  • Inspiron 1520 sound card problem

    Hello

After a few manipulations of partition I did I had to reinstall Vista (Home Basic).

Then I installed the SP1 and the corresponding drivers from the drivers disk.

Now - while he was trying to make a voice call with Skype (it worked before) - I get e message that there is a problem with the sound card.

What sound card the 1520 there?

Shouldn't she displayed in Device Manager?

    Don't miss this driver?

    Two additional points:

    1. when I use the Drivers and Utilities disc (supplied with the notebook) - I have the list of all 1520 drivers associates. In the list there is a Sigmatel audio driver, however, it is not indicated that this is the card I have - as for other devices.

    2. the laptop speakers do not work.

  • Pavilion: Sound card for audio capture

Don't know model #. The control panel in his says my default device's stereo IDT High Def Audio CODEC. Indicates the line to IDT HD Audio CODEC is not plugged in (under the heading says currently unavailable rear mic and mic)

I have a jack online, but who goes to the speakers who plays what is already on the PC. I tried to put an Audiology Sound Blaster card in the motherboard, but it does not fit. (The motherboard is IMP87-MP)

  • New installation of Windows XP Home edition on Qosmio F20 - sound card errors

    Hello

I am one of those who is very reckless on internet and download a lot of spam and viruses along the way. I keep, but I'm also obsessive compulsive on the backup of my important files, so when my computer flip out on me, I just wipe it clean and continue!

I stick to windows XP because some software I use still does not work on Vista, and I also install a completely new copy of XP instead of recovery as bundles of Toshiba with my laptop. Why? Because I lost it...

Anyway, I've been tracking the drivers to get the last bits of the material work and all seem to work well! The only problem I have is with the (Yes, you guessed it!) sound card driver!

I have a Qosmio F20 and have no idea of what sound card is actually inside this thing, I have always used SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio drivers and they do most of the work very well, but they seem to have problems when I try to use Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and Soundbooth. Both programs complain that there is no sound card and then refuse to open,

As far as I know, the driver that I use is by 'Analog Devices' and v5.12.1.5240. I don't know if it's really any help at all!

Does anyone know which driver is correct to use and where to find it, or is the fault, I have just an inevitable?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Pav

    Hello Pav

Have you installed Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2 included?

On the Toshiba download page, there is a driver available and I do not understand why you think that this is not the right one. The same driver will be installed if you use recovery CD/DVDs.

  • Anyone know why I can't get sound, have a sound card, etc.

I need to be able to see if my system recognizes the soundcard, I get zippo and he can't understand why.  Although not an expert Gerand I am very fluent unix and many years of experience with mid-range systems.

Did you download and install device drivers appropriate for your system?
    (In this case - audio.)

Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, Windows... While they all come with some drivers, they do not come with all the possibilities.  You need to understand about what sound card you have (make and model) and visit the manufacturers website and see if there is a driver available for this card for Windows XP template.

  • T400 sound card?

Can someone tell me what sound card is in the T400. Support 6-channel audio? Thank you guys

Hi, it has only 2 channels on the ThinkPad.

    It's the map:

System high definition (HD) Audio, codec Conexant CX20561

  • Can anyone recommend a sound card for audio mixing 5.1 in first CC 2014?

I'm trying to use a card the Sound Blaster Z, but the first will recognize only 2 audio channels in hardware configuration, so I can't watch the 5.1 mix full. So if someone uses to build a first 5.1 mix, could you let me know what sound card you use? It would be a great help.

    Jay

It turns out that Creative has replaced the original "Creative Sound Blaster ASIO" in an update of the driver with a newer "Creative SBZ ASIO", and the latest ASIO only supports two channels, unlike the original support 6. Lots of progress!

  • Confirmation of the sound card for CS5 body

I tried to determine the sound card should I buy for Creative Suite CS5 compatible with Premier Pro.  I have reviewed the positions resulting from my research this list a number of sound cards.  Some indicate problems.

With no experience in cards ASIO sound and several to choose from, what sound card is recommended for the overall performance of the experience?

    John,

The image in a previous post and the components I mentioned that you may be able to distill my workflow for VO. Note that I have not (regularly) use a teleprompter, even if occasionally I can get one from a friend to use.

