I have a Dell XPS of SE 8700, running Windows Pro 8.0 for 1 month. When should I expect to see the update/update 8.1?
Search the store for Metro applications. Should be the first entry.

After the upgrade to Windows 8.1 the OEM of Windows 8 my machine on the ground to stop. I looked at some common problems, but there are just to many to test when my machine is so slow. Right click takes about 10 minutes to display the menu to give you an idea.
To make things worse, I tried to do a reset of the HP recovery but it kept also, failing a lesson well learned to create additional recovery CD!
In any case, I have a copy of Windows 7 but HP does not support this OS on this system, I searched this forum but can't find anything particular about my model number and drivers Windows 7.
A point in the right direction for Windows 7 drivers for this system would be a great help or advice for me to use the machine on the 8.1

Your model is pretty easy to install W7 x 64 on.
If you let me know which model of laptop wireless card is came with, I'll post the link to this driver too.
I don't think the drivers wireless since the page g7z-2100 driver will work.
Here are links to most of the drivers you need:
First of all, download and install the AMD chipset driver and restart. To install the smbus and usb3 controllers.

VAIO pro 13 sensor sends the brightness after the upgrade to windows Pro 8.1

When I go to build the disk I get an error from Adobe that says "Access denied", just as I have upgraded to Windows Pro 10. I went to another computer Windows 10 and it burned it perfectly. Has anyone encountered this error in 6 yet?

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium: Tray Lock worked until the upgrade of Windows 10
Since a year now, I have 1 locked drawer for our book of receipt only, easier than all the other printing set to automatically select the default tray to tray 2 (Tray 1 is locked and all)! But I tried the upgrade of Windows 10, that was an epic fail and my cpomputer was sent to the doctor for the day. When I came back I had to basically start over with a new computer. I have everything back to be better than before, but THIS problem! Receipts in Tray 1 and my payment software its configured for Tray 1 specifically for receipts. All other default things that select and always tray 2. I can't anything out of tray 1. HOWEVER, my boss's computer is on a network with it and when it prints a receipt from his computer he properly dispences Tray 1. Yet.
Help! PLEASE, I BEG YOU!

Is the other computer Windows 10 institutions, who works for printing on tray 1?
It looks like Windows 10 and the software you are using does not work with the printer driver, what might happen.
You are able to print to Tray 1, when printing from MS Word or Notepad?

Here's the answer to your question from the research I've done. The upgrade to 8.0 8.1 is free. All you have to do is to ensure that all the required updates for your computer is done first. In my opinion, 8.1 is easier to use and I like it better than 8.0. However, an upgrade to 8.1 pro must be purchased and you can only go to pro 8.1 platform after the first passage at 8.1. If you need you can connect to an area of work or school, you will need to get 8.1 pro because you can not do 8.1. I hope this helps!

Hi all, it drives me crazy.
A month ago I went to install the upgrade of windows 8 on my current xp pro, at that time, put assistant level said no problem, I downloaded (and paid) the upgrade and then everything went to hell. I ended up having to clean my original xp install to get the computer back in working order.Now, I decided to try again with the update (using the same product key, I tried to install with last month) so I went back to my email, write down the product key and click the link to download it again, but this time he wont even let me try. The first time I started the upgrade wizard, which told me that I could indeed be upgraded, then I downloaded the upgrade and installed it. I had some problems with the download, but nothing that was not easy to fix (I honestly don't remember exactly what the problem was). Once the installation was apparent complete, I rebooted the computer when you are prompted and I got an error message that the installation has failed and then told me that the computer would come back on my original os. After a few moments, I received a message that the computer failed to return to the operating system, and the computer restarted and gave me the option to boot windows 8 or windows xp. I have tried both and neither is feasible. After trying both, I got a new screen that says my computer need of repair. I then re installed xp, clean boot from the floppy disk to return back at the beginning and have a computer working again. After all that, I reinstalled all the necessary updates and realized when I tried the original installation, I did turn sp2, but not sp 3 so this time I made sure to get that taken care of first. It is often a symptom of an incompatibility between LR and your video card. If the other suggestions don't help you, go to System Preferences > performance and uncheck use Graphics Processor.

I have the same problem - no HDMI on the output adapter since the upgrade to Windows 8. Sony upgrade information said that we had to restart when the connection to the docking station after the upgrade, but he indicated that it would cooperate.

I can't switch from Windows 7 to Windows 10, when I press the upgrade, it restarts just my laptop.

I would like to try the steps in this guide, "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 10).
If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.
- Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note: the IPV4 IP.
- Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
- Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
- Select Manual IP.
- Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
- Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
- Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
- Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
- Click on apply.
Please restart the router, the printer and the computer in this sequence.
If you're still having problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

Unpon update I found the C: drive was almost filled to capacity and had established that about 155 GB of files are now in a folder called windows.old when I saw the C: drive with explore. I was able to recover some of the files in subfolders: Documents and Favorites and hoped to return to garner extra of the content I rmembered I could use if migrated on space available. Subsequently, the files: Windows and Windows.old were more visible. It would be nice to collect a little more elements of the 'old' files, but of equal importance would be the prospect of eliminating the overhead of the files ~ 155GB now unusable. (1) how I see these files? (2) how can I erase what I don't want when I see it? (3) is there a risk to just delete the program files that are stored in the Windows.old folder?

Dear God. I can't believe how much a long time ago, I asked this question. Over 2 years later I see something in my Inbox (right now). Honestly, I know more ask this question.
And more now, I would say try the upgrade to Windows 2000 if you happen to have a product key. Then go to Windows XP. If not, is it possible to restore Windows 98 updates? Perhaps the latest edition of Service causes a conflict with the upgrade. You be left with a clean cloth. I'm curious, that you still have a machine running Windows 98? What is the material/specs on this platform? I can't believe anyone is still out there running old technology like this to use out of it.
