When I resize a photo to the web LR displays a very small image, not the actual size.

When I resize a photo to the web LR displays a very small image, not the actual size that appears when I download on a website! ???

Yes, it should work. It should show you exactly what the image will look like on normal, non-retine displays. At least if you have the resolution of your screen (in preferences-> display system) the value 'best for display '. In this case your computer exactly double the resolution.

The link I posted above is for when you want to go further. In fact, he shows how to send images of different sizes to people looking at your site on the retina against those who seek to your site on normal screens. This will allow a still sharper image that people can get on a display to display. What it basically does is make their web browser asks a 1600 pixel image if only they are viewing on a screen high resolution while asking a low-resolution image 800 pixels for people using normal poster. This example uses all available pixels to choose the type of display. It takes just a bit of HTML and javascript coding. My main site done automatically like smugmug has this built already, but my blog site does not automatically so I had to code around it. This makes your images look amazing on the screens with high resolution such as on the screens of the retina and iPads.

  • Why when I choose a photo in the library grid view it does not appear in the window to develop up to selected in the Filmstrip below?

Why when I choose a photo in the library grid view it does not appear in the window to develop up to selected in the Filmstrip below?

It was the strangest thing, but I think I solved the problem. Use the CC version 2015.1 on a Wacom tablet using Win 8.1 and inadvertently from the same batch of photos, I had downloaded twice and it was very confusing because it did not prevent the duplication of files, but the files where not really there. I didn't know whether to remove or delete the files with question marks for fear of destroying a link or something so merged files and now everything works as it should, once chosen in the library that the photo appears in develop mode.

  • How can I know the actual size of the type in a document of intent 'web '?

I'm designing a document for iPhone 6plus pixels (1334 x 750) and need to know how translates the size. For example, when I call a text 30 PT., in the real world on the iPhone it's something much smaller than this... maybe 12 pt. This has something to with the number of pixels in the canvas... but how to convert?

So, how to calculate the actual size of the type? I'm not good at math, I need to be told how to do it.

For the output and display at 100%, InDesign defines the physical size of a pixel as "1/72, so the relationship between the print type size and displayed size of the iPhone is a simple report. For the iPhone6 72/326 Gets the relative size of the print to display discount, and 326/72 would be a multiplier. So to display 12pt type how it would print, set it to 54.4 pt (12 x 4.53). Or, to view a 1 inch by 1 inch square, resize it 453%.

For the iPhone6 more the multiplier is 401/72 or 5.57

  • How can I get the actual size of an element in a photo?

    HI -.

I was responsible for providing the actual measurements of the elements in the photographs. (There are 300 different photos, so I hope we find a pretty direct solution).

My thought process was to open a photo, drag a bounding box around the document with the tool of the mark and read the precautions in the Info Panel.  But it does not work too well.

In the sake of discussion, let's say I have a picture of a simple, plastic, badge/toy type 'happy meal '.  The insignia is actually 1 "squares.

When I drag the box around it the Panel Info tells me that it measures W:3.37 "X H:3.37".

    ' ' I can't figure out how to get l: 1 "x H:1" to appear in the Info Panel.

Dimensions of the photo show a massive 66 "x 44" at 72 dpi, and it seems that all 300 of these photos have the same dimensions, so one solution it should all.

So the question is - using Photoshop, how to learn the physical measures of an element in a photo?

I thought that this should be simple, but it turns out to be a real headache.

    Any expert TIA of entry.

    Josh

You open the dialog box Image size (Ctrl Alt i or Cmd Opt i on a Mac).  Make sure that resampling is _not_ checked and the width is defined in inches.  Now do a little math:

Size of your choice as 3.37 in. is indicated in your case, but you know that the actual size is 1 inch, multiply all that is in the field of the resolution of 3.37

So if it's 72 resolution must be 242.64

Make this change and OK it

Drag another sample around the badge to check that the right size now.

Don't forget: Re-sample must be disabled in the Image Size dialog box.

  • Questions regarding the process of implementing container/control. How "parent of filling" and how to get the actual size of the control?

I'm writing some UI component custom waterfalls. I went if the document several times and still have two questions:

    1. is it possible to adjust the width of the control to fill the container parent without specifying the number hardcoded in pixel? I see many example of code uses '768' as hardcoded width.

    2. I understand that the 'preferred size' could be ignored in some cases. Is it possible that I can get the actual size of the control on the screen programmatically?

    3. is there any signal was issued when a control container/finish covering all of its child nodes? How do I know what size of a control is finally decided?

    Thank you

    (1) you can use (QML)

    horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Fill

    or (C++)

    myControl->setHorizontalAlignment(HorizontalAlignment::Fill);

This will cause control occupy the entire width available to its parent. However, keep in mind you may have to use this property on all containers of parent to the node root to get the width of the full screen.

  • Why export dump shows at least that the actual size?

Why export dump shows at least that the actual size?

A large number of parameters must be taken into account. For example, for an empty table, only the DOF will be exported even if the segments are re-created when import. I'm not sure of what you are looking for and why, but a size of dump export has a little to do with the occupation of segments.
I suggest you read the note * overview of original export and import utilities [61949.1 ID] * +, it is well explained.

  • What is the actual size of a varray (empty) in a folder?

What is the actual size occupied by a varray (empty) in a folder?

What is the actual size of the type XXX record when 'myRefs' is empty? For some reason, select data_length in the all_tab_cols where table_name = YYY always seems to come back 3K the length of the column myrefs... is that correct? Otherwise, what is the correct size?

The size of your REF attribute (or element, in your case) will depend on whether it is a primary key or generated by the system if it is extended or not, and it carries with it a hint of rowid-based. The overall size of your VARRAY attribute as it grows also will depend on whether you allow nulls to REF or not, but essentially will be the size of your time REF multiplied the number of items in your VARRAY (plus a small amount of storage for internal cleaning, both for the attribute for each constant element).

  • Resizing of photos to the forum posts

I can't get my photos to reduce the sufficient size for display on an online forum.  I tried the Image/resize but can't seem to adjust the pixels (no choice).  Have tried again and again, only to find that the image is too large.

    Any suggestions?

In Image > resize > Image size, check the resample and contrain proportions

for the long side, with contrain proportions controlled, items automatically

among other value. You don't have to worry about the display resolution

on the web, just the size of the pixel (dimensions).

I tend to use the resizing of the image, then use file > save for Web and choose one of

options jpeg for photos and one of the options png for screenshots.

You can resize your images in the save for web dialog box, but sometimes

  • When can I remove photos from the iPhone by making sure they are saved in the cloud?

When I can I free up space on my iPhone 6, deletion of photos/videos, ensure that they are saved in the cloud?
When I buy more space on the cloud, it is to iCloud, iCloud Drive, iCloud photo library?
    Too confusing...

iCloud is a synchronization service, not off of storage of the unit. That means that it is not designed to "free space" on your phone by moving your photos and videos to iCloud. All photos will remain synchronized between your phone and iCloud.

You can select the feature to OPTIMIZE, significantly reduce the space that take your photos on your phone.

When you upgrade your iCloud space, it's for all features in iCloud, as backup space, iCloud disk space and so on.

If you really want the maximum space on your phone, you can import your pictures and videos on a PC and then delete them from your phone. It does use icloud photo library.
