I works primarily with Manga Studio, then Paint Tool SAI, then as a tool the latter text/bubble won't personalize it the way I want, and this last just isn't a text tool in the current versions, I do my lettering and bubbles in Photoshop. (Rectangle tool with a rounded edge, then pen tool to make ponytails. Rectangular bubbles take less space than round ones, which means less fighting where everything is placed).

  The Snow Leopard is one of the more stable OS Ive ever used, but you won't have a lot of features.  Mavericks is in the Middle, has more features and is always quite stable. I would, however, try to reinstall El Capitan, or deleting some files to free up space.
