Where is bookmarked in my favorites folder hierarchy?

I have a comprehensive set of bookmarks, organized into a hierarchy of nested folders. Sometimes the bookmark I want is not where I expect to be. I can find it easily by using the search engine to organize bookmarks and I can then move to where I think it should be kept, but I can't find out where it was hidden! I put it somewhere just as sensitive? She was stored or moved inadvertently to the wrong place?
It would be useful that, when a bookmark is highlighted in the right pane of the window to organize it, its current location could appear in the left pane emphasizing and expanding its hierarchy of folders. If not, perhaps the full path to the bookmark could be given in a column in the right pane which can be made visible or not by the user by right clicking on the column headers of the usual way.

Install Show Parent Folder: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7372/

  • After installation, tools > Modules > Extensions, click view the Parent folder, click Options, set your options, there are only 2 Articles.
  • After installation, the bookmarks > organize bookmarks, click views, click show columns, click Parent folder to place a check mark, the new Parent folder column in the right pane. Rearrange the columns in the right pane by dragging the column to the desired position headers.

  • Why my favorites folder has disappeared from my bookmarks bar in Firefox?

I can see my favorites located at the top of the menu, but it used to be accessible in my bookmarks also bar. Not, Miss me my favorites folder or bar. This happened after the last update. How can I fix? Thank you

You'll see that the button Menu bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar if the menu bar is hidden and the Firefox menu button (orange) is displayed instead. • Where can I find a tutorial on the folder hierarchy show?

I have 11 items first, which is also the organizer of the program elements. And I also have Photoshop Elements 10. The organizer elements with video editing software, that's what I'm interested in good. I think that my folder hierarchy is not fair. I want to straighten but I don't know how. Can someone direct me to a tutorial on how to work with the folder hierarchy.

This could be another issue, but it could be related to my confusion about the folder hierarchy in the Organizer. On June 10 I was copying some photos from my hard drive to the Organizer - probably a stupid thing to do. While I was doing this, the pictures folder (display and organize digital images) not is more took me to all my photos on the hard drive. The pictures folder's subfolders, Documents, music, Control Panel on the Windows 7 Desktop to the right of the menu stuff start.

When I click on images now I get two files: Adobe and photos. The Adobe file has these values - size: 0 bytes; Contains: 0 files, 1 folder; Created the: Monday, June 10, 2013; Attributes: Read-only (applies only to files in the folder. I deleted the folder Adobe several times but he returns.

What I really want to do, is to restore my folder image to its original state so that I have access to all the photos of my HDD immediately instead of clicking around these issues. Vaguely, I think that something I did to the folder hierarchy in the optimizer has messed up things on my computer.

Of what you have listed here, it looks like you have moved your records photo up to a level... sort of. I don't know why computer appears in my images (or perhaps there is just one problem with the way you have indented the list here...). But it looks like you have a lot of your image files moved to the parent folder where one normally would expect them to be.

The folder my pictures is the name used by Windows XP, Windows Vista and later, the record was simply named images. If I read your right of the list, it looks like you want to take the faces folder that is located in the folder of Tommy and move it to the pictures folder (the one at the bottom of the list, just above D, E, F, G). You will also need to move the folder of Clowns (to the top of the list), in the case of faces that you've just moved in the previous step. If there are images in my pictures, pictures files and/or the faces (the three all at the top of the list), you will want to move them to the folder of images at the bottom of the list.

All this can be done in the elements Organizer, simply drag and drop a folder to move it from where it is at the location you want.

  • I can bookmark directly into a folder?

I want to be able to drag the URL of the page I am directly in a folder in my favorites, or do a right click on a folder existing in my list and it can add my current page in this folder. Is it possible to do this, or something similarly convenient?

(At the moment I can only find how to do the tedious process to do: Favorites/bookmark this page / and then selecting 'Show all folders of bookmarks' and do it from there.) Tout_a_fait a roundabout way!)

    Hi dianag,.

If you have the Firefox button, you can access your favorites by pressing Alt to temporarily activate the menu bar. You can also go to Firefox > Options and activate the menu bar full-time. You can also open your favorites using the hotkey Ctrl + B.

If you want to permanently add a bookmarks button to the toolbar, you should watch section of the Knowledge Base on the customization of the toolbar.

    Hope this helps!

  • toolbar of bookmarks Firefox 4, "Favorites" cannot delete button

I don't keep a large number of bookmarks, but those I stay well organized in the bookmarks toolbar. So, I would hide the "Bookmarks" button that descends from my bookmarks menu complete.

Unfortunately, this button is part of the toolbar bookmarks, not a separate button that can be customized. I'm going to customize the toolbars and the only thing in this area is "bookmarks toolbar items".

I put the other stuff to the right of the bookmarks, toolbar so that the button really looks like his place when he's lined up like that.

