When I try to download from a Web site, I am taken to the address but the page is white and does not download the document.

Mac OS 10.6.8 Firefox 14.0.1

Inspired by a person who had the same problem some time ago, I went to tools, click on Add-ons, has chosen plug-ins and disabled the plug-in to Adobe Acrobat NPAPI version 10.1.4.

Now, the download works as before.

Big Q: Why something - install the plug-in - Adobe that completely prevents the user to Adobe Reader for reading materials?

Other questions: 1. why the Adobe Acrobat NPAPI plugin can't be removed? 2. Why doesn't he appear when you search for the hard drive?
