Whenever I get up for a minute, my computer turns off is there a way to disable the functions "sleep" and "hibernate"?

My computer used to stay... since I work with clients, my computer work is often interrupted. He is turns off if I stop for a moment and it's annoying to keep back on each time. The function 'Start'-j' looked where you shut down your computer and noticed "Sleep" - who says turn to turn off and saves the info... and "Hibernate" - which goes out and saves the info... but I don't remember always those who are there. Is there a way to disable this option, so my computer stays on?

It is not related to firefox, but I think I can help you:

  1. Click on the stack (if you are connected, there a picture of a plug) in your taskbar (near the clock) windows
  2. Click more power Options
  3. Otherwise, go to control panel-> power options
  4. Click change when the computer sleeps
  5. Adjust the settings so that your computer does not sleep for a long period of time.

I want to keep only a single copy of a System Restore Point that I created mine so I know when I did and why I did it.

With Windows Defender, I noticed that a new restore point is created whenever there is an update of Windows definitions, if I use the method of automatic or manual update.  I found that when I opened the system restore and found a new copy with description: "Installation: Windows Update.  In the history of Windows Defender, I noticed that the time corresponded to when the update the definitions file.

I unchecked the box under Windows Defender does not create a restore point before a scan of the system.  I tried the Google search to find answers and can't seem to find someone mentioning this.  Also MS sites does not seem to explain on the restores automatic system during the update of the definitions.

  • Is there a way to disable the ability to right-click on an image and copy it.  I create websites for photographers and artists here to prevent copying of the images.

I used to use 3 SiteGrinder before they went bankrupt.  All the widgets gallery that allows for disabling the right-click function.  I now use the Muse and love, but it would be fantastic if Muse had such a feature.  Maybe it's there and I just didn't.  Also I have not checked all the market after widgets to see if any have the feature.

Words MylenIin is correct, if a little condescending. You can also deter the casual right clicker by adding a rectangle without fill on top of your images or creation of all your site images using a filled rectangle, as the images are rendered in a different way that prevents them being recorded.

Repeatedly, to a crash program, (different programs), Windows 7 responds with a box dialog error that says "xyz program has stopped working, windows is looking for a solution to the problem."  This continues for a while, finally, the error dialog box indicates that no solution has been found.

Of course, no solution is ever found!  The computer wasted my time looking for this elusive 'solution' with success and nothing to actually restart the program.

  • Why my internet accounts automatically get disconnected after that my computer turns off by itself?

I have a Compaq PC with processor Dual-Core AMD Athlon X 2 5000, and it runs Windows Vista Edition Home Premium... In my view, that is running Service Pack 2. I use the computer to check my e-mail, my YouTube and Facebook accounts (and possibly other accounts spread I connect to).

I usually use Internet Explore to browse the web. Sometimes my computer turns off by itself due to overheating. But whenever when this happens, when I turn my computer back on and return to the use of the Internet, I've totally frustrated to find that all my accounts were automatically disconnected!

Even when I check these boxes to keep me connected to these accounts when I turn on the computer again after a successful stop, my accounts still get disconnected!

It only seems to happen when my computer turns off by itself without stopping... mainly due to overheating. When I turn on the computer again after a successful regular stop, my accounts are automatically saved on once again, due to activate me "Keep me connected" by checking these little boxes. But after a situation when the computer is off all the time (either by himself for a reason, either by me with strength to turn it off when my computer crashes), my accounts do not remain.

How can I prevent my accounts automatically be disconnected so that whenever I start the computer, after it turns off by itself, my internet accounts turned on? There must be a patch for this embarrassing situation here on the internet.

Perhaps because an improper shutdown / forced can inpact on different parameters.

    Hi B Odd Andersen,

I want to clarify if your computer seems to be sleeping or it completely closed after being idle for a while.

Method 1: If the computer is in power saving mode, check if you can wake the computer from this State by moving the mouse or pressing any key on the keyboard.

Method 2: Change the power to another and check to see if the problem persists
Change, create, or delete a power plan (scheme)

Method 3: check the logs in event viewer for more information on auto-off down

    Open event viewer

What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer)

Note: For your safety and security, it is not recommended to disable Windows Update.
Activate the update or disable automatic

  • Win 7 (64) "sleep" and "hibernate": power supply for USB devices

Hello: Just ordered a new PC with Win 7 Ultimate (64) and I need advice on creating a power plan. I learned the hard way with Vista Ultimate (32) that "sleep" and "hibernate" cuts the power of USB, such as UPS devices with battery backup. It was a bad function, since my UPS runs the software that automatically stops the system if necessary. However, when the Vista computer went to 'sleep', the connection to the ASI has been cut, while the UPS is no longer communicates with the central unit. Therefore, if stopped and directed were needed when the system is idle / "asleep", UPS might not make it. The only solution I could find was to create a custom power plan that stops the CPU (and that only updates the display on screensaver for X minutes and then turns off the screen). Obviously a question of wear for the system, being never in mode 'sleep'. Windows 7 behaves similarly, depriving USB power in "sleep" or "hibernate"? Will I need to apply the same workaround? Please notify. Thank you! daledoc1

Right click on the USB device device manager concerned and select properties then power management and clear the option to Turn off energy-saving and activate the option to wake up from its sleep.
