What is a good second iMac monitor 4 k

Hi all

I just upgraded iMac iMac 2011 2015 4 k, my second screen worked fine on older iMac on my new iMac, the display is tense, I'm on love at first sight to VGA btw. but my second monitor has dvi, my question is there a software that would allow me to correct the reference to my monitor? or a terminal to correct command cela, or do I need to update just my monitor, I'm looking for downs in the middle - end, but perhaps one that rotates 90 degrees. If anyone has suggestions on software, order, or a monitor they use or the card minimum resolution that I could use as an additional screen would be greatly appreciated. I didn't need high range I just want one like an additional screen because I often have several pages open at the same time.

Hello 3noa,

Thanks for this info and congratulations on your new iMac. I don't know how important using a second monitor with your new iMac, I personally use multiple monitors as well!

If I understand correctly, you have a problem with the external display research stretched when it is connected via a VGA adapter to your new iMac, when he worked with your old iMac. You can use the steps in this link to set the resolution of the screen connected to a good size.

OS X El Capitan: set the resolution of your screen

Cheers and thank you for using communities Support from Apple.

What is the HP Digital Imaging Monitor? Apply to my operating system, Windows 7? I want to remove the icon from the task bar (toolbar in the lower right corner of the screen) that I never use it.

Picardjc wrote that "Digital imaging monitor is part of the HP software that communicates with your HP printer. This program allows to read the inklevels, get an out of paper message, scan from the device to the computer and so on. It is not necessary, but it will restrict the use of printers if you delete. "Understood. But for my printer HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809a, what is the purpose of having the digital imaging monitor icon in the taskbar Windows7 sp1 of the Notification area (aka system tray)? My A809a is NOT an all-in-one that includes a scanner; It is simply a very good printer. When I start to print something, if you need ink or paper, that information is displayed on the screen of my computer. So I ask again: why is the icon of monitor digital imaging on the taskbar? I clicked on at the time of this icon (I not print anything, but as usual, the printer is turned on), and nothing happened. R.N. (Roger) Folsom _ P.S. below I'll post some other discussions (with links to their locations) of the digital imaging monitor, I discovered before finding this site on which I am writing. There are a variety of opinions on what makes the digital imaging monitor. HP Digital Imaging Monitor is for HP director system tray access. This is necessary if you want to use the buttons of all-in-one on a HP printer all in one to scan documents or transfer photos from a camera manually. Closing the icon monitor HP digital imaging in the Windows system tray can cause the HP all-in-one to lose part of its scanning features and not the connection error message. In this case, you can restore all functionality by restarting the computer or by starting the HP digital imaging monitor. [Edited] 03/08/2011 14:05 - edited? 03/08/2011 14:08 Yes, it is safe to remove. In my view, it is usually in the program group under start / all programs / startup. Simply navigate under the Start button, right-click on it and delete! If it is not there, then remove it from the registry: run regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete it from the list in the right pane. If she is not there, then try hkey_current_user\\software\\microsoft\\windows\\currentversion\\run it's better than using msconfig and uncheck it. In my opinion, msconfig must always be set to Normal startup. Your printer will always print without that annoying obstructive utility called Digital Imaging Monitor. Ciao! • Connect the second VGA monitor to Pavilion HPE

    Hello

I have a Pavilion HPE h8-1114 PC, that has a DVI and HDMI monitor port. I have a VGA monitor connected to the DVI port with an adapter. I have a second VGA monitor, I want to connect, but I understand that it cannot be connected to the HDMI port. Are there other options besides buying a HDMI monitor? Can I use one of the covered ports which I think is VGA? (I guess not.) Can I add a second graphics card with a VGA port and use both screens? (I saw on another post that adding another graphics card could disable the existing card). Can I opt for a card that supports two VGA or DVI ports?

    Thank you!

In addition what erico said, there are other options. You can use a video-to-USB adapter of EVGA UV plus + 19 or you can add a x 1 PCIe graphics card. If with a PCIe x 1, using a card Nvidia... results will be the best in this way.

  • What is a good DVD Ripper?

Didn't know where to post this question...

In any case, what is a good DVD ripper software?

I have some movies on DVD (with menus, etc.), which are non-commercial unprotected DVD.  I have full right to get video off them.

They are actually in my storage in the form of ISO images.

Right now I use the free version of WinX DVD Ripper.  I'm willing to pay for something better.

The two most widely recommended are Handbrake (free) and MPEG Streamclip (free, but also requires the reading QT component, which Apple sells more).

