It seems that the PDF file association is messed up.
· You can open other files very well?
· The PDF file opens in HTML format?
Method 1: Try the following.
a. right click on the PDF file.
b. select open with. Check if you have Adobe Reader.
c. otherwise, expand other programs.
d. Select Adobe Reader, then place a check mark on the always use the selected program to open this type of file.
e. click Ok.

Hi, I found the problem, it seems that the pdf file uses a helvetica font, and when we write in a part of the PDF with the Danish letters A, Æ, O, it changes signs. I changed the Roman fonts in adobe acrobat pro, and then there's no problem. But he seem´s that the standard in pdf files is helvetica, and there is not time to change the files, because we get only the files on the day of the exams at school. It happens in all versions of adobe 11 and DC, it is also a problem on Windows 7, 8.1 and windows 10 more Macbook.

I have a pdf file that deals on the product description. I want to start with a picture of the interface and a link on the next line says "Expand". This link will open the image of the interface with the highest resolution. I can't find a way to incorporate another image... I'm not flipping... When I click on the link, then only, the image should appear as a popup... I have Adobe Acrobat Professional... but cnt find a relevant option for this task...
is there a javascript to call this particular image when the link is clicked.
I want just the image to appear as a pop-up and not another file.

As Dave said, you can create a button to show/hide a layer.
You also have a button which shows/hides another button.
First create a button with the image you want to appear under the icon and then hide it (button properties > General > hidden)
Then create another button which shows/hides the first button when the user clicks on (button properties > Actions > show/hide a field action)

When I try to open a linked pdf file, Firefox asks me where I want to save it!
Firefox has never used to do this. It does with our intranet and other external sites. I don't want to save the pdf file. It's very exasperating, and if it is not resolved, I will change to another default browser.
A recent Firefox update to v 23 also causes our site Intranet https must be blocked. You must select allow. Whenever we go to a different page the same thing happens. It is hopeless and totally inapplicable. How to return to v-22?
In order to change the default reader for PDF files (allow Firefox open the PDF file instead of save locally), follow these steps:
- Go to Tools > Options (or Firefox > Options).
- In the Options window, select the Applications tab.
- In the Search box, type PDF. You should find Portable Document Format (PDF).
- On the right referring, you should find a column of Action . To select your favorite PDF reader. In order to view PDFs in Firefox, choose Preview in Firefox.

Say the file to display is statement.pdf and it is has already been transferred to the images of the apex. There is a hidden field P3_FILENAME on the view page. This gets the value of the report. On the HTML region:

PI think that the HTML code is the search of explicit & P3_FILENAME. and can't find it because it is referenced by the HTML renderer instead of the PL/SQL engine that would manage the substitution of variables.
Try to create a PL/SQL region where you write the divs as strings using the DBMS_OUTPUT. PUT_LINE. I use it to create fairly complicated reports and it works very well to let me do a substitution of variables between my HTML code. Here's a simple example (mine is a procedure that that gives the word for food in page variables):

As is typical, software engineers, or maybe it's the marketing clowns who prescribe what we, collectively, want or expect with software apps new and improved, we know and love. When I create and/or launch a pdf file I am unable to stop the 'tools' to also launch - pane "" they think I am unable to find said 'tool pane', then 'they' put up as a characteristic defect - SOMETHING I don't care for...
So, anyone know how to prevent such "Component tools" to accompany any pdf file I create and/or start to show after the backup?
PS - I tried through the function "Préférences" under "Edit" in the menu bar. Maybe I am unable to decipher what certain choices are so I'm on the possible solution. I tired many variables without result.

Missing letters when combined several pdf files
I created several PDFs from Microsoft Word. When I open them in Acrobat, they display correctly; However, when I combine them into a single pdf file, random letters disappear at random places on all pages. I am running Windows 7 and have tried Acrobat 7, Acrobat 9 Pro and recently downloaded and tried the trial version of Acrobat X Pro - the problem has persisted in all versions. I tried to uninstall/reinstall the program and the Acrobat printer, as well as a few other fixes I have read on the forums. Nothing seems to solve the problem. Any suggestions?
Were embedded fonts or subset before combining files? (File > properties > fonts) If not, suggest to change your Word preferences or preferences of the Adobe PDF printer in a framework that alays incorporates fonts.
