• How can I get the search bar on the home page of Firefox to stop mirroring of what is in the search toolbar?

  This seems to be something new, but I usually use the built in the toolbar to search at the top right of my Firefox window to search eBay and I usually go to the Firefox default Home/Start for searches on Google page. Now, it seems that whenever I try to search from the home/start page, I get the results of any search engine is specified in the top search bar. So if toolbar is set to 'eBay' and I search something on the homepage, only eBay results appear.
  I don't want to do. I want that the Google search home page every time, no matter what is on my search toolbar. It's really annoying to have to go to the search bar engine resume Google and then my search. I often open new tabs quickly find something relevant to what I'm working on because it requires less effort to hit Ctrl + T to open a new tab that is already on the cover with my cursor in the search field, than using the toolbar where I have to take my hands on the keyboard to use the mouse. How can I fix it. This "improvement" sucks.

  I forgot an obvious solution to this problem. I just changed my homepage of "www.google.com" rather than use the default Firefox homepage. In hindsight, it makes little sense to use the default Firefox homepage as an intermediary to Google anyway.

  Hi, I did what you said and disabled all add ons and one allowed them and managed to make it work. It was the 'googlebar update"add that I disabled it and everything went back to normal

  A window of Microsoft began to appear on my desktop Dell Dimension computer, November 18, 2010, named Search Enhancement Pack file folder.  This appears when you start.  I'm not familiar with that.  Should I have it appear and, otherwise, I'd be grateful for your advice me what to do with it.  Thank you.   I have a desktop computer, Dell Dimension 4100 with Windows XP, Service Pack 3, processor Pentium 111 with 930 MHZ, 20 GB hard drive and 512 MB RAM.  The file system is FAT 32.  Stewart Fluney

  Method 1:

  The Search Enhancement Pack is part of the Live toolbar, the highlighting of search pack is not really necessary. You can disable it if you like by following the steps mentioned below. However, this file doesn't cause any damage to your system.

  You can try to remove this Pack by

  a. click onStart

  b. Selectrun

  c. type the following command:msiexec /x {299CF645-48C7-4FA1-8BCD-5CE200CF180D}

  d. clickOK.

  Method 2:

  If this is not the case, this pack will be present in the Add / Remove programs. You can uninstall it from there. To uninstall a program in the system follow the steps mentioned below.

  a. go to C:/Program Files/Microsoft/Search Enhancement Pack

  b. search for a file named "Seaport.exe" and change it to "Port old.exe" and delete all the files in this folder.

  c. remove all programs 'Windows Live Messenger' in the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs configuration. Restart the computer.

  d. If the 'Search Enhancement Pack' window does not appear on initialize to top, then re - install Windows Live Messenger. (latest version)

  I'm not sure how Labview manages the following situation:

  I have a loop that is timed with a period of 1000 m, it is configured to ignore the lost iterations and keep the initial phase. I created a task that needs to be read continuously at a frequency of 1 kHz. In the timed loop, there are the DAQmx - read function (analog signal, 1 channel, N samples)

  Now, if I put the number of samples per channel at 1500 for example (while it takes 1500 * 1 ms = 1500 ms > timed_loop_period to read), I noticed that the timed loop takes ~ 1500 ms to complete. The same phenomenon occurs with any other number greater than the period of the loop.

  This means that the period of the loop passes to 1500 ms? Or something different?

  You go winding with an iteration of the loop of 2000 msec.

  An iteration of the loop will always be until he has to do.  If you tell him to keep the first phase and it works for a long time, then it will wait until the next 1000 msec happen before going to the next iteration of the loop.

  Now with your situation, later iterations cannot take it any longer.  If you are permanently data acquisition, DAQ mx buffer fills while the loop is still pending.  So when he runs again, there may already be 500 msec value of data in the buffer, and he just needs to wait another 1000 ms up to what you have acquired the total of 1500 milliseconds of data you have requested.

  The situation for the third iteration of the loop will depend on whether the other was done within the 1000 msec, or ran just a bit long.  It behaves more like the first iteration, or the 2nd iteration.

  My question is why you use it timed while loop?  What characteristic of it you need that a regular while loop is not?  I think that mixing and matching the characteristics of a timed, while the loop with your DAQ acquisition will cause a continuously variable behavior time loop which is probably not what you want, or could cause you problems down the road if you're trying to do is to get the continuous acquisition of your DAQ hardware.

  Hello pili308, this page is certainly not used by a fresh install of firefox. other research about appbario8 success suggests it could be malicious associates. You can try to install the Search reset extension which restores the common parameters which often change programs to their default values.

  No matter what I do, the search engines in the toolbar by default return Yahoo! Remove all but Google does not help. When you restart Firefox Yahoo is the default value. Similarly, new tabs and the home page back to Yahoo after the reopening. This is a new laptop HP with Windows 10 and I just downloaded Firefox. I spent a lot of time trying to solve this problem and about to give up and to switch browsers. I bet that Chrome will allow me to use Google.

  Generally, changes in parameters are retained between reboots. If you change other preferences such as your home page, Firefox manages to retain those between reboots?

  Two other thoughts:

  (1) some software utility/security/life private changes the folder of Firefox settings between sessions. This includes Advanced SystemCare and various programs 'homepage protection' or "browsing protection" feature. If you have any software with a similar feature, disable it until everything is set as you want and stable.

  (2) you might check all the extensions that could possibly change the settings when you start Firefox. You can do this on the page modules. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then, take a critical look on the list on the right side. On a new installation, it is usually empty, unless Firefox has detected the extensions that already exist on your system. Something unexpected?

  Hello, today I noticed the new update of Firefox, specially in the search bar, I used to change between the engines or crl research using crt + low + high, but now I only type what I want to search and use the arrows to select the search engine, but I want to change the order of search engines , because youtube is the second in my list, but now it's the last of them, I can access it by using the arrows.

  I have not found the option to hide other search engines, but not to sort.

  I always see them in the order in which they appear as shown through the window of the old search engine Manager.

  You can open the Manager of search engines with this chrome URI in a tab to change the order:

• Search for Time Machine backups for email

  I need to get my backup files for a particular email. This backup is on an external hard drive but not in active service at the moment but plugged on my system for purposes of trying to locate this email and the ability to retrieve other emails stored with the hope of adding them in my active files.

  My current setup of the system is: internal HD: operating system and active storage, (OS X 10.8.5

  3 t external HD: Active™ backup,.

  4 t external HD: archive™ backups.

  Because I'm not sure how Mail stores the emails, I don't know what file (s) to search the Archives of Time Machine or if there is some way I can use the Time Machine application to access this file.

  Is it possible to access these archived files?

  Please, do not settle everything about upgrading to El Capitan.

  I opened the Mail,

  go to the folder where I kept the email-

  Then enter the Time Machine and scroll down to date.

  Contents of this file is displayed at the top of my window.

  Then I click on restore (the element or folder)
