  I have a C6280 in my wireless network that worked perfectly with all my machines, Mac, Win XP and Win 7. I recently picked up a laptop Dell with Windows 8.1.  After going on the HP support site and download the new driver package, I installed it on the machine. During the installation process, after having chosen wireless, he went through the configuration, the printer, even showed but I could not put it up to print or even connect.   Interesting. I just re-downloaded the complete package of HP and went through the process of Setup again. This time, it worked perfectly and the printer was found and installed. Apparently the first couple tests Windows 8.1 was having a bad day of hair or something.

  delete and replace - do not just tight. On a laptop computer on all you can do is reinstall it
  memory and possibly check the connection/contacts on the hard drive. Memory could

  I have a C50 - A with Windows 8 Satellite and refused to the brightness of the screen down to the lowest setting by using the usual methods (Control Panel and the quick keys).

  Although it is on the lowest setting, it is still much too clear to me.
  I don't want a theme of different windows, just a reduction more luminosity.

  I could turn my old laptop much lower.

  Different types of views supports the properties of different brightness.

  I assume that you have already set the brightness to level 1 (22 32 nit) well, it's the level as low as possible

  T420 and T430 screens are the same. If you have a problem with motherboard or disk or memory, nobody's going to disassemble the cover just to see if you have replaced the screen, as long as you use not a display of poor quality as those reported as compatible on eBay. Many of those who are really brilliant, poor quality screens which have defects or dead pixels so that they wouldn't have Lenovo quality standards.

  I checked with your IMEI and I found rather a wakelock of the calendar that the screen being the issue. Can clear you cache and the calendar data in circles-->--> all apps? It will be synchronized again.

• Brightness fluctuates as the screen changes (watch movies or open windows for example)

  Ive a brand new HP Pavilion 15 and Ive noticed when I opened a window or the screen goes a dark to a light image (for example, while watching the video), brightness adjusts in increments of half the second.

  For example, with a background image dark, I opened a window, I see in the white area of the window, half a second after opening the brightness of "whiteness" is rather dull and increments of bleachers, it becomes clearer and brighter.

  It takes about 3-4 seconds for the light to continue to increase.  I also note, it is not just the window that shines upward, but the lighter areas of the background also brighten at the same pace.

  Its extremely irritating and I can't find the settings to this.  It feels as if the brightness is self-adjustment according to what is on my screen, but I can do myself with the brightness setting!
  I have tried this with the setting of brightness placed as high as possible and at various levels but still seem to get the same result.

  Any help would be appreciated.  Is it a hardware failure?

  If you have the Intel HD graphics card on your laptop, the GUI driver is probably the substitution of all the Windows settings you are trying to change.

  Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the start screen for Windows and search for 'Intel '. Under 'Settings' select "Intel HD Graphics" or Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel"(there are many ways to get to this setting). You can also right click on your desktop and select "Graphics properties", but make sure it has the "Intel" logo next to it.
  2. Once you are in the Intel graphic user interface, go to the power--> battery--> Turn OFF "Display Power Saving Technology." Depending on your driver version, this GUI can vary in appearance, but in the end, you are eager to find and disable "Display Power Saving Technology."
  3. You won't see a difference to what you click on 'Apply', how you will probably notice your screen brighten. It will ask you to confirm. That should solve.

  (I can't take credit for this fix. The nice people at EightForums.com posted a nice tutorial here, but if you're like me, you have tried everything that does not. It is the last step of the tutorial (described above) that it resolved for me. Someone should really sticky this issue as it has been updated a few times in these forums.

  OK, so I just did the part of boot camp to install Windows to OS X, after selecting the amount of data you want to use Windows and how many Mac. He partitioned something before resuming, and I got a black screen. I waited, but it did not go far, so I looked at this topic and saw that someone had this problem during startup in Windows once. They said that the brightness was completely down, so that they shone with a light on it and made this way. I tried this, and of course, the selection of the language and the country by selecting the thing was there. I could just do it this way, but the thing is, I left my small window slider, and now I can't find my cursor anywhere. I just started using the Enter key to select the entire document, but I just got under the terms of the agreement thing, and I actually have to click the little box. Does anyone have a solution for this? Anyway to make the screen brighter? Please quick help!

• Authentication proxy issues... How IE/Windows handles basic authentication?

  Then... got one the other day, I've not seen before.  Multi-instance, load-balanced ISA environment experiences issues where several services need to be restarted.  Everything is fine, everything is in line with service series restarts a duration of 3 to 5 minutes.

  On a population of end-user well into the tens of thousands, a handful of users under Windows XP, IE v6 to v8, running, start randomly to a login and a password to authenticate to the proxy server.  Authentication is done via AD, of course, but without credentials are accepted.  Usually, if the end user just keeps hitting cancel, their web site is in place.  This occurs sporadically and intermittently throughout the day, however, and we are talking about a handful of users (for example, less than 100 of 50,000).  There is no evidence in ISA logs or logs of the OS.  The fix?  Restart the OS (XP) client.

  We have examined the NTLM issues, IE version problems (couple had even IE6)... nothing seemed to be a compelling evidence on this one.  I have not found any similar discussions, KB articles, etc. so I'm a bit puzzled.

  Does anyone know what either side client that could cause this?  Something unique about the way in which IE/XP manages to a proxy basic authentication...?

When I press these keys, it shows the slider to adjust the brightness on the top left corner of the screen but its not the brightness level from low to high.   Looks like you're trying to "Adjust the screen brightness in Windows 8.1" for your laptop.

  We will surely help you with that.

  Please perform this step as indicated below to solve the problem:

  1. go to search (at the top right point) and type Device Manager.  Go.

  2. expand graphic cards

  3. right click on Intel(r) HD Graphics and click on disable

  4 restart your computer

  Note: Your screen resolution can be deformed now, you can simply ignore

  5. turn the Manager of peripherals, graphics cards

  6. right click on Intel(r) HD Graphics and click Enable

  7 restart once again

  Note: If at any time your screen goes off and won't come back, just HOLD down your power button until the

  the computer shuts down.  Then press power to restart the upward

• known issues with the utilities for the Windows 7 upgrade Lenovo

  I have a Lenovo T61 Thinkpad with Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 32-bit operating system. I have currently only about 1 GB of space on my hard drive Go 67.9. I wanted to get rid of Vista and switch on to 7 but currently I don't have enough hard disk space to do (I need at least 16 GB of free space).  I decided to buy a second hard drive and do a clean install of 7 so I hope I have less problems in the long term.

  My concern is that I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor report, and he knew questions about utilities of Lenovo, ThinkPad EasyEject Utility and system update. On the Lenovo support Web site, it says that "you can upgrade to Windows 7 without uninstalling these applications, but you may experience problems when their running on Windows 7." When I looked for another application that supports Windows 7, as advised, I found that there are none for 3 known issues of as the cause of the problem is a «limitation of Windows 7» So what the devil? I hate Vista but I do not want to install 7 and then not be able to use my computer properly.

  I'm sure many users Lenovo went from Vista to 7... can anyone give advice on what to if wait if I simply ignore these known issues?
