When should I reconnect a USB after the resumption of Hibernation.

Hello, I had a doubt:

If I Hibernate Windows when a USB drive is connected, a file copy operation has been active, then when I Hibernate my windows, at what point in the recovery should I reconnect it?

My laptop is set to boot from USB as the default priority.  I've changed, but I forgot the BIOS password.

So I neeed your help.

My system is: Microsoft Windows 7.

Your only option would be after Windows has completed the boot process.

You would do well to take it to an authorized service center and get the fixed BIOS password issue... :-)

  • Does not after the resumption of the hibernation

Hello. I have laptop very slow and unresponsive liked after the resumption of the hibernation. It lasts up to 15 minutes after the resumption and the HDD led is lit constantly during this process. It's a much slower RESUME that my very old laptop with Pentium M processor and hard drive slow 540 RPM.

What can we do about it.

    Laptop: Lenovo X 220, core i5, 8 GB RAM, 7200 RPM HARD drive. Windows 7 Pro x 64.

I have a kind of guess the reason - a lot of RAM on x 64. Hiberfil large file. BUT I do not notice this behavior on any computer I've owned or worked on. That they can resume more slowly or more quickly, but after the restart they are responsive as they where before hibernation. I'd rather have it on the laptop too. This laptop isn't, she continues to make the reading of the HARD drive making it absolutely unusable during the process of tis.

    Thank you.

    Thanks again.
The process that caused strange behavior has been PWMTR64.dll which is a ThinkPad Power Manager background service. Turn it off solved the problem. Resume from Hibernate is normal and all programs are loaded immediately after the resumption. Haven't noticed any decline in the power management feature after the deactivation of this startup item in msconfig.

  • Ports Satellite A135 - S2306 defective USB after the BIOS update.

OK, I searched all over the internet and not found anyone else with this same problem, or anyone with a solution that worked for me.

A few weeks ago, I had the common error of the BIOS reset itself and asking for a password at startup. I took my local Toshiba authorized repair center, and they have not taken care of him, no problem.

Since the resume, however, all 4 of my USB ports have been going crazy. What happened in the following three steps (in order):
-One of the ports does not work at all, won't provide any current or even recognize that nothing is connected.
-The 3 remaining ports are now only recognized as USB 1.1 ports, not USB 2.0 as they were before.
-Now, only a very small number of my devices is not at all, with three USB mouse and two unrecognized hard drives work (I get the error message "USB device not recognized" standard Windows when I connect them to one of the three ports).
I am running Vista Home Basic (32 bit) with SP 2 and the new version of the BIOS is v1.60.

Is this something people of repair caused when they have unlocked the BIOS and updated? Is this a problem with the new BIOS itself? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Let me know if I let him out any relevant information, I tried to be as complete as possible. Thank you!

It is not easy to say. I think that would be best to ask guys why it happens or what they have done in the past.
But have you set the default BIOS?
Please do; access the BIOS (by pressing F2). Set it to default by pressing F9 (I guess) and save the changes. Restart the unit.
Access the Device Manager, and then remove all hubs USB and commands from the list of devices. After that reboot the device again. Windows should recognize the devices deleted again.

  • Satellite C55 - A - no USB after the installation of recovery

    Hello

I have a C55 - A Satellite and last week I have reset the laptop back to factory settings. But now I can't use the USB ports. On the site of Toshiba drivers, I downloaded new drivers but still the same problem. Now I can not use mu or other devices of dusb usb key. Can someone tell me what driver I need to install and where I can find it?

    I have windows 8.1 6 bits.

I wonder why the USB ports do not work after restoring the laptop...

Were you running the HARD drive recovery process or have you installed a clean windows system?

Generally, all drivers are part of the image of Toshiba and all devices should work correctly after the laptop was recovered.

Have you tried to connect various USB devices; Mouse USB, USB HDD, etc...?
    Your comments would be appreciated.

  • X 230 Windows 8 - peripheral USB unavailable after the resumption of his sleep [fixed? See post #4]

Running Windows 8, installed all the drivers compatible to Windows 8. After the system enters sleep state and resumes that no USB device is detected only after a full reboot.

You wanted to add a little more information, I think I've solved my problem for now.

I did it again an another reformat/clean install, this time only install the updates provided by Windows Update.  The only driver directly at Lenovo I installed is the Synaptics package.  It is therefore likely, one of the other drivers Lenovo was causing problems with my system.

