Where is photosmart essentials

I've recently updated my scanjet scanner 4050 and now don't do not have no photo editing - first software photosmart (essentials) this is what I used to have b4 upgrade.  How can I get the return of photo editing process?  I am running windows 7.

Thank you

You can actually open Photoshop and then SCAN directly from your scanner VIA Photoshop and it opens in Photoshop so you can start editing.

You can also simply scan and save to your computer and open the picture in Windows Photo Gallery or anything else you choose.

I'm the 1st option because if you have an old printer/scanner into one that has no solutions drivers/HP Center program supported on the new operating system like Windows 8, you can still scan from Photoshop. I know that I do it all the time.

    ::::::::::::::::::::NEVERMIND EDIT::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Somehow, I found this on a ditch last search on THIS forum! I must have searched with words and phrases wrog, I started yesterday at around 17:00 and was until 01:00 last night working on this thing lol wow, time for a NAP!
    Another poster wrote:

I then went within Solutions > settings > Internet connections and off all settings. Walla!  3.5 has now started and worked well. Recognized the C5580 as a CD/DVD printer and everything. For example, one that I allowed each until I've narrowed the problem to the Photosmart software updates. As long as it was out - (no thanks, I'll check the updates myself) 3.5 will work fine. You can leave all the other settings if you wish.

From there, I tried the firewall, to ensure all the various HP applications are allowed and this verified. I even disabled the firewall, and always turn PSU could cause it to start crashing again, so there seems not to be a link or firewall thing. All good old buggy software HP, we have come to expect.

Well, I hope that my trial dealing with these [well informed and support people] could help the next victim. Just turn off the power supply and the extremely limited and almost worthless software will stop crashing. Give him a bottle.

    IT WORKED!

    Thank you!!

    See you soon!

  • Photoshop Essentials 3.5

When you edit a scanned photo, the software saves a copy of the original in a "Vault". It is said to get it back by using the option "recover from the toolbar.  I can't find this (option) icon anywhere on the window.  I find myself re-analysis of the image and through the brand new scenerio (several photos on a single analysis).  Where, or how, I find this option in the toolbar?

    Hello JimShock,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I think that I could locate the 'Vault' button to retrieve the original copy of the image in the HP Photosmart Essentials software.

It took a bit of time, but I was able to install the software and you get a screenshot. It worked for me, hope it's also works for you.

  • Files opened for Photosmart .albm

How to open the many. ALBM files, I created with Photosmart Essentials v3.5 now that it's been replaced?

    Hello kurtsimon,

I understand that you do not want to open the file .albm photo that you saved when using HP Photosmart Essential v3.5. After some extensive research I found some possible solutions for you. Please, take a look below:

1st recommendation found by Member of the @Strobtech community

    (1) rename the extension of .albm in .zip file (as shown in a previous post).

    (2) download/install http://7-zip.org/ 7zip software is open source, but the punch more extraction which is integrated in Windows 7.

    (3) open 7zip and extract the file you just rename it with a .zip file extension.  Extract all, pay attention to the location of the folder where you extract the files so that you can navigate to it in the next step.

    (4) navigate to the folder where you extracted your files in step 3, and you should see a subfolder named 'ImagesStore' and a subfolder named 'PagesStore '.  Are you interested in the folder "ImagesStore".

    5) click on the "ImagesStore" folder and you will see many folders named "ImageStore 1", "ImageStore 2", "ImageStore 3", and so on.»»»

    6) click on the folder 'ImageStore 1', and you should see several files, one is named something like "BitsStream".  Rename this file "001.jpg".  Now click the 'ImageStore 2' folder and rename the "BitsStream" file located here "002.jpg".  Continue on the same way through all your folders 'ImageStore X' and you will now have the jpg file that you can view, copy, and paste.

    (7) If you do not want to make things a bit easier once you have renamed all the files, you can search for *.jpg files, copy and paste them to a new location, you can finally have a record of all these pictures, you now have access to.

    2nd recommendation community member @matchbox20gal

    1. go on the freeware Konverter site, select the Windows File Manager to display, organize, convert all kinds of files free 15 days Trail Konverter edition

2 once installed on the left hand side, you can browse the .albm folder, clicking on it opens the folder in a preview window

    3. right click on the file to extract the files

    4. it automatically converts them in .jpeg format (in the same folder where is the original .albm folder)

I gave you the Konverter option in the second place, it is some customers said it worked, and some were not able to get the free track. It's to you which way you want to go, please let me know if this was helpful.

    Thank you

  • HP Photosmart D5460: printing of DVD disc disappeared from Photosmart Essential.

Did not burn any DVD for a while, so when I pulled upward Photosmart Essentials 3.5 for print direcrtly the disk, the model had disappeared.

I'm sure it was the Create topic when I used it last until I upgraded to Windows 10, I have art work I designed saved on my drive but also I downloaded on the web.

    Where is he gone please?

    Hi @NorskYorkie,

Glad to see that you are using the HP forums, this is a great question other customers might wonder about too!

Although there are software to the new version of the operating system such as Windows 8 and Windows, CD/DVD, print front 10 has been omitted in the software, I think that this feature has been deprecated. You might be able to find a 3rd party screen software that allows you to print on CD/DVDs that you can download and use. I suggest using Google to see what is available. If you can't find anything, you can consider using this printer with an older operating system.

