Reboot the laptop.

    Hello

    You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
    Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
    on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

    Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
    CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
    on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
    by tapping F8 as you start several times.

    Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
    That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the

  • Able to boot normally to Windows 7 but can not start safe mode

    Hi, I have a laptop of Lenovo who has Windows 7 Home Premium installed on it.

    I had a few problems with not being able to see all the videos on CNN or the Weather Channel site, is not showing me any local report.  So I thought that I would try to start safe mode to make certain shortcomings.  (I can see videos very well elsewhere).  This happens on all 3 browsers I have (11 IE, Firefox and Chrome.

    However, after pressing F8 and get the option screen, once I chose the Mode safe mode (with or without network) it works the list of drivers and then darkens with only the arrow on the pointer in the center of the screen and stays like that for a long time without anything happening.

    I already ran all antivirus programs and spyware that I have, but nothing changes.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello Clifton,

    Please provide a detailed description of the issue.

    I understand the inconvenience you encountered. However, I really appreciate your efforts to resolve the issue.

    In order to understand the issue more clearly, I would ask that kindly provide me with the following information.

    1. You did it all changes specific to the computer before this problem?

    2. Are you able to see other boot with safe mode options?

    It is possible that this problem would have occurred either due to system files that have gone wrong in the system.

    I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

    Please follow the steps below give and check if that helps.

    1. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press enter.

    2. Select the tab Startup and check the Startup in the section startup options and the value of the radio button to a minimumand then click OK.

    3. The following System Configuration prompt, select restart or exit without restart . Whatever it is, the next boot will take you into safe mode.

    Note: Make sure that you put the computer to Start Normal once you have completed troubleshooting. Open msconfig in the same way as above, and then on the tab startup uncheck the safe boot check box.

    If the problem persists, follow method 2

    Method 2:

    Run the system restore and restore the system to a date when it was working fine. To do this, please follow the steps in the link provided below.

    System Restore: frequently asked questions

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/system-restore-FAQ#1TC=Windows-7

    Note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    I hope this information is useful.

    Please let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.

  • Can not start safe mode

    I know how to do this. Whenever I try, I go about this Mac, and then the reporting system and double click on the software.

    Then he said: I'm in normal mode. I tried with two keyboards, to check if the shift key works.

    Restart the computer. At the chime, press on and hold down the SHIFT key until the Apple logo appears, and you see the progress indicator. If you are in Safe Mode , then you will get a login screen that says Safe Mode. Make sure that you are using an Apple keyboard and mouse. Disconnect all other devices, as appropriate.

  • Black screen with cursor on startup; Could not load safe mode

    Original title: ' black screen of death, white screen, what you want to call different... but then the rest here "

    I am running Windows Vista Home Edition on a laptop Gateway.  I did have problems with the laptop, or Vista, about 3 years I've owned it.  Not until now.  I feel what posters call 'black screen of death'... but the recommended patches are impossible in my situation.  Here's what happens:

    -l' laptop, like others, he is there with a screen empty, no cursor, no pointer, not nothing.  So I restart manually by pressing the power button or removing the power to the system.  The laptop makes the sound 'I'll start up', the hard drive starts, the lights flash and the Gateway logo comes across the screen, and after that... nothing.  The hard drive light will appear on every 20 seconds, for about 5 seconds and then do it again in 20 seconds.  I get nothing beyond that point.  I unplugged everything, nothing helps.  I can access BIOS and boot (F2 and F12) sequence, but no key shortcut, never works.  After trying all the fix (and I work in it!) I thought to h * ll with her, I will insert the reinstallation of the operating system disc and try a restore or repair and if it does not, lost all my files.  So I changed the boot on a CD inserted my disk and hard restarted the laptop.  It starts from the CD, a "loading" bar appears at the bottom of the screen that States "windows installation"... it happens at the end and my mouse cursor shows up, I can move completely and that's it.  A mouse cursor on the black screen of death.  So I can't even boot from reinstall drive!  And no, tap F8 or any other combination of keys keys does nothing.  What can I do short of throw this thing off a high cliff?