In addition, my webcam wasn't working before, but now that I have not installed the driver for the built-in camera, it works now.

There are 2 slashes after domain name now, when you need to publish a live site after the new update with Muse?

-It was always a slash after the domain name. And if BC publication the

site - it has also these 2 slashes before "index.html" - is this correct? - or something wrong?

    slash.png

    Hi erinb61521593,

I did some tests at my end and can confirm that it is a known problem with the latest version of Muse but I advise you to choose the option with the / / at the time of release as it will download your site in good folder on the servers of BC (that points to your domain name) and after publishing the site if you go to the url with single / it works perfectly.

We already noted this problem with the developers of muse and I don't know that it will be fixed in the next version of Muse.

  • Win 7 x 64: No. WWAN after the resumption of the mode standby and Bluetooth turned off

    Hey guys,.

I had this problem for a few weeks 1-2, after the exit of the mode ensures my WWAN - the Sony Ericsson 3507g - modem is invisible and my Bluetooth is disabled.

WWAN: the light is off, there is no switch on the screen Fn + F5 and power off/on with the hardware switch does nothing either, after a reboot, that everything is back to normal again until you go back to sleep. A few days ago he suddenly perfectly well but when I had to restart, the problem is back.

Bluetooth: the adapter is always disabled after sleep and sometimes after a reboot, I can not find a model to know when this happens exactly... but I have since my WWAN modem is upward I can't help but wonder if it has the same cause...

I already did a complete new installation of Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 today and I'm under the latest Vista drivers, because those who do not work with the Ericsson Wireless Manager Windows 7, they ran flawlessly for a few weeks, so that they should not be the problem...

BOT of the above issues is dealbreakers for me because I'm using WWAN all the time and I use a Bluetooth mouse... then... Please help me ;-)

    Thank you in advance,

    Stefan

I think I found the culprit: the last time I had this problem I didn't know what was the reason.

After that the above post I got it works fine until recently it suddenly reappeared without having done me anything (Finally, I've done something, but I couldn't understand that).

I installed a few games, but nothing about the wwan adapter.

I also had the same problem to launch a vanilla Ubuntu 9.10 x 64.

Finally it dawned on me that, just as the problem the first time, I had also installed Ubuntu. I think that something about the way that Ubuntu handles the umts modem makes it behave this way.

This time (since I seen Ubuntu as the reason yet and I couldn't understand anything more), I opened the Thinkpad and looked for clues as to why this was happening - loose cables and all that - but nothing was wrong. I also disconnected the small backup battery for a few minutes to reset all the BIOS (except the part that is not volatile of course) - who probably had the same effect as turn off/turn on the modem I/O on-screen that solved the problem last time.

Then, I rebooted, entered the BIOS, responsible for the default installation with F9 and it suited my needs. Since then he has worked flawlessly again...

I'm not sure that Ubuntu bad, but it's the only logical explanation, and I think that's the reason why some mistreatment of the modem which required a "reset" on the base material, it is why a complete reinstallation of Windows did not do one thing...

For now, I can just advise all users T500 WWAN to avoid Linux - Ubuntu, especially - at least until understand you what causes the strange behavior.

Just my 50 ct other people with the same problem so some ideas on how to solve this problem.

  • CPU temp is-128C after the resumption of the mode S3 Sleep

    Hello

As says my title, my temp cpu bed-128 C after waking mode S3 sleep.

This affects my fan control, and while not particularly dangerous, it is annoying as my fans are set to 100% and do not return to their modes of thermal cruise.

However, when I restart my computer temperature readings are fine and the fans run in accordance with their respective temperature readings.

The really weird thing is that as I get S3, I look at the temperature of my cpu and it reads 40 c (same as idle temperature), but this only lasts for about a second how the temperature reading goes up to C - 128, while my fans are working up to 100%, such as fans and temperature readings are pegged to their "extreme" until I restart the computer.

I tried to close the temperature monitor and re run after S3 wake up without result. I also tried to launch a processor intensive task to see if that would record at least a change in temperature, also without success, the temperature reading remains pegged to c - 128.  Is it possible to correct the stray cpu temperature read during his awakening of S3, because it seems that the sleep mode S3 everything resets all leaving the cpu temperature sensors in limbo?

