What events trigger service requests?
Hello
I know that CHS has algorithms to assess the communications between the sophisticated devices but, is there an easy solution for a customer who asks what events trigger Service requests?
Kind regards
Gabriel Tlalpachicatl
Hello Gabriel,
Under the technical means of CHS, there is a "Smart Call Home monitoring details" document. This provides specific details for each diagnosis, environment and alarm of syslog by device. It must also offer if an SR would be open.

Catch the event Web Service Session Timeout
Hi all
I have a LV Web Service communicate to a web client (Chrome, IE, FF, etc.). The user connects to the server and create a new session for him to help create Session VI. One of the entrances to this function is a timeout value (default 60000ms). The sessions behavior is such that if the user does not activate an application for web service (GET/POST/PUT/etc) within the time limit, then the session is automatically destroyed by the web service. That's what I want, it's fantastic.
My question is How can I detect when the session timeout happens? Another way to say, How can I detect when the user session is automatically destroyed?
What I tried:
- Of course, I can provide a "logout" link to the user calling ultimately "Destroy Session" VI, but I can't count on the user actually click this link (e.g. you really explicitly sign out of gmail or simply close your web browser?)
- I thought that the only way to proceed would be to save the cookie of session ID returned by create Session VI and then query this ID to see if the session still exists (check if Session exists VI). If the session does not exist, well, I know it has expired or the user manually destroyed it. However, even if I save the cookie ID, I don't see where I can actually use it any where (especially not check if Session is VI). It just seems no value given to the range of sessions.
Is this possible?
Thank you
Rory
Sorry, Thomas, but that isn't going to work. Think about it - you do not request a web service during the time-out period. You get ONLY a web service request when the client actually asked something. The customer does not have during a timeout; It's just times out... so, there is no node on the block diagram to check because there is no block diagram... get it?
No worries, however, I found the solution [read: workaround], even if the LV can do it (from 2013sp1).
The best way to detect if a user session times out / out times would be for LV to this exhibit as an event in the web service. The following approach would be for LV accepts a cookie as an entry ID and then provides information on this session (i.e. the session exists). I have a smell of two feature requests...
But because BT cannot do these things (or not exposed to the developer), you will need to get creative on the client side. Since I'm on Javascript/jQuery/AJAX on my front end, then it is possible for me to detect when the customer leaves the page or close the browser. It comes to $(window) .unload () in jQuery. Then, I can take this event and an asynchronous AJAX command of fire to one of my web service VI that will eventually call the "destroy Session" VI.
For more information see the site here:
http://lavag.org/topic/18490-catch-session-timeout-events-in-LV-Web-service/
Hope this helps someone.

I am unable to connect to my network wireless with my laptop Sony, (Vista home premium). This follows an infection in my desktop PC with a Trojan which did not stop, but slow internet browsing. I reinstalled vista windows on the pc and it works fine now bur my still gives mobile me this message. "Unable to connect to a Windows Service. Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification service. This problem prevents limited users to logon to the system. As an administrator, you can view the system event log to see why the service did not respond. "I am the administrator on my pc and laptop. I tried to change the user nothing helps. I use Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1. Intel Core 2Duo T7250 2 GHz. 2 GB of RAM. 32-bit. Sony Vaio FZ31M. If you can give me instructions on how to remedy the situation, it would be appreciated. Thank you, Tony
Hi 1234Tony,
First of all, I suggest you that you also scan your laptop for infection by the virus. Second, reset TCP/IP stack Winsock settings. This could correct mistakes involving internet connectivity as a result of problems of installation of network software, due to a virus, trojan or malware infection or even due to disinfection of spyware security software.
To repair and put back the Windows Vista
- Click the Start button.
- Type Cmd in start it the search text box.
- Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run command as administrator prompt. Allow elevation request.
- Type netsh winsock reset in the command line shell, and then press the Enter key.
- Restart the computer
If please reply and let us know if your problem is resolved or if you need further assistance

