• What I gain / lose from Expression Media to Lightroom

  I use products Microsoft in general for years and as part of what I'm asking here, following Expression since Version 1. Expression Design does not anywhere near Photoshop CS5, which I just bought, but also as an editing program I need a decent asset management product. For the moment, I use Expression Media mainly to catalogue my photos, but also to use the HTML export feature to create quick slide shows for the web. Microsoft did not update Media since version 2 (not that this is a problem in itself), but also sold in Phase One, who have not yet said what they will do with it.

  My questions are, Lightroom provide the functionality the same or better as Media did as a tool for asset management (since Adobe seem to at least continue to develop the programme), and what else I gain from it. It's not a huge investment at £200, but I would not think I can spend it for no real benefit.

Expression Media (the old iView) is a dedicated media manager and can handle all types of files - raw files, other image as JPEG, music, Word and Excel formats, PDF etc. etc. Lightroom is not "first a Media Manager ' in every sense. It's a combination of an asset with the processing Manager and the adjustment features, and his management ability is limited to only the main image formats and video.

  As before everything worked without it. I have not found all the parameters or key combinations to change this.

  After some internet research, I discovered that I can change this using the Toshiba system settings using the keyboard option. When I did I only got the 'general' tab in the program to the left and he said I should install utility password of Toshiba which I did, but didn't change anything.

To get the AVT camera to display the color, I had to install the files of MAX camera using the Bayer color tab because Bayer settings are not accessible from the driver on the CVS IMAQ. I'm no adjustment of the camera of the VBAI. This configuration works well and has worked for 6 months on the machine of production without any problem.

  Now, I need to edit the VBAI script but can't stop the machine to make the changes and test the program. I captured images bitmap using MAX during the inspection was installed 6 months ago and they stored on my host for just such an occasion. I am using these captured images and the CVS emulator in VBAI to make the changes to the program offline. I performed the inspection under the CVS emulator and the acquisition stage is configured to point to the captured bitmap images using the button Configure Simulation settings. The problem I have is that bitmaps are displayed as black & white in the emulator, even if these are images of color seen with paint. I can't find a way to fix this.   The stages of acquisition camera record video mode information used to acquire images. If you use these steps in emulation mode, it converts the type size and the image to match what has been gained for calibration and processing step use the same type of image. In the short term, you can disable the acquisition stage (don't delete so you do not lose the camera settings saved in step) and use a stage of acquisition of simulation or a new phase in the acquisition of 1394 and won't force the image size/type.

• New Sansa Clip + not showing the track titles

  I recently got a new Sansa Clip + as a Christmas gift to replace my old (his helmet came out). I've updated to the latest firmware (even my old 01.02.18A,), and I copied my entire library of music from the old to the new player. Everything plays and works in the same way, except for one thing: on the new drive, the song titles never see the place, and the name of the file is always displayed during playback of a song. My old player would show the title of the song of the metadata instead of the file name during playback if it was available. I checked that the titles are actually there and were not lost through some freak mishap copy, so I'm puzzled as to why it won't work as my old drive.

  Well, Yes, that is my point of view. All tags are there, and all the rest (album, artist, etc.) is displayed in the main screen of the reading and the news section of track except for the title (who, oddly, has never had a track in any case information entry, but that is not the issue).

  Hi all, I currently have the kind of trouble with the help of my new sansa 8 GB.

  First time when I got the stuff out of the box everything was fine, don't remember exactly the version of the firmware, but the device worked well. I've updated the firmware this weekend the last known (so the version before the current new with replay gain blablabla). everything went well 2-3 days before when I turned on it yesterday, I don't have any job of lighting (but I can barely see that display is working. and then from time to time, I have backlight working for 5-10 sec and then leave...

  Last night I don't know how I did, but after reset several times (I have not yet counted it...), the backlight is back to normal and the screen seems to work well, except that the brightness setting do not seem to want to work more. I explain to me, regardless of the setting you put for the brightness, the brightness of the screen seems to stay on top, even if the setting is set to low.

  For more information the latest forimware does not resolve the issue.

  ESX35, what is the gain in speed if I attribute more than 1 NIC to a vSwitch?  I have a vSwitch with 3 active adapters 100 MB and 1 adapter ensures 100 MB.  This means that the vSwitch can talk to a switch physical gigabit high-speed 300 MB?  I copied a 10 GB from a physical PC to a virtual machine, but do not see a difference between a 3 adapter vswitch and a vSwitch 1 adapter.
