  Several clues:

  1. HARD and SATA drive in the message... On the way SATA HARD drive

  I would like to start keep good clones (CarbonCopyClone, bombich.com, $40) for external drives or backups Time Machine.  Any backup of the drive, not just your favorite parts.  Perform backups on a schedule without fail IMHO.

  You can also start to consider a SSD at macsales.com (their mercury collection is highly recommended) or a new HARD disk, at least start planning if the SSD cost is worth the benefit of speed on the HARD drive.  You can buy it later.

  Just my paranoid approach to this situation.

  It is the indicator LED for the IR (infrared receiver) for the remote control.   He indicates that he thinks he gets a signal from the remote control.   Take the remote control, press volume / down - you should see it blinking.   If it flashes solo - with nothing else around - there is probably a source of IR in your area that is triggering.   Trying to hide something and look at it as much as you can - see if the frequency has declined.   If not - it will take can be worked (either one - or do as the car talk guys recommend for dashboard lights - try to use black on tape ;-)

  In WinMail go to tools | Accounts | Mail and check if the other account is there.  If so remove it and make sure you have the correct account as default.  Then go to control panel | Default programs | Associate a type of file or Protocol with a program and a page down to protocols and are looking for the Mailto and set default Winmail.

  If it does not help, then you should explain what you mean by "opens someone to another email address.

  The simple solution is:

  1. type the word restore in your Start menu.  Some options will appear.  Choose to restore the system and settings files
  2 - Click Next, choose July 14 (or a date before the problem occurred), and then click Next again.  Your system will restart with repaired parameters.