System event notification services error
A couple of weeks, I started getting a message at startup in VISTA. The message appears in the lower right. It is said:
Unable to connect to a windows service. Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Services service. This problem prevents the limited number of users logging on to the system. As an administrator user, you can view the system event log to see why the service failed. But couldn't find anything; where should I look?Linda Schillemore,
To open Event Viewer for more details on this error do the following:
Click the Start button. In the Search box, type Event Viewer, and then in the list of results, double-click Event Viewer.
To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
- Click Startand type cmd in the box start the search .
- Right-click cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue
- To order invites, the following line and press ENTER: sfc/scannow
When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.
If this does not resolve the problem, you can use the System Restore tool. Using this tool, you can restore the computer to an earlier point in time.
The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time where you have not experienced the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
- Click Start, type System Restore in the Search box, and then click System Restore in the list of programs . If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue.
- In the System Restore dialog box, click choose a different restore point, and then click Next.
- In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
- Click Finish.
The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.
Let us know your result, thank you.

Event Viewer service is missing from the Administrative Tools Services
I have a problem with the right click on my C: drive in the browser to access the Properties submenu. The computer freezes and I have to use the Task Manager to restart windows Explorer. I can click rt any other file in Explorer without problem. I tried to check the event viewer to see if I could find a clue to what is wrong, but I found that the event viewer service is not yet present in respect of the services. I get this error under custom views/administrative events: "Event Viewer cannot open the event log or custom view to verify that the event log service is running the specified query is invalid 15001" two events may be related to I don't know. . I tried Shellextensionview but that has not helped the blocking problem. The computer is fully patched with NIS 2011.running. Scan of Malwarebytes does not show anything. Can you help me? Thank you

What event will be triggered when you use your finger to scroll the screen?
I want to do the scrolling list, now I can do this by using the mouse to drag, but how do I apply it by using your finger to scroll?
The question is that I don't know when you use your finger to scroll the screen, what event will trigger?
Please help me if there is no solution?
You can use the same code as the mouse. Mouse events are also triggered when you use a finger on a touch screen. However, if you want more features, for, etc. example pinching to the zoom, you'll have to watch the TouchEvent class.

What event filter is triggered after UPDATE_DOCINFO / CHECKIN_NEW
Hi all
Can what event filter I use for performing transactions after the database update.
I tried postIndexingStep, but it doesn't seem to cover all update operations.
You can find yourself - see Intradoc Services Tutorial (page 25 of esp.)
If you select services in the server-wide tracing, run the scenario of GUI, you will find them listed.

Contact->; Service request - show only the SRs that belong to the user
Hello
Here's the scenario:
User has access to all Contacts and can see did not have SRs.
The role of user - can read all records = YES
Profile of user access
Contact - Readonly
Related information under the Contact section:
Service request - View (inherit primary does not appear in the drop-down menu)
When I login, I am able to see all the Contacts (directed by role play) and also all SRs associated with this Contact.
Problem: Only SRs belonging to the logged in user should appear. SR the other user should not be visible under the contact.
I've seen examples of the use of ' inherit primary. " This option is not available.
How to get this functionality? (Contact - read all records and associated Contact SNS should show only users registered in SRs)Here's a way to do this:
-Instead of the Service request related information on the Contact details Page, create a Web Applet, and incorporate a report that resembles the Section Service request information.
-Filter this report with a session variable, connection name and use this login name to filter the corresponding column on the report. On the report, add a link to action on the SR # so agents can pierce the ther SR detail page and update etc...This way the user will see only those SR what he or she has.

in error place vCloud Director TNS:listener is not currently of service requested in connect
I thought I would start my own thread on this...
I have trashed my original oracle installation - and did it again. But have the same problem...
I installed oracle just accept all the default values. So, things like the name of the oracle is orcl and so on...
I also followed to the letter the instructions in the installation and here - guide http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1025768 which are substantially the same.
Here's what I entered the configuration of configuration vCloud Director:
Enter the host (or IP address) to the database: orcl10g.corp.com
Using the default "1521" for the port.
Enter the name of the service of database :
Using the default "orcl" database service name.
Enter the database user name: vclouduser
Enter the database password:
Connection to the database: jdbc:oracle:thin:@orcl10g.corp.com:1521/orcl
And that's what pays my log file...

It seems that the name of your service is actually orcl.localdomain. It is perhaps that the remote connection has no need of the domain name, but a local connection only.
