network of the window and it shows my PC IPv4, IPv6 and MAC address, but if I try to 'Open' from my PC to the icon on the map, I get an error message suggesting I be spelled the name wrong or there is a network problem (error code 0 x 80070035 the network path was not found).  I ran the diagnostic of the error dialog box and he suggested to "make sure that the device allows incoming connections for printing and file sharing", the windows firewall settings.  Its network card qualifies to the network TPEN1, identity, assigned to the Verizon router. It shows his laptop connected by a dotted line (wireless)? to TPEN1 which is connected to a switch.  My PC is also connected to the switch which in turn is connected by a bridge to the Internet.  Options advanced sharing his PC for the home or work (current profile) are set on: turn on the discovery network. Enable file sharing and printing; Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in public folders;  Media streaming is disabled; Use 128-bit encryption to protect file sharing connections (recommended); Disable password protected sharing;  Use the user accounts and passwords to connect to other computers.

Its Norton Internet Security Network security map shows my PC as being in line with trust to full trust level.  It also shows the Swith and 2 generic devices with Shared Trust.

    So... anyone have any suggestions?

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

    - ---------------------

This message looks like a long history because I don't know what is the level of knowledge of the user, and what has already been done.

The info goes through the motions of the configuration and verify most of the common aspects of the functionality of Windows OS' LAN.

    ----------------------

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

For the best newspaper of the results of each computer screen system and together all computers on a network of the same name, while each computer has its own unique name.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_name.jpg

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

Since you have a network with Win 7 and the other version of Windows, you must configure Windows 7 as work network.

In the center of the network, by clicking on the type of network opens the window to the right.

Choose your network type. Note the check box at the bottom and check/uncheck depending on your needs.

    Win 7 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Networking-home-computers-running-different-versions-of-Windows

Win 7 network sharing folder specific work - http://www.onecomputerguy.com/windows7/windows7_sharing.htm

Vista file and printer sharing - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx

When you have finished the configuration of the system, it is recommended to restart everything the router and all computers involved.

    -------------

If necessary check specifically Permission/security settings.

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

This screen shot is to Win 7, Vista menus are similar.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/permission-security.jpg

The Security Panel and the authorization Panel, you need to highlight each user/group and consider that the authorization controls are verified correctly.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

Please note that the users and groups listed on the screen shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    ---------------------

You should consider that many times the final solution could involve total uninstall of the 3rd party security Suits.

In this case, you can be set at the same level with installing Microsoft Security Essentials which are used in the applications of a native Vista/Win 7 firewall and AntiVirus/AntiSpyware.

Until now I used Palm Desktop version 4.1, which seems to have "disappeared" from my PC. I was HotSync with my 72 s Zire. It seems that the latest version of Palm OS downloadable Desktop (excerpt from the HP site) is version 6.2.2. Does anyone know what to download this latest version on my PC, then I'll be able to download information from my 72 s Zire and continue in the future HotSync. Or, put in other words, Version 6.2.2 work with Zire 72 s? If not, can you tell me where to download the 4.1 version of?

I just did this last night, synchronize Palm with Outlook, then synchronize Outlook with Blackberry with all my categories intact in my BB.

You can also create new categories in your Outlook Express.

  • Problem with remote desktop in Windows 7 Home Premium

I have two laptops running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium.  I do a simple administration of a 2008 R2 remote server, for a friend and all of a sudden, remote desktop will not connect to the server on one of the laptops.

I checked all the settings, of course, and the problem is NLA.  I get the error message: requires NLA (Network Level Authentication) that your computer not only supports the remote computer that you are trying to connect to.

I thought it was strange that I never set the server to require NLA.  I know I should but anyway...  I checked that the server is in fact not the value require NLA, so this should not be preventing the connection.
Now, two laptops have DRC version 6.2.9200, but non-functioning LT said that NLA is not supported in the "information" window.  Two portable computers support Remote Desktop Protocol 8.0
Even if NLA is not required on the server, if it is set to the work of LT, why not at least try?  Even if it's just to eliminate a point of failure.  None of this is hard, right? Bad...
I went in the LT does not work to change the DRC to allow the NLA (System, remote control properties) However, there is nowhere where do...   There is an option to "Allow remote access" button and an "Advanced" button.  Under the "Advanced" button, there are two elements to control the limits of the use of remote assistance.  There is an option button to enable remote assistance and the other to set the amount of time that the remote computers can be connected.  Nothing to control NLA.   On the functioning LT, which has the same version of the DRC, IT IS A PLACE to CHANGE NLA.  I'm confused.  How the same version of DRC can have two different menus?
Just for fun, I tried even to DRC running in compatibility mode.  Nothing...
Is there a registry change that will allow me to activate it?  I do not always have access to the laptop works.  I need to bring both work.
