  Well, the main thing that will slow down your game is going to be your graphics card.  And the best way to reduce the amount of lag your graphics are originally is to decrease your screen resolution.  Whenever your screen resolution is increased, you increase the resources they use and ALL other effects.  So that the lower your resolution, plus your interpretation will become.
