• What happened to 'History' in file open in Acrobat 10?

  Buy Acrobat 10.  9 from Adobe, I ejoyed the 'History' function in the file/open box.  I can't remember the name of the file, but, for example, knew that I had opened it in the last 7 days, or last day or last month.  Thus, allow someone to see 'history' or open documents in the past including period of history has been very useful.  Do not see it in Acrobat 10.  I'm having a problem that had me at Tech level 2 and they are now put at degree level technician.  But, I asked Sir check to see "what happened" to "history".  When he called back as planned in the week (very nice to work with), he told me that Adobe has simply REMOVED the ability of history in the part 'open files' program.  I guess he told me is true.  But, if anyone knows otherwise, I would have the knowledge of how to find and use 'history' in the manner described.  And why in the world woould remove such a useful tool?

  I installed Firefox on Windows XP 3.6.16. The buttons that used to be at the top of the browser that says 'file' 'view' 'tools', 'help' disappeared. By pressing the 'alt' key does nothing. Same thing happened when downloading Firefox 4.

  There is not a lot I can do with this browser, if I can't access a basic button as 'tools '. Any help would be appreciated.

  • In versions of Firefox 3.6 on Windows and Firefox 4 on Windows and Linux, it is possible to hide the "menu bar" by "view > toolbars" or via the context menu of a toolbar.
  • Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily.
  • Go on "view > toolbars" or right-click the 'menu bar', or press Alt + V T to select the toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to switch from the State).

• The file/edit/view/history/Tools/Help taskbar buttons and the back/refresh/and home used be in the upper left corner of the screen are no longer there. I want them back

  Versions of Firefox 3.6 + have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

  Press the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open view > toolbars and select menu bar, so it has a check mark.
  
  The F10 can also be used on most PCs to temporarily reveal the menu bar.

  You are fading to black, white, transparent?  Depending on what you are erasing, it is easy to invert the colors accidentally and it will look like gum does not work...

  I have solved the problem myself. I will describe what happened in hopes to help others in a similar situation.

  Some time ago the logo on my adobe pdf files suddenly changed in Firefoxes logo. MorZilla Firefox was my browser, and I could always open files, so I don't ask much about it.

  Then, a few weeks later, the Firefox logo disappeared too, and I was no longer able to open the files. Panic, panic. I tried several ways to access my files. In the end I managed to open it using my Adobe account - but I still could not save it and the logo was still missing.

  Anyway, now I knew for sure that the files were intact, but it is still difficult to get to them.

  Tonight, I uninstalled the Firefox browser - and it certainly helped! I opened the first file with the help of the Windows program opener. I chose Adobe - and suddenly all my pdf.files appeared on the screen, now with the original logo!

  All my wrong of course my draw the conclusion, that Firefox was the problem: 0)
