Hello everyone, I recently bought a HP Compaq CQ60-305AU with Vista Home Premium SP1 and according to HP system, ESUpdate for vista SP1 pre installed version 1.0.0 . Since then, I've installed all the updates including SP2 Windows. My question is with the software & driver HP web page

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=2093&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=nz&lang=en&product=3938340 there are a number of (System essential updates for vista SP1) available, do I have to install these updates or only the last has a current 6.00 version or do I need to install one of them, now that I have installed SP2?  Any help would be appreciated.

If all your hardware is working properly, I wouldn't worry on this subject. Critical updates for SP1 should be included in SP2. In addition, normally SP2 will not install if you need updates, which must be made beforehand.

  • Will not update for Vista SP1

I've had Vista for a few years and had installed SP2. After a pretty bad fall, I had to "restore to the factory settings." This has left the machine as it had been when he came out of the box.

I checked for Service packs, after he tried to update to IE7 for IE9 to say that I couldn't because I didn't have to update MS. I checked the system and found or SP1 or 2 is installed.
So I checked updates, where it was SP1 is available. I clicked on "install" and followed the couple to guests where to he started to update. He completed the process and that you follow point that SP1 has been installed, however...
When I check the system again, there is no sign on SP1 installed on the machine, and when I go to check updates, SP1 is also available, like as if it was never installed. Ive gone round in circles for a few days. Whenever it appears to install, but whenever he of not here and keep appearing as ready to be downloaded
    Help, please!

  • Argh! For Vista SP1 driver conflicts

I posted this in response to another thread, but did not get a response, so I thought I would start a new threat about this...

Like many people, I have not been able to get Vista SP1 will appear on Windows Update.  I know that I can just install the stand-alone version, but there has been a lot of problems that are associated, and I just assumed that if he appeared on WU that I could avoid the driver conflicts.  Well, I feel like a fool to have to ask this question, but I can't understand how to install the NVIDIA 140 M update driver from Lenovo that supports SP1.

I've already updated the fingerprint reader driver, so I guess it's the NVIDIA driver that prevents the display on WU SP1.  However, the instructions to install the driver say extract the files and run setup.exe... duh, no head... but when I download the driver I do not get a zip file, I get 7kd543ww.exe and 7kd543.exe.part on my desktop and when I click the .exe I get an error saying it is not a valid Win32 application. I feel extremely basic request this, but what the hell I am doing wrong?

T61 running with 32-bit Vista Home Premium

Thank you! and sorry if the questions about SP1 have been exhausted.

Please, I beg you! Don't threaten us . Haha, kidding aside. First of all, you have a .exe and a .exepart when you download the file so if for some reason any interruption occurs, your browser can read the partexe and say "hey!" I've done it before"and pick up where it left off. So I think leave download before being realized and tried to open it.

And this isn't the driver nvidia stop SP1 to appear, this is a weird bug that still continues to be. What you have to do is open Windows Update, go to microsoft and START downloading the standalone version, while its download that SP1 will appear in windows update. Cancel the stand-alone download and start it in winupdate.

Have tried to install it after you run solve the compatibility problems - Windows tried to install under XP SP2.

It seems that the initial setup.exe from 77 KB is the problem.

Ran the real up.exe - together of 2766 KB located in the folder "files Support to win" and now go beyond this problem and he is installing Visual C++ 2010

Updated - fine and completed installation was properly executed.

  • Error code 8024200d when installing SP2 for Vista Home Premium (32 bit)

I use Vista Home Premium (32 bit).  When Windows Update recently
tried to install SP2 (several times), the quoted error message
repeatedly prevented installation.  Google showed a number of similar
references to the problems associated with SP1 (from one year or if there are and less).  Is
There is a work around for this message because it applies to SP2?

    Hi Colonel biggs,

Welcome to the Forums Microsoft Vista

This problem may occur if one of the following conditions is true:

    · A program on your computer interfered with the installation of the service pack.

    · There is an inconsistency in the store of Windows services. The store Windows maintenance is a required component to install service packs.

To resolve this problem, try each resolution in the 'General resolution"and the"Advanced Troubleshooting"section in the order in which they are presented. After trying a resolution, try to install the service pack again. If you can't always install the service pack, try the next resolution.

Resolution 1: Install the stand-alone package for the service pack instead of using Windows Update to install the Service Pack

Note If you have already tried to install the stand-alone package for the service pack and you have encountered this problem, skip this resolution and go to resolution 2.

If you don't know if you've tried to install the stand-alone package for the service pack, it is recommended that you try the following steps to install the stand-alone package for the service pack. By using the stand-alone package to install the service pack, you eliminate installation issues that may be related to Windows Update. This simplifies the troubleshooting process

Solution 2: Run the system update readiness tool

System Update tool checks your computer and trying to resolve certain conditions that can interfere with the installation of the updates or other software. However, before you download the tool, you must determine whether your computer is running a 32-bit version or a 64 bit version of the Windows Vista operating system. If your computer is Windows Vista installed, and you know which version you are using, go to the section "how to download the system update readiness tool. If you are unsure which version your computer has installed, follow these steps:

    1. click on Start

    2. collapse this includes it in the Search box, type System, and then click System in the programs list.

