When recording in mp3 format...

OK, if I have a wav file opened, titled "trumpet.wav" and I choose "Save as" and save it as mp3 128 Kbps. then the title at the top of the screen indicates 'trumpet.mp3', this means that the currently opened file is now an mp3 128 Kbps? so, if I can choose "save under...". "again and save it as an mp3 to 64 kbit/s is it re-encoding of 128 kbit/s to 64 kbit/s and therefore losing quality? Or the file open in hearing remains as a wav file even if I have already registered as a MP3 file?

At the moment I'm recording as an MP3 at 128 Kbps, then close and open my again wav file and saving it as 64 Kbps MP3 because I don't want to not move from 128 Kbps to 64 Kbps. am I wasting time?

Good question and yes it is misleading. It also happens on later versions...

The good news is that even if it says you have a mp3 player that is open, you do not have. Nothing is altered at all except this label at the top of the screen, and it is wrong! You can prove it to yourself very easily, just by leaving your original file open and thus, to open the new mp3 file. Now open the screen frequency analysis, and analyze a small portion of each file. You will find that the version mp3 cut off a little higher 13 kHz or roughly, and the original there is no - even if she says it's a mp3 player and must therefore.

  • Audio files recorded in Captivate are wav. files. You can record in mp3 format?

Apparently, we need the mp3 file to upload to the lms. This been done? If so, how?

I already recorded audio with a usb microphone.

    Sabrina S.

You misunderstand me. When published the WAV files are converted to MP3 by Captivate; which is a compressed format (same way images will be compressed as well). So it shouldn't be a problem.

WAV offers you the best quality, I tend to import WAV for audio clips in the CP, but you can also import MP3s with no problems.

  • Loss of quality when recording in pdf format

    Hello

I did a post card, I have pages, but when I save it as a pdf file, that it loses quality and society who do it says the quality is bad and the picture will come out blurry on the cards. What should I do?

    I hope someone can help!

    Natascha

If you include anything with transparency, (areas of text, shadows, mirror effect, graphic png/tiff, image borders, cells of a transparent table, etc) that will be solved in your PDF in 72 dpi, even when better PDF in PDF export. If you start with low resolution images, this will not improve at the printer.

Pages is generally not well suited as a tool for quality commercial printing.

  • Gradients of disappear when recording in pdf format

I've seen questions related to this application before, but I can't find the answer in the messages.

When I save my illustrator CS5 file to PDF gradients disappear.

Is this a bug or is there a way around this issue?

If I switch to CC with this help?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi Monika,

I just stumbled upon the answer!

It's because I used a mixture of pantone and RGB colors to create the gradient.

When I changed them all to pantone or RGB, it has exported to PDF perfectly.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to help.

  • Piercing group option not applied when recording in pdf format

    Hello!

Worked on a logo that has suddenly brush realistic research - meaning vectorize the characteristics of the project of hundreds of differently shaded layers. The logo features a layer of flower shape to be cut in the logo.
The matter shortly: Is it possible to cut out the outline of the shape on a group that features 'say cent' layers of different colors (30)

I tried (without a desired outcome):

-Pathfinder - less before (with click) works only with this group
-Pathfinder - less before (alt/option + click) making it a compound path - does not because it turns the whole group in one color
-Option group piercing under opacity settings, who worked first - but save the file as a pdf, the knockout group option does not work. She is either disabled or forms of flower as group piercing are white.

    I'm using Adobe Illustrator CC

    Screen Shot 2014-12-12 at 12.27.49 PM.png

    Thank you!

The purpose of "mask" is not in the area of tile "Opacity mask" in your first image. Make sure you the flower above the layer objects, all select and choose "Make opacity mask" in the Panel flyout transparent menu. This will be above a mask. You can then turn OFF "clip" in order to see the outside part of the mask.

    Should look like this:

You can have more than one article on the mask opacity and different values. Color is ignored.

Please note: WHEN you first create an opacity mask will only recognize the subject of top-level (or compound shape). Later, you can edit and create objects on the mask at will, just like in normal mode. By default, only the mask 'effect' is visible. To display ONLY the mask OPTION + click on the thumbnail of the mask.

  • Explain the Compression Options when recording in TIFF format

Adobe PhotoShop CS5 offers three options for the conversion of a RAW file to TIFF (ZIP, LZW and JPEG).

I would be grateful if someone can help me understand the following.

