• Where PSE8 records the serial number?

  I have three iMac at home, but I only use two of them as the first is broken. I had installed on iMac and summer PSE8 bought CS5. Because I didn't need to use PSE8 on this iMac, I uninstalled it by dragging it to the trash. Then on the subject a month ago, I bought a new another iMac and installed PSE8 on it.

  When I try to use PSE8 on the new iMac a dialog box appears on the screen indicating that I must buy a new serial number, or disable PSE8 in one of the iMac to three, because I already have the serial number of three computers. My question is this:

  Where in my iMac (the one I use with CS5) can I find PSE8 serial number so I can drag it to the Recycle Bin? I looked in the Library/Preferences folder and noticed that there are always some PSE8 files left behind, but have no idea which contains the serial number. Any ideas?

  Activation is related to the OS and hardware. There is no file, you can simply trash to remove the activation of the machine. You must contact the Adobe Customer Service - very probably this phone number provided on the activation screen, as it tells you to use.

• VMWare Player delete VM from library/where is stored the library?

  There is a virtual machine in my library that VMWare Player refues to remove.  I deleted the files months or years there is the virtual machine, but attempt to disassemble the virtual machine from my library just moves the selection back to home' without error.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

  If not, does anyone know which file contains the list of VMS in the library, so that I can get out manually?  I tried to find using ProcExp, but had no chance.

  My host is Windows 7 64 bit.  I am running the latest version of VMWare Player, version 4.0

• Change the assets of the library within the program without affecting cloud related files

  I use creative cloud under Mac OS x, and all programs are up to date. I have a two part question.

  1. is there a way to edit a library asset in an Adobe program without affecting the linked file cloud? If so, how?

  2. If it is not possible to do it, what is the best practice to edit a library resource without affecting the linked file? Do I have to include the file in the document? Create a new asset with the adjusted attributes and use this asset?

  As an example of what I'm trying to do, I have a logo in a creative clouds library that I use in an Illustrator document. The asset is black, I want to make the Pantone color blue of the company within the Illustrator, however it won't let me change locally. It seems that I have to open the file in the library, adjust it, save it and use that asset. However, I do not want this asset related to change of color in all other documents I used it. So, what I did is to save an asset separate cloud with the logo like this color. This seems unnecessary and unsustainable. Whenever I have a variant of a cloud asset should not require save me a new version of it for this specific use. My library will get crowded, fast.

  If it is not part of the works the library assets, in my opinion, it should be. Be able to adjust an asset at the local level, even if it's a range a minimum of settings without changing the attributes of the linked file, seems to be obvious.

  Ah, that's useful. I had not tried. At least it's easier than opening assets and by copying and pasting from there. Thank you for your response.

  I wish that it was possible to change the appearance of a related assets without changing the assets in the cloud. This way if something has changed on the assets 'overall' it could be changed and reflected in each document, all keeping this attribute "local." This feature cannot currently? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

• Can AE copy a good imported from the library of cloud in the folder that the file of the project resides in?

  Currently, it seems any assets that you import from the library is saved in your user and not side by side with the project file. First will create a folder "CC libraries downloads" which makes much more sense...

  Or am I wrong?

  In a future update, we intend to make the location to which the library assets are recorded an option defined by the user.

  I did a vi where I record the spectrum and its integration in different positions of a two-dimensional net. I save the information in two spreadsheet with the comand "write to file measure."

  Now, I am recording the parameters initial positions, end X X and space between measurement points. I want a file with two columns that looks like:

  final position X 2000

  space 100

  But idon't know how to save the words and numbers in the same file.

  As I have to perform several steps I want to automatically choose the name of the file (something like parameters_1, parameters_2...)

  You can use all the functions of the WriteTotext file to write strings to a file.

  Then you could set up WriteToMeasurementFile' to add new data to existing files (instead of overwrite or renaming)...

  BTW. It is not a good idea to mix lvm files containing arbitrary spreadsheet data!