    Im running:

Win Xp pro SP3 and Speedfan 4.45 (temperature monitor)

    2 GB of ram

    T8300 CPU @ 2.4 Ghz

    Card mother MS-9803 w/FRIEND BIOS 2.2

    O.K.

After combing through the net re: the above question, I determined that the problem I see with the temperature monitor is only a superficial, but light always news, of a larger problem.

I contacted the mfr of cpu and my cpu temperature is within specifications, even after the release of the S3 despite what said Speedfan.

So the problem I have is not so much with the temperature of the cpu that the fact that my cpu is "spinning its wheels" after the exit of the S3 with cpu common use anywhere from 15 to 35% (via the Task Manager) with no visibly active application/process. .... IM thinking to start a new thread and the closure of it.

  • Windows keeps refreshing. Will not stop even after the resumption of the plant.

A week ago I decided to test my windows aero desktop number. It was gray with a 4.0 remained to a 4.0. After the test, all operable Windows I keeps refreshing. Content not be refreshed but the fact of the shell (if necessary). If I drag the window it will jump to where I started dragging it since. No one knows how to fix?

P.S. I did a cover of the factory to try to solve, and it did not work.

Have you also all the updates and service packs - they had erased at the resumption of the plant and must be reinstalled at all.

You can get in trouble with your device drivers (those on the factory recovery disc may be obsolete).  Go to Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should get updates for your video card and monitor at least and all the others you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

If it does not, it could very well be a real hardware problem (since dismissed pretty much factory relocation a software problem, except for updates unless you have already done as well).  Here's how to do a little troubleshooting on your own equipment:http://elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot.  After that, I would either return it to the manufacturer for repair or find a well known local computer repair shop to diagnose and repair (or replace) the problem.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

The operating system seems not completely freeze, updates of the Windows clock and I see the cursor in a Console Application flashes.

However I can not move the mouse, click anywhere or make any other user input.

VMware.log is attached (this is a CV where the kernel debugging is enabled, and it was insensitive for a long time).

Hi thelamb. You can try a configuration option for me? Suspend your guest and add this line to your .vmx file:

    mainMem.lockOnRestore = "96".

After the application of this setting, can you let me know what your experience of the food looked like and download the vmware.log?

  • Failure of the Studio 540 USB after the House from lightning.

So, I am a computer Tech and this is a first for me. My client calls me and tells me that she has a problem with his desktop computer. I show up at his house and the first thing I see is a huge burn on the side of his house. (I think thisll be fun...) Crush.) The only damage what anyone in his house, it's that none of its USB ports will transfer data. There is power on each front and rear of the tower. and there is no other port damaged or defective. (just USB) Long story short the Tower belongs to me now and she has a new XPS desktop. Does anyone have any idea if I can repair the motherboard? Also, I can't access the bios or boot from a USB key, so this isn't a windows problem. And of course, this tower has no no ps/2 ports... so no ps/2 keyboard... Any help is appreciated. for now its just charge my phones and mp3 players. I intend to install a pci or pci-e USB expansion card.

Try to clear the BIOS first:

    1. Power/disconnect
    2. Power button press / hold for about 15 seconds
    3. Open the case and remove the motherboard battery
    4. Power button press / hold for about 30 seconds
    5. Reinstall the battery and see if it USB works when you start

If this is not the case, consider connecting a USB hub with its own external power brick. Connect the brick on the wall and the hub to a rear USB port. Connect the mouse, the keyboard through the hub and see if it works.

  • Low battery notification appears when battery reaches a critical level after the upgrade to windows 7

I've upgraded to windows 7 recently and the battery notification does not work when the battery reaches its critical level.  It worked fine with vista.  Happen before when the battery reaches 25% icon in the notification area there was a visual reminder and when the level reaches 5% a pop up.  Now with windows 7, I get nothing to remind me.  I checked power options where I can change my plans of power and the battery notification read that he was turned on.

I also had this problem of Windows 7 to go just in hibernation on low battery without notification.

I checked the site of Microsoft for battery faq and how t change battery notification low that didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. So I decided to experiment some. I discovered that when I changed my battery critical to 'Shut Down' to 'Standby' Action, the low battery Notification arises and could move to a power source. Back to 'Hibernate', I changed the critical Action of the battery and the low-battery Notification appears always. I guess that the system needed just a little help :)

My installation is barely a week, so I guess that the installation did not have the correct settings. After you apply some changes to settings caused the system to behave properly in this case.

I hope this will help others with this problem.
