What can I do when Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller is not compatible with Windows 7?

I have a gateway C - 140 X for a good 2 years and I find always the best of the class. The current version is Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.  The upgrade path should be got Windows 7 Ultimate, which, incidentally, should some sort of reduction but I understand he must make an economic profit.

I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta .

Report all gave his go-ahead, but one Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller by Texas Instruments Inc. device is not compatible with Windows 7. So I can't upgrade once the device is compatible.

The obvious answer is to consult the website of the manufacturer of Texas Instruments or gateway OEM.
The gateway OEM does not help because it has stopped supporting once he sold to MPC, which then went bankrupt while the drivers are available on the gateway site to download only for Windows Vista.
Looking at the site of Texas Instrument is a maze leading to difficulty finding support on the device in question. I'll try to contact the support from them, but what do I do? I mean the device is able to run Vista and other Texas Instruments products are compatible but just the card reader.

If you tell me to new contact the third party or the manufacturer's website, then I ask that you give me the link to the support or the driver.

I tried to control the Windows 7 Compatibility Center , but it is not upward.

I got it.

After the upgrade from 32-bit Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit of Windows 7 Ultimate that required me to do a clean install. I prefer clean install because it is sure that everything works. Yet once I was pounded by an unmanned aircraft. In the hardware Manager, he has been shown as a mass storage controller. I forgot my card reader and more worried about trying to get the driver for the mass storage controller because it seemed important to something. Then I let down, but after a few days, I looked around the same instance in the forums which turns out be my card reader. I went back to the drivers from the website of the gateway for card reader Driver .

I just installed the Vista driver and now it works. Everything on my computer now works with Windows 7 64 bit by going to manufacturers for devices. Broadcom Bluetooth.
Wired and wireless from Intel.
Mass of Intel storage.
The rest was from Windows Update, check all out them.

The only thing I feel crazy is that send to Onenote 2007 is not compatible with 64 bit OS and the strength to wait for the next version of Office for it to work.

    Hello

If it is a built-in device, the best place to get the drivers would be Sony.

Go to the following site, enter the model number of the Vaio and click on continue. This takes you to the page where you can download the drivers for all the devices installed.

  • I'm trying to find/reinstall Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller. Mine does not work.

How and where can I find an update or replacement of the Flashmedia controller? (there is a yellow question mark by the icon in the Device Manager). In the Device Manager (just above), he said I have also no video controller (once again the yellow question mark) so I guess I should find a way to fix first. Now the videos play in a video with audio stuttering jerky. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Both pis but thanks anyway. I saw in another thread that I needed to get them at Toshiba and it couldn't have been easier and it couldn't worked no better. YAy! and thanks again.

    Hello

always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx

If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe, and then selecting run as administrator

It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode

This does not work for all programs

  • Word Perfect is not compatible with Windows 7. What can I use instead?

    WordPerfect or treatment.

I've recently updated my computer to windows 7. I used to have the perfect word, but it is not compatible with this new set up. How can I go on writing documents or summaries. Do I have to buy a new cd to upgrade from word perfect or is there a way I can write documents with this version of windows 7?

    You have a few options:

You can use the built in word processor called Word Page (start > all programs > Accessories > Word Pad). It is pretty basic and does offer all of the features of a professional processing.

You can download a free office suite that includes a treatment called Writer (free agency)

  • What to do if the computer is not compatible with windows 7

I have a computer that has lost the ability to use Windows XP by notice on my screen.  When I ran to the compatibiliy Windows 7 audit, the computer is not being upgraded to be compatible with windows 7.  What are my options?  I can't get a new computer.  How can I make my Windows XP operating system works?

To repeat one of my previous questions, what was the view of your receipt of no longer being able to use Windows XP?

And what if you can recall, happened to the computer just before you started to have this opinion?

Normally, except in the case of substantial changes to the hardware, once Windows XP has been activated - as it was to the company - she should stay enabled.

If the computer is connected to the company network, there may be questions to use as a stand-alone computer (which can be fixed).  In addition, there is a body of thought that holds that any used computer should have re-installed Windows.  A computer company, however, is much less likely to have "bad things" about it as previously used by an individual.

The reason that many new computers is coming with OS CD is that Microsoft gives the leading manufacturers (the so-called "Direct OEMS") the opportunity to provide a built-in method to restore the computer to its State 'cost-of-the-factory' rather than provide the CD of the OS.  See How to restore or reinstall Microsoft Windows on a Dell computer.

It is possible, however, that the it Department of the company that has purchased the computer completely erased from the hard drive and loaded a company custom 'image' right under Windows XP and applications that the company wanted to have on its computers.  If this is the case, you can be out of luck unless you can go back to the COMPUTER service company and ask for their help.

Finally, it is possible that you may be able to get a set of backup from Dell disks: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/en/backupcd_form?c=us&l=en&s=gen&redirect=1

  • Windows 95 version of Print Shop Deluxe is not compatible with Windows 7. If anyone can solve this?

    . Windows 7 64 bit printing problem

I used the Windows 95 version of the Print Shop Deluxe on XP for years without problems, but now I just got a new laptop running Windows 7 (64 bit) and the CD will not download. Dialog box shows is not compatible. Anyone has any ideas, the update to download this CD please?

Its unlikely that the PrintShop version designed for Windows 95 uses some 16-bit code that is not compatible with 64 bit versions of Windows 7.

    * I just did a full factory restore, which helped.

but when I reinstalled the operating system, it wouldn't let me put in the same primary place on drive C?

I had to put it in a secondary partition and it saved a lot of old stuff and labeled "old windows"?

I do not understand why it does this. is there something in the old system files I need?

cause the entire purpose of the restoration was to get rid of all that. now, I have essentially 2 copies taking up room.

because he saved much of the old system files, there's no enough space in the main square.

Do you think I can manually remove the "old windows" copy C drive without doing any harm to the computer?

I did enter and delete all of the photos and docs & downloads which he recorded, that I didn't, with no negative consequences.

but it still has a lot of program/file system I fear not remove.i shouldn't need them... right?

everything I need should be there since the operating system reinstalled, I just did?

    Help?

    Marc Zanyk

By all means delete the windows.old folder.  Use disk cleanup.  You will find a box to check the detached, although it will not be called "windows.old" specifically.

It seems that your computer has a recovery partition.  You would not be able to install.

As for Home Premium, Yes, you can switch to HP.  If you can still find a copy.  Vista Express upgrade is no longer available since Vista is no longer available at a retailer.  However, you can find a copy on eBay.  Make sure you buy a retail copy and not an OEM copy.  You will not be able to update an OEM copy.  No matter if the copy of detail you find is a copy of full or upgrade license.  You'd still be able to do an upgrade in place with one or the other.