• How to record the assets that you create in Capture to creative cloud libraries? Is there a way to synchronize, so I can't enter my CC adobe illustrator library?

  I just started using Adobe capture. I'm trying to save the files in the libraries of creative cloud. After much trying, I shared a link by mail and then recorded in the library of creative cloud. I find that as a long process, is there an easy way that I'm not able to understand? Please help me.

  I beg of you.

  A number of things:

  * First of all, sign in with your Adobe ID to http://assets.adobe.com (My Active - libraries) and make sure that your resources are there.

  * Then, make sure that you are connected to the desktop computer with the same Adobe ID (the best way to do that is just to go ahead and sign out of the application of CC desktop (click the CC icon in your menu bar, click on the gear icon in the menu that opens, then click Preferences, and then click Disconnect).) Resart your computer before you sign in.

  * Then open Illustrator CC and open the library panel and click on the little icon creative cloud in that (I have attached a picture under my name).

  Let me know how it goes and if your resources will appear.

  The left pane is a "choose one". "All photos" are just that. 'G' is a different option.

  Lightroom is not a file Explorer. He knows only the drives and files that you have imported the photos of. If LR shows not all of the photos that are on your hard drive, it is because you did not import all photos.

  If LR shows you a photo in "all photos" but do not show it in the folder you think he is in, go to "all photos", select the image, right click "view in the library folder. This will show you where LR think the picture is.

  That is my question. Now, I would very very much like to get this off my chest. I'll be very disappointed if this post is deleted.

  Being an IBM/PC man all my life, I started with Apple with the iPhone 3 g several years ago. I loved. The thing I liked most about the 3GS, was the iOS at the time and the user interface of the 3GS. It was big, boxy buttons, and I loved. Then I upgraded my phone to a 4 s, and the user interface has been completed changed. Everything was flat, blah buttons that does not really appeal to me anywhere near 3 g. But I had my reasons to go with the iPhone, so I stuck with them. I updated my iOS and phones to the course of the years, upgraded to a 5 s, which I thought was physically in shape and size perfectly and is currently using a 6 s iPhone and an iPad 2 Air. I love them both.

  Apple music allows you to use a "iCloud music library" which allows you to listen to all your music on any of your devices anywhere, anytime. I put actually using the musical library to iCloud for many, many months, because I was afraid that'd pass on my data plan, if I decided to use it. Then I subscribed only to Apple music, never using the part of the IML. But the other day I realized that I didn't have my collection of personal music on my phone in my pocket, and that's the reason why I try to get 64 GB iPhones, because my collection is about 40 GB, and what better way than to have your entire music collection in your Pocket? So last night, I put my music on my computer and added to iTunes. He wanted to download approximately 2200 songs from my collection of about 15,000. I didn't think it's a shame, it was better than having to download the 8 000 or 10,000, so I stayed voluntarily until at midnight to 05:00, which is when my satellite internet is free. I said, do it. Download the songs to the MDU. We're going to do. I stayed until 05:00 and had to suspend downloads iTunes, because it was not more free. So I woke up the next morning to find my phone was burst with emails and text messages from AT & T, update me on my use of the data, which passed and passed AGAIN in 5 minutes. Each ON costs me $15 on my next Bill, which is added as a "courtesy", lol. The point is, I put off using IML for several months because most of the time, I was worried to go over on my data. Last night I was fine using my internet satellite during free time, but then when I went to bed, music Apple decided to push all the songs that I downloaded, on my phone, my LTE since I had turned off the WiFi for the night. My phone has apparently downloaded 6.1 GB of music this morning, while I was asleep and oh so fast. Now I have about 1600 songs on my iPhone and must turn off practically all cell data for the next 2 weeks until what I reset. So, I ask again, where I missed the part that the personal tracks downloaded to MDU would be AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOADED on my phone?

  Because I did not do for months because I was worried about going over on my data plan. Despite all my research and attempts to prevent this, I failed. And it cost me money. Sigh.

