  Hey, I don't know what when preset with the best for me is to get the best quality.

  I use "Fraps" to record stuff from my computer.

  I use a LED Tv 42 '' with the resolution: 1920 x 1080.

  Also, I tried to use the DV PAL sequence preset, but then the quality was really bad and it didn't fit in the window of this show the clip you edit it (I don't know the name of the small window)

  A preset of 1080 p AVCHD would work fine, depending on the framerate fraps record to 60i/50i (25 or 30 fps).

  The specifications of your programs are not high if you buy a cheaper model with a bit slower CPU and graphics card.
  But important to know would be what display size you want because there are a lot of different Toshiba laptops.

  Theoretically, Toshiba NB300 should be fast enough but it has a small screen size but very high battery life because it saves energy.

  You have external speakers or headphones? If this isn't the case, I would recommend a laptop computer with speakers Harman/kardon powerful as Satellite A660. This last one I and it of absolutely brilliant, the best laptop I've ever had. It has the powerful processor Intel Core i7 CPU with 6 GB of RAM, 500 GB drive HARD and nVidia GeForce GT330M graphics card. Keyboard is quite nice for typing and the display has many colors due LED backlight.

  Friend bought me also by Satellite A660 but with processor i3 and Core 4 GB of RAM. That s too powerful and for your needs, it would be fast enough.

  But seriously. For a newspaper, I would avoid without font ("Arial", Helvetica, universe, myriad). Why not try some of the rich classics? A few of them come on the InDesign DVD, but I don't know which. Minion Pro is a very nice, but perhaps too modern. Try Jenson Pro, Caslon Pro or Adobe Garamond Pro. The 'Pro' means that these fonts have extended features, such as the former graphic ornaments (very pretty when used in the proper context!), style old numbering and true small capitals.

  Use a classic police will be your journal gives a very high class look. For a large page, you can use columns of three (or four); even on a smaller size of the page, two columns look better than one. It also gives you the advantage of having guidelines for one, one-and-a-half, two or even three images wide column and headlines.   Either probably would be perfect for your needs honestly.  I don't see being a big limiter there RAM, and Intel HD graphics have come a long way since the horror stories years (Vista).
