When I type my cursor moves to another space.

When I type and im on a roll, my cursor jumps to rank higher, or somewhere other than where im typing.   I also put the I bar in the corner if it is not the positioning of the cursor.  Gets really fustrating.  I want to write stories and when im at full speed, the dang thing jumps and I have to go clear back what I wrote and start over and I lose the train of thought.   Thank you

·       You are using a laptop with a touchscreen?  Chances are good that you accidentally touch the touchpad while typing, and that moves the cursor.  Go to start / Control Panel / mouse and see if there are controls for adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad or to disable the touchpad while typing.  Go to the manufacturer website and download the latest device drivers, firmware, and software for touchpad you and your mouse (if you also have a mouse - you may need to go manufacturer of mouse for these drivers, if she did not come with the system).  New updates can offer options that did not exist before like the ones I mentioned.

This happened to me also and I bought a separate mouse and disabled the touchpad and the problem disappeared - but he had me past for awhile until I finally figured it out by typing differently (with my hands up higher so the Palms do not touch and had no problem).  Even if this isn't the problem, update the drivers, firmware or software can solve the problem on its own.

If none of the works above, we will need either to run a complete troubleshooting procedures (post back and I'll meet with them) or the touchpad or mouse is defective and must be replaced.  You can discuss these last with the computer manufacturer when you talk to them (if you talk to them).

I hope this helps.  If you have any questions along the way, come back and I'll do my best to answer.

When I type my cursor jumps around the place... How to fix this? I ran Norton, underthings will try to solve this problem, but is still bouncing around! I searched for days for a solution!  Help! Thank you very kindly

    This happened to me once.

You have a laptop?  Your laptop has a touchpad?
I have found that on some portable computers when I type, my wrist / hand comes in contact with the touch pad and move the cursor around everywhere.  Some laptops have a switch for the touch pad just for this reason.

To "restart" the computer means turn off and turn back on. Surely you
don't want that. You probably want to reinstall Windows. No, you
    probably don't need to do.

or y at - it a simpler way or even another way to solve this problem?

It's a laptop? If Yes, most likely you are accidentally brushing
your hand against the touchpad that you type.

  • I have problems with the cursor jumping around when I type, especially on facebook.

When I type, the cursor jumps around. Most of the time he'll be back in the part I typed before. And for some reason, he does it almost everytime I type in the word you. I have run virus scans and she always does. Any suggestions?

By chance, your computer is a laptop or netbook?
I found that when typing, my wrist is sometimes contact with the touchpad causing the cursor to jump on.  Something specific on how you type 'you' might make your wrist touch the touchpad.  If this is your case, there is a program called 'touchfreeze' which disables the touchpad while you type.

  • Why the cursor jump to other places when you type?

When you type, the cursor jumps to other lines or words, sometimes jumps 2 or 3 lines.  In addition, when you use arrow down, he jumps at the end of the page, instead of 2 or 3 lines of scrolling.

Operating system is Vista, SP2, Dell Vostro A860.  Problem occurs especially during the seizure of the e-mail program.  I don't remember not all changes made on the PC, however, suddenly it was happening more often, so could increase after having chosen the system restore to return to a different restore point.  After the announcement of this issue, I've seen in many cases of this problem in the Microsoft Forums and after those suggestions concerning the sensitivity of the touchpad, I changed the sessions for Tablet and I think my problem is resolved.

  • When the typing cursor moves by itself to a previous line

As I type the cursor moves by itself a previous line, and the text is all mixed up. Say, you typed a few lines, the cursor will then move WARNING witout a previous word or line, and the text becomes involved. (until typing this I've had to delete garbled text 4 times and re type)
I've upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium to Vista using the Acer upgrade kit no problems before the upgrade.
    Acer Aspire 5738Z
    Pentium T4200 processor

How your problem is related to Windows Update (compared to the Windows upgrade)?

You may have to contact the Acer Support?

  • Cursor moves automatically while you type

Original title: when typing (particularly e-mail), if I stop typing a few moments my cursor rolls over all email.

The cursor sometimes jumps to the area of topic, the position of the sender of the previous one, in the middle of a sentence, at the end of the email - you see the idea.  Indeed, the cursor jumped just to the 'previous' word at the end of the word "cursor" at the time I was typing.

    Hi mimi,

When you type, the cursor automatically goes to different places.

The question may be due to the corrupted drivers.

1 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    2. What is brand and model computer?

    3. using a laptop or desktop?

    4. using a wireless mouse?

    5. have you ever tried to disconnect and reconnect the mouse?

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: update the driver mouse

    See the site:

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

    Method 2:

If it is a laptop, you can try to decrease the sensitivity of the touch pad, a desk with an optical mouse to try to keep it on a rough surface or try to reduce the sensitivity of the mouse.

Refer to the section to change how the mouse pointer works in the site:

Change the settings of the mouse

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-mouse-settings

I hope this helps. If the problem persists, let know us and we would be happy to help you.

  • the cursor moves when you type on another line without any command to do so. Line never even

When type any message in outlook or word or excel the cursor will move to another line anywhere in the message, never the same thing apparently not and of course you add letters to words, a line or it will even go to the signature block.  In this case no order for the cursor to move

This usually happens on laptops by a sleeve or an arm moving above the small box that replaces a conventional mouse.  Most of these devices can have their reduced sensitivity, or you can search the ' net for one of the many utilities that turn them all in being key off the coast.

    Cursor moves, when I type

    Hello

Here's a ccouple common causes of this problem.

    (1) you have a TouchPad (on a laptop) and brush your thumb against it. Response > disable it (often a button) and get a mouse.

    (2) your mouse driver is broken and making interference from other programs. Response > download and install the latest driver for your mouse.

    (3) the surface you have you mouse over is the reflection and the mouse is not able to function properly > try a new surface under your mouse. Try a better functioning of colors, matte or rough surface and darker.

    (4) you have a wireless mouse and the battery is about to go out.

    (5) that you have installed a new program or device recently that interferes. Response > try #2 above or uninstall the program, or make sure that the device you have installed has the latest drivers.

    I hope this helps

  • When you type in Firefox, the cursor moves to the left while everything is written backwards.

Recently, whenever I try to type so that Firefox 9.01, the cursor moves to the left while everything is written backwards. I can normally type into a word document to have done with it and cut and pasted in this message. I use Windows XP. I closed Firefox and restarted my computer twice with no success to solve this problem.

Maybe this recent thread on the issue even helps.