  I don't own an iPhone, I do not use music from Apple. However, I don't know that many people want things for them automatically and is technically challenged if they go and activate things like their music appearing magically in front of them.  So probably Apple has allowed many default things.  You must turn them off and change things such as what is done by service (dataplan vs wi - fi - I know that a lot of the iPhone of my wife looking over his shoulder).

• Call the library function does not find the DLL in the directory where are my LLBs

  I'm using LabVIEW 8.6.  I have a set of screws in several LLBs.  All LLBs located in a directory.  Most of my screws is wrappers for the functions in a DLL.  I was told to put my DLL in the directory where are the LLBs, and apparently this is how the previous programmer has worked (using an earlier version of LabView).

  In the configuration of the library call, I've specified .dll without path.  (This is how we want our screws are an API that will integrate other programmers, so I don't know where they put things and I can't use absolute paths).

  When I insert the VIs in LabVIEW, LabVIEW can not find the DLL and wonder of spotted.  It's just that here in the directory with the LLBs and when I double click on it, everything works fine.  However my absolute path to the DLL now appears in the library to call configuration, and we don't want that.

  Does anyone know how to make this work?  I guess the location of the screw (or LLBs, in this case) should be the current directory and thus Windows search there for the DLL.  However, it seems that this is not the case (in the least, in the latest version of LabVIEW).

  Well someone using your library should not have to dig into your screws and do it all on his own. Instead your library must wrap that and hide disorders it altogether.

  The cluster of error has been added when the dynamic path option has been added. It is not useful hide this error output, so it's always there. As well as the dynamic path, there was the improved error handling added the CLN. One of them is that the level of verification when calling function errors (exception handling) can be specified. I guess that some of these options may generate an error code instead of bring up a dialog box, as they did before and that the output of error code can be useful even in the case of static calls.

  As to what you want to do, I would have long managed that with a DLL that has essentially the same functions as your other wrapper DLLs and an initiliasation function that returns a pointer to a structure of functional distribution based on the actual DLL you want to call. Quite like what an object-oriented function dispatch table is. Then, when your interface initilising you call initialize function and specify the device interface/type that you want to use and after that all other functions take a pointer extra function parameter expedition as the first parameter, in addition to the parameters of the real function. This dispatch function pointer would be just a pointer to a structure that contains the table of function for this interface pointers and the sake of LabVIEW would simply be an integer of size pointer.

  The wrapper function then checks the pointer structure validity send feature and call the actual function with the remaining parameters. It is a C programming and may require a planning and desigining the different interfaces to facilitate this kind of technique of the expedition, but it will certainly pay to long-term and make your library even can be used in previous versions of LabVIEW, so that VB etc. without delicate dynamic loading in the level high, programming environment.

• sharpening recording is not in the library

  I've only worked with Lightroom a few days and today I started to play with the details and sharpening. Develop once I made all of my corrections and return to the library all corrections have been saved with the exception of the sharpening. Color, exposure etc.... all eyes, same thing but for some reason any sharpening is not saved. Back to develop the library focus is no where near what I fixed. I don't know what is happening, I confess I'm not a big computer guy, but I called a friend who use Lightroom for years and he is perplexed. I hope someone can help

  To apply and evaluate the sharpening (and noise reduction) reliably, you must display the image at 1:1.

  Any other magnification (as opinion made) will be incorrect and misleading.

  And develop and library will not display sharpening and noise reduction identically according to Fit, but they will be at the 1:1.

• Records of the missing files in the library list

  I have LR 5.7 with > 15 k photos in a catalog on an external drive with more than 3 TB of free space. I have not moved any files. Recently, I noticed that files are missing from the library list, and now, almost all records in the State Library that there are pictures of '0' in the folder. The catalog function says it all. How to find my file organization?

  

  There is an option in the library menu on the "show pictures in subfolders. If this option is not selected, and there is no images in the folder listed, then it will show that there is no photo. If you check this option, then all the photos that are in subfolders will be accrued. But that means that if you click on the folder that is listed all photos in subfolders appear so.