My workflow is written the text of VO, I want to add. The reason is that I want every sentence having a flow, I want to know where to focus, where having a silent part and get an overall feel of the story. It should be like the old stories told on the radio. It must arouse the interest of the public, even with your eyes closed, it must Captivate their and it helps me get the correct wording, avoids the use of difficult words, etc. I don't then go to a room in my house, close windows, doors, turn off the phone, tell my wife not to confuse me, hope that nobody rings a Bell at the entrance door and no ambulances pass our House with sirens screaming, no outside disturbances and installation of the filter SE reflection Pro and the microphone. I then read the text, usually wise paragraph, get my knowledge again and continue to the next section. When I feel that everything is OK, I remove the Zoom of the SD card, import WAV recordings in my computer and import them into my project. It is then a simple matter of dragging each paragraph in the timeline (mono track) and the position where I want, and so on to the next paragraph. In this way, I get a very clear sound VO, in need of no other audio processing and positioning is very fast. This works very well for me, but maybe that your workflow is different, so distilled that you need and that you can use from this description.

  • Is there a way to know what makes a noise of grinding on my lap? I was told that my sound card driver may be able

    No upgrade

I recently did the upgrade of the driver of the Doc and found things that I didn't exist on my computer, which was given to me by my nephew.  He turns quiet and really did not have any complaints until after that I did the upgrade of the driver of the Doc.  Now, that sounds like a grinding machine.  I was told that when I talked about Facebook, I need to update my sound card driver.  I did a search to see what it means, but I am not prepared to do right now.  Can someone reassure me that it will be an easy fix?

Could be a problem of fan cooling, remove the side cover of the tower and see if you can see or hear the sound is coming from.

My advice would be the same. Certainly, it looks like a fan at the origin of the problem. Fans get older they intermittently can make noise. This would explain why you hear sometimes and not others.

Furthermore, to see if your sound card, causing the noise (which I doubt), just turn off all your speakers when you hear the noise. If the sound stops immediately, it's actually a sound card related question.

There are often several fans inside the computer.  There will be one which is part of the power supply. Sometimes one or more attached to the casing of the computer itself (usually the Panel that you remove the first and one on the front of the case.)  There will probably be one on top of the CPU (central processing unit), as well as on the video card.

Not recommended advice (which I did before) - gently tap on the center of the fan that you suspect is making noise. Jiggleling it will sometimes make noise to stop. In this case, you know which fan needs to be replaced.

Even worse advice (which I also done before) - take a small piece of wood (for example, a 1/4-inch dowel rod) and insert slowly into the fan to keep it from turning. If the noise stops, you have found the fan that needs to be replaced. Remove the stick to regularize quickly because he will always try to run and we don't want it burn.

If you can't find that a fan is causing trouble you want to replace as soon as possible because it will eventually stop working and cause one or more components in your computer to overheat.

  • Cannot access the internet, gone wrong, Sys restore sound card unidentifired - now what is happening?

I have PC with XP Pro SP3, worked fine for 3 years, now in the last 3 weeks, he's gone crazy mad.  All of a sudden I can't access broadband or dial-up internet (yes I have dial-up, sad again isn't, but it doesn't work now either). Tried system restore and it seems to have been disabled, it will not work when you click on it to start after a restore point has been selected. Suddenly the sound card does not either, even though I've played CD on the computer for 3 years without problem. Help!

I think that this problem has appeared in 2008/2009 for other people, because there are several blogs that refer to him, but no one appears on any of these items with a solution.

Anyone got any ideas? I use my laptop to send this message, but fortunately it works OK, the PC has absolutely no access to the internet at all. Help!

    Hi MalcomLowe.

Click on Start, run on your keyboard and type "Winver" in the Run dialog box. Click on 'OK'. Take note of the information. Press the Windows logo +Pause/Break key, and take note of the information. After the two pieces of information here on this thread.

Note: If the information generated by these two actions show that your type of processor is an intel no CPU (AMD), and that you do not have Windows XP SP3 installed, download and run these two files in the following order

Ignore text on professionals computing and network facilities.

    Reset

If none of the above applies to you, you can try the components reset Windows Update (manually) because you do not have the ability to get on the net.

How can I reset the Windows Components update. (The automated fix solution X and refer to the manual steps) in the link.

    1. do you receive error messages when you try to go on the internet?

    2. What is the exact text of the error message.

    3. click on Start, run, type "cmd" in the Run dialog box. Type of ' Ipconfig/all'. That said the information generated?

When you say that you have done a system restore, what you mean exactly, and what steps have you taken to perform this task?