Edit: I have misused the information troubleshooting field. Failed to read:
Here is a screenshot of the button in action:
    http://DL.dropbox.com/u/1190577/uselessButton.PNG

Here is a screenshot of the "Customize" dialog box Note that the part of the hilighted is treated as a moving object. The title, "Bookmarks Toolbar Items favorite * bookmarks" is not the most readable either...
    http://DL.dropbox.com/u/1190577/customizeUI.PNG

This second screen where you have the red box around the bookmarks toolbar items and favorite bookmarks element doesn't seem correct to me. The drop-down arrow marker is not the bookmarks menu item that shows as it should. I think that you move the wrong item in the Palette to customize. You want the "button that appears to the right of the search bar when mode customize is activated.

Once again. Maybe you have a slightly incompatible extension or a problem with an older version of Firefox, if you did not create a new profile specifically for Firefox 4.0.

Create a new profile exclusively for version 4.0 beta and create a shortcut on the desktop with Pei 'profile' attached to the target to launch this profile.

  • Looking for a way to export bookmarks in a real folder

I searched through google, addons, support and haven't found anything that fits. I expected to find a way to export all my favorites (especially my favorites to bookmarks bar) to a real folder (not a file). This would allow me to better manage my favorites and add a few alumni that have been saved in a structured format of literal file. What would be even better would be if you could also tell me a way to actively store my bookmarks bar bookmarks in a folder rather than a file. I apologize if this is in the wrong place, I just tried to find a way to communicate with you, and that's what I found. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, Firefox does everything with bookmarks in single files, not folders. Favorites are stored in the file places.sqlite in your profile folder, bookmark backups are in a JSON file and when the 'export' bookmarks they are in bookmarks.html format.

Firefox does not like IE, with a 'Favorites' folder with separate .url files in this folder.

  • Move the Favorites folder in the recovery file in internet explorer 9.

I recently had to do a system restore on my Envy17.   I can't move the Favorites file to the recovery file in Explorer 9.   The recovery file has been created from Explorer 7.  I tried the Explorer 9 import function, but it does not work.  The import function is looking for bookmark.htm file that does not appear to be exist in the recovery file.  Can someone help here?

Found a solution. Just use copy/paste to move files from the recovery to the Favorites folder Favorites folder. Sites Web de Microsoft never mentions this simple solution. Forums of HP's Support had the solution - search for 'Favorites '.

  • Incorrect folder hierarchy

Hi... my hierarchy of folders for my Lr is somehow not appearing correctly... I don't know what I'm doing wrong or if it's a bug.  I have my Lr configuration so that all my photos are imported by date and then create collections for specific events.  Running the latest version of CC.  Take a look at my files section in the left pane, it should look like this:

    Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 10.21.38 PM.JPG

All tangled in folders by year, with subfolders for months and then further subfolders for each date.  It's the way it is organized on my hard drive:

    Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 10.24.29 PM.JPG

It is the way I have always kept my files.  Recently, however, I just noticed that some dates are at the top level of the folder

    Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 10.26.01 PM.JPG

You can see 1999 is fine, but for some reason, the year 2000 to 2010 are all showing at the highest level - is more nested in years and months - and a few other folders month ("01" and "10") are there as well.  However, when in fact, I click on the link 'Show in finder', they nevertheless seem to be nested and in the right place on my drive.  Take the record in 2000-01-11 in the picture above.  If I click on 'Show in finder' thus, it appears:

    Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 10.28.41 PM.JPG

Note at the bottom of the image, you can see it is from the till properly nested by year, month and day then.  Any ideas how I get it to display properly in the window of the file in Lr?  I'll have to scroll through thousands of individual days to navigate around just saw vs years and let me pick the year.  In addition, it is started again with the year 2014 and 2015:

    Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 10.30.28 PM.JPG

You can see until October, he was handsome, but starts then fall in individual days again against month/day.  Looking at the 2014-03-26 above folder (that first after October to less nested in 2014, but not monthly), while this is not how I would ideally, it corresponds at least to the structure on the hard drive (I need to figure out how to fix).

I tried to restart my Mac restarted and Lr.  In addition, I got an error "Cannot modify the module" at the opening of Lr that required me to uninstall and reinstall Lr.

Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

    Hi rtkane,

I'm with wobertc in terms of how import photos into the folder structure you intend, but it looks like you are saying that the structure of folders in the folders in Lightroom Panel tells you something different Finder shows. It's hard for me to verify this with the screenshots you provided because it seems that in the files Panel, you do not have revealed the structure of your complete application. (Lightroom unfortunately does not show this for you by default.)  Make a right-click on your highest level folder (or one of them) and choose view the Parent folder, and then do so for the record, he reveals. Do this to as many files as necessary for you to see your complete folder hierarchy.

I hope that this then will show you that there is a match between Finder and Lightroom. If the records are then not where you want, drag and drop them (using the files Panel, no viewfinder!)  So always be careful to do as suggested by wobertc regarding highlighting of Lightroom Masters in the Destination panel in the import dialog box and choosing to organize by Date (looks like you use yyyy/mm/aaaa-mm-jj)

On an unrelated note, I would say rename each file to add a description to shoot after the name - right click and choose Rename.
