  Follow these steps and check if that helps:

  a. log on to a user administrator account in Windows XP.

  b. click the rectangular 'Start' button in the left corner and open the control panel.

  c. click on "Performance and Maintenance" and select "Power Options".

  d. choose 'Never' lists 'sleep' and 'Putting into hibernation'. Then click on 'OK '.

  Check your installed programs and so PES 9 is listed, uninstall it by using uninstall.

  You can try to start in safe mode and check if the problem persists. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started.   According to me, there are situations that are valid for this.  I would like to remove the arrow from shortcuts on the desktop that I keep to certain folders.  I have file extensions on and do not keep the installers on the desktop, so I don't see the harm to remove the arrow of my shortcut 'Documents '.  I never think of Documents is actually stored on the desktop.  And if something, it only would make me more hesitant to delete a shortcut, no more likely to remove a real folder.  I plead to remove the arrow system, but it would be useful for specific desktop icons.  It's obviously the case, because Microsoft has decided to remove the arrow for "user files" folder is added through the control panel "Desktop Icon Settings".

  Try the following:

  1. click on START
  2. click on 'run '.
  3. Type "regedit" (without the quotes) and press enter
  4. expand "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE."
  5 expand "Software".
  6 expand "Microsoft."
  7 expand "Windows".
  8. expand 'CurrentVersion '.
  9 left-click (once) 'Explorer' to select
  10. on the right side, right-click somewhere in the open space and select new > DWORD (32-bit) Value
  11 type "Max Cached Icons" (without the quotes) and press enter
  12. double click on the DWORD value is created and then enter 2048. Then click on 'Ok '.

  13. click on START
  14. click on 'run '.
  15 type 'cmd' and press enter
  16 type C:\Windows\ShellIconCache and press enter
  17. find the icon Cache file and delete it

  18. restart your computer

  If the above does not resolve the problem, I create a new user account on the computer and migrate your data on. You may have a corrupted user account.
