When I connect my ti computer internet it is said about another computer has the same IP address, but I bought the authentic version of the garage?

I bought my laptop at an authorized dealer with a genuine version of windows 7 one year back. I could update normally. for a few days now when I connect my turn to the internet and try to download an update message is coming that someone else has same IP in this network, contact the network administrator.

Please help me.

Dr. bora

It seems you are using internet from a local network.

You can ask the network administrator to give you a new IP address.

If you do not use internet from a local network, you can probably call your Internet service provider and they will help you.

There is nothing wrong with your computer.

Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (a little

  • Another computer has the same IP address as mine, how can I change this?

Another computer has the same IP address as mine, how can I change this?

    Original title: IP address

    Hi John,.

Please go to the Microsoft Community Forum.

IP (Internet Protocol) address for the other two computer cannot be the same.

Internet Protocol (IP) addresses are unique numeric identifiers that are required for each device that connects to the Internet. Them are a common shared resource that must be managed carefully in order to ensure the continued growth and stability of the Internet. Most of the Internet is currently treated with IP version 4 (IPv4) addresses. IPv6 addresses are also in use, but not yet to the same extent. IPv6 is a newer protocol, offering a much larger than IPv4 address pool

However, you can try to reset TCP/IP on your computer.

Check out the link provided and check if the problem persists.

How to reset the Protocol Internet (TCP/IP)

    original title: address Ip issues

What should I do or what it means when a warning is displayed on my laptop saying that this computer has the IP as another device?

This means that there is another computer/device on your local network with the same IP as your PC. Try to configure your network adapter to use DHCP, or just give it an IP address different yourself... most LANs are minimal and you shouldn't have a hard time to randomly select another IP.

  • A computer repair shop can install windows on someones computer off a 'set of generic disks' if the computer has the right to this type of windows via a PIN single/code/serialnumber?

A few years back, I took a computer to a repair shop and had not the discs, the repair guy said that they could legally restore the computer and load it on a wide a copy of a random/generic windows (the same computer had the right of)

    is it legitimate?

Seems like it would be, I mean if the computer has the right to this title, but I don't know if you're telling me.

    Thank you

If the Windows license is an OEM license (ie. the computer was purchased from a company like Dell, HP, etc. with pre-installed Windows), then the license is bound to the machine.  Each manufacturer has a way to check their OEM license is valid.  One method is for the manufacturer to place a code in the BIOS of the motherboard that validates the copy of XP, when installed with a floppy disk to install from the same manufacturer.  So it should be perfectly legitimate to restore license OEM to the originating from a floppy to install OEM computer.
