Where is Firefox Sync AccountName in android?

Hello
I remember my account name or an address email but do to save my master password. I lost my phone, but still my android Tablet - how can I retrieve the e-mail address and user name please?

Thank you
Charrier

Hello chandan, if your tablet is still plugged into the sync account, you can associate a new device like this:

  1. on your android tablet, go to the application of the system parameters and in Accounts & sync (could be worded slightly different on different android devices), go to firefox sync & tap pair a device.
  2. on your device, go to firefox > options > synchronization > configure firefox sync > I have an account that will show you a 3 x 4 character code that you will need to enter your android device to complete the process.

  • Firefox Sync, two desktops computers and an android

I currently have a Galaxy S5 (Android OS) and your desktop running Windows 7. The two devices sync properly. I now have another desktop computer and I would like to sync as well. On the primary computer. I go to the synchronization options and select manage. I get to the page manage account. https://accounts.Firefox.com/settings On this page, it shows that I am connected and gives me two options. Change my password or delete the account. There are no options to pair a device, get a security code or do something else that these two options. If I go to a desktop computer that has not been synchronized and I select the sync option, then I have already an account, it gives me the codes to pair a device but as I said, I have no pair option the main computer. If I select I don't have a camera with me, I have an option to connect you with an account and a password, but she wants too, then a recovery key that even once, I don't have the option to recover. At this point, it seems that synch can connect two devices. I studied the issues and extensively used search engines. Most keep responses pointing to the same items on how to synchronize the devices and the instructions never apply to this particular situation. Still once, I come back to the appearance page manage them has more options as did not in all other articles.
I hope there is a solution to this problem.

Firefox 29 and later have a new synchronization version that uses an account of Firefox and use only the name and the password and no longer use a sync (recovery) separated key (the key of synchronization is derived automatically the Firefox account password).

The new synchronization version is completely different from the version that was previously used, and you must install a later version or Firefox 29 on all connected devices.
You can enter the name and password of the Firefox account on each computer to connect to the new sync account.
You can pair is more than a new device by entering a key to pairing on a connected device.

  • Can I set up Firefox sync on Android Tablet?

I want to set up on the Android Tablet & synchronize on the 2nd Android tablet. Please tell us how to do this.

    Thank you.

You will need a Firefox Office set up an account unfortunately. This could be done on any computer can run Firefox. May be good to use http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable therefor. You will need to make sure you get all 3 bits of info from the configuration.

    • Synchronization user name
    • Password synchronization
    • Sync key

Then use the configuration options manual for Firefox Sync on your shelves.

  • Firefox Sync does not work for Tablet Android Nexus 10.

Firefox Sync works for 2 PCs, but does not work for an Android tablet. It is said, that the tablet was connected successfully, I checked the bookmarks and history options to be synchronized and or bookmarks, or history of the browser has not been updated on my tablet.
No errors. Anything not came to the Android device.
I tried with 2 different synchronization profiles - same story for the second profile.

Please note that we are currently living with Sync server issues. Our technicians are working around the clock to the question of setting and ensure that it works at its best. The current option is to try to keep synchronized and if you are able to synchronize properly, we recommend to not not to sync more than once every 2 hours.

Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Set up a Firefox sync from a Firefox sync android office

I'll have set up Firefox sync on my desk (which I had to replace) having only one active sync Firefox on my Android tablet. I can't find a way to either insert the usual three four codes of characters pairing, or to recover the key synchronization for manually entering the office. Googling the problem, I found suggestions a year ago to use some plugins (the most recent is subject: synckey key) to display the key, but unfortunately they are no longer compatible with the new firefox (I use v17). So my question is: is it possible? Or shoud I get all my favorites from the Android device as long as I can and reset the sync account?

Use the menu accounts in android rather than system settings in the Firefox settings, it is different and has an option of coupling. (credits go to Nawak)

    Help, please?

If syncing still works on Android devices so there is no need to generate a new key for synchronization and you shouldn't have a problem the pair from the desktop with one of Android devices via the pairing code 12 characters. Use the pairing code 12 characters is not expected to enter a key for synchronization, as these data will be recovered from the Android where you enter this code on the desktop. That's why the two devices must be online at the same time. Note that the synchronization code is a code of 26 characters and therefore is much longer than the code pairing 12 characters.

  • Firefox Sync doesn't work yet!