I do not understand which of these employ the "run-length encoding" system which should make the TIFF

the file is much smaller than the RAW file.  I used three types of compression, but the only one who

has resulted in a substantial reduction in size was JPEG compression.

The TIFF file without compression is actually twice the size of the raw file.

What are the LZW and ZIP compressions doing?

    Thank you

How did you get to the conclusion that the tif should be smaller than the RAW files?

jpg is a lossy compression, so better avoid uo until the final output.

As for lzw and zip (from the help):

LZW (Lemple-Zif-Welch) Lossless compression; support language PostScript, PDF, GIF, and TIFF file formats. Very useful for images with large areas of single color.

ZIP Lossless compression; supported by the PDF and TIFF file formats. Like LZW, ZIP compression is most effective for images that contain large areas of single color.

So image noise for example denying all economies, and I think that zip with 16-bit is a problem.

  • noise problem Windows movie maker 2.6 when recording in dv - avi format

I installed the filmmaker windows 2.6 on windows 7 Home premium. Everything works fine. When I try to record the final film in DV - AVI format, I get 5-7 seconds of noise very high height introduced where ever there is a change of clip. IE if I have 10 different clips in my film, I get this noise at 10 different locations in my last recorded movie. These are the places where begins a new clip. There is no such noise present when I play the project in movie maker is not present in the original source file (which is an avi file).

Interestingly, when I save the movie in any format as DV - AVI, (IE high video quality, local playback or any wmv file) there is no such noise introduced in the final movie. I used the same clips to make the final movie in windows xp using movie maker 2.1 and there was no question also in the recorded final DV - AVI movie.

So the problem seems to be only on movie maker 2.6 on windows 7, when recording in DV - AVI format (all other formats of work correctly). Clips of same worked well on movie maker 2.1 on windows XP, when recording in DV - AVI format.

I suspect that the video filters (in tools-> options) could be the reason. I checked and all active video filters are those in C/windows/SYSWOW64 directory, so there is no non-microsoft video filter.

Pls help as windows live movie maker (installed on windows 7) all blocks left and right and is basically useless because it can't record any movie to the end. Director of Windows 2.1 was the best choice, but it cannot be installed on windows 7. I can download the video to show what kind of flicker noise is there at the beginning of each clip. It is a volume high, shrill noise as if two things are rubbing against each other.

  • Why I'm losing the layer effects when recording in format PDF, JPEG, etc...?

I'm working on a poster for a school assignment in Photoshop that uses a lot of layer effects for multiple objects, including text. I'll have to save to print to PDF for my teacher, but when I do that I lose a lot of quality and some of my layer effects. I tried to save as JPEG and PNG, but they all do the same thing. I also noticed that I lose the effects when I flatten the layers that the effects are on. I need the effects because I'm giving some objects a metallic appearance. It seems that the effects that I lose are the glow inside and bevel and Emboss.

Is there something I am doing wrong? It has nothing to do with the compression? Can someone help me understand what goes wrong so that I can save for printing?

If it was me I would be recording in the format .psd until the end of the project and then saving it to pdf or jpg that these formats are not intended as alternatives to .psd.

Jpg files don't support layers you will always lose them if you save in this format. PDF, however, should be ok, if configure you it correctly. When you save as pdf, make sure the layers box is checked

Make sure that in the next dialog box his game up like this

and finally click on compression then a lossless like zip compression. It should look like this

Hope that gives you better results

If I understand correctly your mp3 files have been converted M4A iTunes and you want to make versions mp3 again, Yes? You can do it in iTunes settings rip as shown in the images below. Then when you do a right click on a particular track (or tracks) you will see the option "create mp3 version". Who will find then in your folder iTunes music, parallel to the m4a version. • NO sound when recording Audio - problems with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I got in trouble for almost a year now with NO sound when recording Audio with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I just found this forum today. It's really weird how recording with windows and other sound recorder works perfectly since 1998 or so until the upgrade to win 7. Now every time I try to record it shows no found recording device or just fails to record any sound. As you'll see below I have activated What U Hear so I can use the system recording features sounds.

I use the functions of audio recording and pdf reader because I'm legally blind. It is one of the few tools that I could use with ease on all my systems windows for many years.

A similar question has started happening with nvidia graphics cards. AND... I was led to believe that it was a problem with Sony wanting more strong piracy measures built into windows. Am I correct to assume that this is what is happening with the sound also today or is there a solution to this frustrating problem?

I run a dxdiag & posted that, according to me, you asked another user on the forum, the same or similar problem.

Help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated as this has been a problem for quite a while now.