The operating system is displayed as follows:

    · For a 32 - bit version operating system, 32-bit operating system appears for the system type under System.

    · For a 64 - bit version operating system, 64-bit operating system appears for the system type under System.

After you determine which version of Windows Vista, your computer is running, download system update readiness tool.

Resolution 3: Close or disable any applications that may be running, restart the computer and then install the service pack

    1. Close all applications and restart your computer.
    2. Once your computer has restarted, disable any antivirus or any antispyware application that can load during the startup process. You can normally disable the notification area application. This area is located in the bottom right corner of the computer screen. To disable an application in the notification area, follow these steps:
      1. Right-click the icon of the third-party program.
      2. Click Close, disable, outputor an equivalent term in the list of options. If these options are not available, you may open the application and then close or disable in the application.
    1. As soon as you close the antivirus or the antispyware software, try to install the download package full of the service pack that you previously downloaded from the following Microsoft Download Center Web site:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads)

    1. After completing the installation of the service pack, enable the antivirus or the antispyware software that you disabled in the previous steps.

  • Question about new BT stack v6.10.07 for Vista SP1

    Hello

I have another laptop manufacturer that comes with a pile of Toshiba Bluetooth v. 5.10.04 (SO).
Is the 6.10.07 new version compatible with my laptop? I have Vista Home Premium SP1 installed.

The reason I ask is because the version of Nokia PC Suite 6.86.9.3 gives me a hard time when I try to browse the content of my phone via bluetooth. I had no problem with the old version 6.84, but after that I updated I can't find it anywhere.

Here is the error that I got when I try to access the phone:

    Bq. bucket 701006833 of error, type 1------event name: APPCRASH------response: no------Cab Id: 0------signature of the problem:-P1: NclToBTSrv.exe------P2: 7.0.2.0------P3: 47be61ca------P4: ntdll.dll------P5: 6.0.6001.18000------P6: 4791a7a6------P7: c0000005------P8: 0003ed26------P9:------P10:------attached files:------C:\Users\Denis\AppData\Local\Temp\WER9FE9.tmp.vers ion.txt------these files can be found here:------C:\Users\Denis\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER \ReportArchive\Report0af3c3ec------Faulting application NclToBTSrv.exe , version 7.0.2.0, time stamp 0x47be61ca, failed module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x4791a7a6, exception code 0xc0000005, offset error 0x0003ed26, 0x14f4, process id 0x01c8c49a95fe99b2 to start the application.

I read on the forums of Nokia that the new version of the BT stack solves the problem.

Any help will be appreciated. I'm in no hurry, because I have a card reader, but sometimes I'm too lazy to get out the map just to transfer
    a photo.

    > Is the 6.10.07 new version compatible with my laptop?

If the old version of Toshiba Bluetooth stack was already installed on your laptop, then I put t see serious reasons why the latest version BT should t be compatible too.

The new version of the Toshiba BT stack can be found on the Toshiba BT portal.
    Download, install and try ;)

  • Satellite A350: Error Messages at startup when start Toshiba Console

We just bought a new A350. I installed Comodo during a Windows Update.
    Cannot complete installation of Comodo, but makes the update of Windows. We were initially three problems;

1 loses internet connectivity, but not LAN. This has been resolved by installing the Comodo.
2 getting started the following message appears "Cannot find file C:\Program Toshiba Toshiba Console\TOSHealthLocalS.vbs management script"
    3. when I run Toshiba Management Console, the following message box shows:

    C:\Program Toshiba Toshiba Console\TOSMgmt.exe management
The specified path does not exist.

Check the path and then try again

I checked the path and this component does not seem to be responsible.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Hello

It looks like the software Toshiba Console does not work properly due to instillation of the Comodo
I put t know exactly what is happening, but I think something was confusing to the top

I think that the Toshiba Console should be installed again but to be honest I didn t find on the European driver Toshiba page!

Maybe you can stitch to the BONE at the beginning of time before you have installed the Comodo this should also help you

I have to have a boot USB device and I want to use the Millennium or Windows 98SE files on.  They are part of priming by A - G devices usually.  The problem is that they recognize the FAT32 and not NTFS files.  When XP came out we have always used the Millennium boot but there was a media-player multiple boot only.  I wrote a program the other day in C++ for the boot.ini file.  Its an online program of six simple, but it worked, but then again I need the program for a disc from A to G startup that reads partitions NTFS and FAT32 and BACK also.  The file boot.ini or whatever they use is also much more complicated in Mellenium and 98SE.  I don't see how there is no difference except the A:\ reference.  Bootdisk.com raised that possibility.  I just thought that someone already did.  I'm ready to modify the program in the boot.ini file to accommodate the difference in drive letter once you guys give me the goahead.  Normally, we could make a DVD of startup but that usually work on this new Lenovo computer.  It only starts to drive hard and flash.  I want del Explorer.exe as its damaged after it I can understand why my ethernet wnt load up.  Then understand why the system event is down and cannot be started.  In that order.  I know there are smarty too smart people for their good out there - please help.   But also rem I am on this computer on an another disk-theres nothing wrong with the hardware.   guitarone

    Hi guitarone,.

Your question of Windows vista is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public. Please ask your question in the TechNet Windows vista forum.
