What is the difference between recovery and reboot.

I'll do a system restore using the recovery disks that I made when I came to the computer.  I was looking at the options in advance for the system recovery and was eager to learn more about a couple of options.  I would like to know what is the difference between 'Recover your computer to its factory settings' and ' reset the computer by erasing the entire disk and re-create the configuration factory. "  I mainly do to just get rid of a bunch of stuff that is no longer necessary, but for later use that one would be better to get rid of malware and viruses?

Thanks to all those who take the time to read and answer to this topic.

Hello

for questions about the wording in the process of recovery of the computer manufacturers, contact the manufacturer, visit their website or read any instructions provided with your computer

It's their recovery process not microsofts