    If necessary:

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
    See you soon.
    At this point, there is no need to delete. A new copy of Mac OS X can be installed directly over the old copy. This process replaces the components of Mac OS X on a file by file basis and adds missing ones, there will be no major throwing away what anyone, unless there is a power failure.
    You have already run disk first aid.
    Now use mode of recovery (command + R to start) to "Re-install Mac OS X. It should install the latest revision of the main version that you ran last.
    If DVD recovery is not assured that means installation of recovery can be started from the HARD drive. I don't know how it works exactly on cell phones in the United States. Try pressing zero button after starting upwards to see if HARD drive recovery option can be started.
    By the way: check the Toshiba U.S. support under http://laptopforums.toshiba.com/tshb/ forum
    Maybe someone there can explain how it works to start the installation of the OS on the HARD drive.
    By the way: it would be interesting to know if you can boot into safe mode. Check it!
    If so, you may start the HARD drive recovery. Therefore, select Repair my computer in the Advanced Start menu and follow the instructions on the screen.
  • A SCREEN BLUE, COULD NOT START WITHOUT HDD FOUND, AFTER WINDOWS XP UPDATE IN FEBRUARY
    Like many of you, after the updates of February I was not able to start my laptop.  Safe mode does not work and when I tried the solution accepted since the recovery/Repair Console, I got a message saying "Setup cannot find hard disk units installed."  After hours of searching for a solution, I finally thought to it and now everything starts very well.  For those of you are having similar problems, here's what I did...
    (1) visit this site: http://techrena.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-to-install-your-own-wndows-xp-in-hp.html and follow the instructions for the BIOS.
    If this link does not work for your computer, try this one: http://techrena.blogspot.com/2009/01/integrate-your-own-drivers-or.html
    Then, insert your Windows installation CD and when it loads, press R to repair.  Then follow these instructions:
    (2) select the option for C:/Windows
    (3) type this command: CHDIR $NtUninstallKB977165$\spuninst
    Press ENTER
    (4) type this command: BATCH spuninst.txt
    Press ENTER
    (5) type this command: systemroot
    Press ENTER
    When 6) complete, type this command: exit
    (Most of the instructions above have been found on this thread: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/73cea559-ebbd-4274-96bc-e292b69f2fd1/)
    If your computer did not come with a Windows CD, you can make a CD for recovery of your choice or borrow one from a friend.  For the purposes of recovery, I don't think it's important if you have XP Home, Pro, etc., any CD will work.  There are websites online that will show you how make a recovery CD... and even provide the files... it takes just a little research.  Unfortunately I did not save the link for the site that I used: o.
    If for any reason, you are still unable to get your computer running and want to get your important files on your hard drive, I found this amazing, easy and free method.  Just download the OS and burn the ISO to a CD and then start on the CD and load the operating system (direct loading from CD - do not install) below.  You will be able to browse all your files and transfer them to a USB drive or burn them on a CD: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD  certainly a good thing to keep on hand for future if nothing else!
    Backdoor.Tidserv does a very good job in this sense, particularly with the
    presence on a system by infecting one of the low-level kernel drivers, then
    cover his tracks. While that the rootkit is active, there is no easy way to
    detect the infection, and because he's so deeply in the core, most of the users
    don't see anything wrong in the system
    known for corporate antivirus because of his goal to get full control of the
    PC infected and using them as zombies for its botnet.
    During these years, he always showed a team of people behind it, which
    always applied advanced techniques often able to bypass antirootkit software.
    In fact, this last variant could be easily identified as the stealthy rootkit
    in the wild.
    This infection is having all the best rootkit MBR, the best of
    Rustock.C and the experience of the old Tdss variants. Result is an infection that
    Hello
    I suggest you borrow the CD of windows vista to your friends
    Method 1:
    Step 1:
    I suggest you check in safe mode.
    Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
    Step 2:
    If you be able to start your computer in safe mode, I'd say make clean boot and check.
    Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
    1. What is the exact error message when Windows Vista does not start?
    2. you have the disk Installation of Windows Vista operating system?
    I suggest you change the mode of RAMA to IDE in the BIOS. You can contact the PC manufacturer for assistance.
    Note: BIOS change / oxide of additional metal (CMOS) semiconductor parameters incorrectly can causeserious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly.
