What should I do if HP and Scan Dr. printing fails on WIA?

If printing HP and Scan Dr. fails control WIA, this is normally because the WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) service has stopped running, or needs to be rebooted.  The process to check the WIA service is not so difficult.  I'll go through it below.

To check the WIA services:

1. click on the start menu.

2. click on run, type services.msc and press enter on the keyboard.  For Windows 8 computers, press the Windows key + R to display the immediate window, type services.msc in the box run and press enter on the keyboard.

3. the Services window will go up.

4. scroll down until you see Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) and select. (Image below).

5. make sure the service is started and set to automatic.  If the service is already started, stop the service and start it again. (Image below).

6 scroll down until you see Detection equipment core and select. (Image below).

7. make sure the service is started and set to automatic.  If the service is already started, stop the service and start it again. (Image below).

8 scroll down until you see remote procedure call (RPC) and select. (Image below).

9 make sure the service is started and set to automatic.

10. close the Services window.

I hope this helps.