  • What is a good replacement for Photos for Mac

I got my photos sorted by year and month in iPhoto, app Photos The destroyed that.  What is a good replacement for Photos for Mac I had digital pictures in 1999.  It will take me months to recover.  So what is a good replacement, needless organized storage edition, just logical.   Is there a product that I can export Photos to the?   The Photos application is too slow and freezes; It's just all around a mediocre product.

Migrating from iPHoto to Photos doesn't "destroy" anything - it keeps your albums events and converted into albums - pictures 2.0 vs iPhoto 9.6.1: features and capabilities - how many Photos handles content and metadata for iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

and of course iPhotos 9.6.1 still works very well - if you do not keep your system up to date see can't update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store

You can export Photos in keeping the Organization of moments - you can export iPhotos keeping the exporting from iPhoto event organization

As to products - it's your choice - you can use the finder to organize into folders and preview to display pictures - or you can use one of the many programs available ranging from the free to the very expensive

I use Photos so am not upward on the different options and I suspect most of the volunteers here are the same and the answer is going to be personal anyway - no one but yo can do

  • Looking good 4 k monitor for end of 2013 Mac Pro

I just ordered and received the LG 4 k monitors but when comparing them with the Apple thunderbolt display monitor they were still close in brightness or color rendering. They had an orange very little the cast to them. They were the 31MU97C-B models and I could not find any reviews on them. They were actually newer and cheaper than the model 31MU97 (without the C - B).

So I sent them back. They were only 900 each, shipped. Is there anyone in the sound of my voice who can tell me a good 4 k monitor about the same price comparable to the Thunderbolt display, but in 4K? I've searched high and low.

    Thanks in advance

    James

Take a look at BenQ monitors. I use a pair of 24 '' those on my Mac Pro 12-core gaming and they are great. I got them to Fry. mine are not K 4s, but you could do a search and check BenQ 4 K specifications and perhaps find a store with some on display to check. Mine give identical color between the 2, so their QC is decent. (I got a pair of ViewSonics never able to calibrate to match!) They make the ViewsSonics (attached to my older PowerMac G5 and sat next to my Mac pro) look really weak and pale on the best settings of ViewSonic.

http://4k.com/monitor/a-review-of-the-benq-bl3201ph-32-ips-led-4k-monitor-with-3 2-led-lit-screen inches / is a review on the BenQ 32 "4K that Amazon sells for slightly less than $900. Be sure to watch the 3201PH against the PT. 3210 (who sell the FRY and even Wal-Mart) I don't think that the PT would be like good video. (he does not mention 4K on his form and sells for hundreds less.)

  • What DVDs are "good quality"? I have

Hello.  I am about to create recovery disks for my new laptop (HDX 16 t) and the brochure says "you need CD - r high quality (even if they don't recommend because they hold no CD), DVD-r, DVD-r double layer or + r... TC"with a set of recovery disks can be created by computer, I think it should I use what they consider 'good quality' but I have not the slightest idea what it is.  I understand the DL will hold twice as much (and), so I think I'll buy a couple of people.  I have 100 pins pack of the cheapies like TDK, Sony and Memorex (4.7 GB), but I have a feeling that it may not be 'good quality '.  Can anyone give me some suggestions?  Thank you.  Nancy

  • What is a good gaming site?

What is a good site that let's you download free games, no ads and no torrent. I'm also looking for good suggestions, 2D platform game games.

    Thank you.

Steam has a number of games "Free to Play". 21 single player mode, but I've not bothered with them so don't know if they are good or not.
EA has a 'Free to Play' section. I them have not tried either (lower limit of download here in Oz).
I have a game - Mario Forever, you should be able to download from horizontal scrolling
somewhere (mine from a disk magazine).

Many sites that claim to be free let alone you play for free for a limited time, you give a demo version or will charge you different DLC that you will need to advance in the game.
In other words - "Play for Free" = marketing hype.
He money of cost to operate a site, or online, server, so if you can get decent playable games with just advertising I think this is what you can expect.

If you're willing to pay, say $2-5 USD for a trial of game good old games. They have a lot of classics
    (much more for $10).
    http://www.Gog.com

Platform games is not real currents on PC, but I bought the collection of the Oddworld Oddysee (four matches) Abe earlier on a sale of steam for about $8. I also bought Rayman Origins of steam on one of their periodic sales recently for a similar amount (don't remember exactly).