    Hello.

At a time where sharing or the sync'ing information is so important, the current Firefox sync service is a shameful disaster. What makes this worse again, is your persistent refusal to get correctly sorted.

Obvious as it appears your Twitter stream, this has happened since April, 2013.

Still, expect mobile devices to adopt Firefox OS. Yet you can't even manage your current structure of reliable synchronization.

Chrome sync'ing works very well and easily between my computer laptop and Android devices. It is also much simpler to implement.

I can't believe that you are unable to prevent the blade from Firefox. Enough dreaming of new solutions, until you sort the current mess known as Sync.

    Hi FireDuck,
I suspect that some may sympathize with you and agree that synchronization is not a resounding success.

However, this is not the place to discuss issues related to development and will not receive any attention from the developer. Maybe post a comment to https://input.mozilla.org/en-US/feedback

We may be able to help with synchronization issues, and have a series of articles for example

In my view, the development of the current system of synchronization stopped as a new more efficient system {profile in the cloud (PiCL)} is being developed.

  • Firefox Sync gave a new facility with no priority of settings or default on an established instance

I created Firefox on a new Windows 10 PC setup and activated my account Firefox Sync on this instance.
When I got back to my regular desktop PC, I find that Firefox has acquired the new PC settings rather than on the new PC acquire the established PC settings.

I was expecting the opposite to happen.

While the installation of new PC would have parameters of age "more recent" the established PC that was put in place several months ago and on technical, the most recent stamp usually takes precedence, in this case, where the settings and installation dates are only minutes apart, that the direction of the synchronization must to were questioned and confirmed.

    Thank you.

  • Firefox sync calendar

Is there a way to plan the Firefox sync with Android? Often, I have a web page on my desk which would be very convenient access on the road using my phone, but I find the synchronization happens only once a day, and usually it's too late.

    Thank you

    Hello

I had a quick glance and I don't see whatever it is that I was sure would work. I don't want to suggest something that would not work or (even worse) break your copy of Firefox.

That said, Firefox for Android is an ongoing project, and it's something they might want to consider. I feed it to the team so that they can consider for the future.

  • Firefox sync fails to connect to the server.

Firefox sync has not worked on my laptop for the last days. It fails with the error
"Unable to connect to the server. Synchronize automatically retrying this action. »
Sync works fine on my Android device on the same network. I tried to disconnect and reconnect my sync account and also tried to synchronize in safe mode without success. The error in the synchronization log report: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/8834320.
About: config the services.sync.clusterURL is not set. services.sync.tokenServerURI has the value default 'https://token.services.mozilla.com/1.0/sync/1.5'.

Understand the problem. I had activated FIPS compliance on my software security device. Apparently, WeaveCrypto used by sync is not FIPS compatible. I disabled FIPS now and sync works fine. Bug report: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443386

  • Why Firefox Sync does not work on my home network, but at work?

Firefox Sync on my laptop does not work when my laptop is connected to my home network, but for example if I'm at my desk.

The internet connection in my house is fine, I can surf the web with this same Firefox on IPv4 and IPv6, DNS etc. also works. Connection to accounts.firefox.com works also, as Firefox for the sync account. Only the synchronization process runs aground. On my desktop at home, I have exactly the same problems. When I open https://sync-209-us-west-2.sync.services.mozilla.com/ in a browser tab, I see a confirmation message that synchronization runs on this server, so apparently the network path between my computer and this server is free.

After investigation with Wireshark, I see the TLS negotiation successfully, then packages the client was able to respond and after some time, the server closes the connection (encrypted alert). Apparently, no content is transferred between the client and the server. I have attached a screenshot of how Wireshark sees the conversation between the server and the client (sending pictures here did not work so I put on the web: http://ibin.co/1zXABHKdj5mA).

To exclude a possible configuration problem or bad module, I created a clean Firefox profile and logged into my account in Firefox, but this shows exactly the same problems.

Fun fact: Firefox on my Android phone will sync on my home network.

Below, I will link two logs, a successful synchronization (corporate network) and a synchronization failed (home network):
    Sync @ Office: http://pastebin.com/rZmfrbdL
    Sync @ home: http://pastebin.com/a3KUCevJ

The problem seems to be with your ISP - you can refer to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1118958 and they may be able to find a workaround by changing your diet or to help you configure a different MTU for the network.

    I hope this helps.
