  I think that it s not a good idea to do something if you n t know how and what.
  Visit the simple computer dealer and especially that they know how to disassemble these devices.

  But I put t know if it s profitable. The laptop is old and maybe you need a new motherboard. These pieces are not cheap and I think that it is best to buy a second hand laptop. Maybe on eBay?

  We have a L750D and we just went back to factory settings due to a failure of the operating system.
  Pre re install my wife used to run the software called studio silhouette on it without any problem.

  After re install the program is very slow / unresponsive and using most of the CPU.
  According to 'silhouette support' re install may have missed to the old graphics drivers (as we have updated their since 2011).

  Silhouette must clearly be the ability to Open GL to work properly (whatever that means!) and the old graphics drivers may not. Through a program called Speccy, I found this graphics driver amd radeon hd 6320.

  Anyone know if this pilot could be updated?

  I have a Modbus (VP Flowscope) instrument that I'm trying to interface with and I've never worked on before Modbus.  I wanted to see if anyone had some tips to get this working soon.

  I wrote the code using the NI DSC, the code on the NOR-Lab Toolkit (which is roughly the same as the DSC OR) and another download which can be found here:

  All of them fail with my setup, even if I think I can see a response from the slave device.

  Attached are a few snapshots of my code and a screen shot of what I see on the oscilloscope.  On the ground of the scope, I think that the second operation is a response of the slave, because if I change the settings (address, parity, etc.) then I do not see this transaction.

  I got this job with the 1.2.1 MODBUS library, where you can dive into the code and see the bytes sent/received.

  Once I realized my bytes sent were the same as what I saw in other programs, after a bit of work to clear some false errors (reading 00 what from VISA read IO error exception), I could see the bytes received were the same institutions.

• Check if a GPIB device is turned on

  Hi all.  Fairly new to LabVIEW, to be understanding.  I searched and searched for a solution for what must be a very common problem, so I must be mssing something very simple.

  I am writing a vi to control up to three units GPIB.  The problem is that they will not be lit permanently, and people fly for other platforms (sometimes they even give them back, occasionally with their address unchanged GPIB).

  The thing is, I don't want the vi user to rely on all units being there, with the right address GPIB specified and put on the market.

  I know that LabVIEW will give me an error 14, put an end to execution, if she does not see a unit at a given address, but this seems surprisingly gross and I would rather deal with the error in other ways (disable the part of the measure, giving an error message etc. - details to be defined!).

  Then... How can I check that there is a GPIB device turned on at the specific address without sending a command that triggers the same error (for example, error 14) program that I try to avoid?

  Everything works fine when all units are powered on and properly addressed.

  I am very vague about what is VISA (or if it is still relevant to this question) and have in it (and will not if I have to).  I just used "GPIB write" and "read GPIB" functions.  I would like a minimum of jargon, please.

  You need to disable the automatic error handling (Tools > Options > block diagram) and the wire to the top of the error in/out of clusters. A Unbundle by name you will get the error code.

  This is a simple error handler that displays a message. If this error occurs, I put the next State (you use a state machine, aren't you?) to test the connection.

  

  You should probably take the LabVIEW tutorial to get a better understanding of the error in/out cluster.