I'm sure that's not the answer you were hoping for, but if that answers your request, please consider tagging this post as solved by clicking accepted as Solution below and others can find the answer more effectively.

  • Photosmart Pro B9180... Pulling hair out after Win 7 64 of the Vista 64 update!

Since the upgrade to Vista 64 for Win 7 Ultimate 64 I was able to print in any way useful to my HP Photosmart Pro B9180 via a USB connection or a network of residential group.

Now, after vainly trawling online and for a solution to my problem for several weeks now, I fear that the £600.00 so-called 'linchpin' my fledgling photographic printing company I've conquered, is in fact a total and absolute "lemon", this much praised (at least I thought that this was the case, having found very little negative comments!) professional photo printer must be honest , "is not fit for purpose". At least when we're trying to operate in an environment of Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, that is.

Unless, of course, anyone here can help me.

After download, install as administrator, do Photo - not if - smart printer by default, uninstalling, cleaning of the drivers and reinstall the Windows 7 driver package: PS_BSIZE_CDA_B9100_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe several times, Windows still reports that while the printer was installed, it was necessary to troubleshooting. But when I try to the sentence, it is unable to identify what the problem is, before simply dead shooting me and then... Well... Groundhog Day, this is what comes to my mind.

If I try to add B9180 in devices and printers I get this error message: "Windows can't open add printer." Access is denied. "I tried a new install via a network of residential group, but Windows has reported that it did not have the rights to add the printer to the network!

As it is, I can't print from any photo editing software, I use mainly Photoshop for JPEG-types and Phase One of the Camera RAW data or Microsoft Office or Open Office document. They all report that no printer is installed on the system when it is clearly. Oddly, it will print if I right click a thumbnail, but it's of little use to me really, as if we were working "blind".

I tried every step possible troubleshooting available via the support site of the product here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=uk&lang=en&softwareitem=mp-74847-1&os=406...

In vain I tried some novel I've done for myself and also didn't find any help on Microsoft or in Win 7 user forums. I have an out with HP support ticket, but I'm not holding my breath!

By the way I can print using the HP Photosmart Essentials program that installs with the driver package, but the software is simply too simplistic for my purposes.

The situation sucks big time in my opinion and I'm pretty much at the end of my home, with no ideas on how to get to where I want to be on the left.

Of course, any help is welcome.

I'm curious, if you can add any printer?

Try disabling the Windows user account control.

  • HP Photosmart Essential.msi is missing

    HP Photosmart C4280 all-in-one:

    HPPhotosmartEssential.msi is missing.

I understand how to get around this problem!  You must follow exactly.

    1. Download WINRAR (you can find this at RARLABS.COM
    2. Install WINRAR
    3. Once installed, download Photosmart Essentials from here: http://www.hp.com/united-states/consumer/digital_photography/free/software/index_ww_eng.html
    4. OK, so the tricky part.  Once the file is downloaded, you must click with the right button on the file pse_350_enu and select "rip PES...". "(something like that showes)
    5. Finally, if you encounter the same problem that we have, then go to the window that says "cannot find the file", click Browse and point to which you extracted the contents of the pse_350_enu file.
    6. That's all!  He will eat it, and the cycle vicous is finished.
    7. Enjoy!

  • Photosmart C5380 under Windows 7/64

Hello newbie here. I can't add a new album to my library of essential software. I've updated to the latest version. My pic is in an album (2 000 +)

    Hi @Beert,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you can't add a new album to your library of essential software with your HP Photosmart c5380. I'm happy to help you!

The Photosmart Essentials is no longer available, or has any support on the left.  As you can see on this Web site. Software HP Photosmart Essential V.3.5 take charge.

If there is a Help menu in the software that you can see, you can try that for further assistance. You can also try HP Photosmart Creations, to see if he can access these photos: HP Photo Creations.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

  • HP PhotoSmart Essential error at startup

    Hello

Until the other day I had any problems when I start my computer.  A few days when I started the computer I got a pop up titled 'HPPhotosmartEssential' box and it said "Please wait while Windows configures essential HPPhotosmart" and a few seconds later another popup box titled "HPPhotosmartEssential" the following information - "there is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your personlel provider or support package ".

I have more the OfficeJet J4680 printer installation CD but I don't have the software to download so I opened it upwards and it was installed in the temp folder.  of which I went to start and typed folder and opens this file and follow these steps...

    Open the file "Setup."

Open the folder "Scan". Right click on the "scan" (windows installation package) file and click 'fix '. If no error message appears, once again, right-click on the file and select "install".

Return to the folder and open "bpd_scan" installation folder. Right click on the file 'bpd_scan' (windows installation package) and click 'fix '. If no error message appears, once again, right-click on the file and select "install".

When I clicked on repair I received a new window bpd_scan error message that says: Module C:\Program HP Imaging\bin\hpqebpd2.dll failed to register. HRESULT-2147220473. Please contact support staff. I clicked on OK & following the next step

Return to the folder and open "destinations" installation folder. Repeat the process above and that the repairs happened well.

I restarted the pc but the problem persists.  (I deleted the shortcut of this file that was located in start > programs > startup - I deleted the shortcut of this file (called HP Digital Imaging Monitor).)

I also opened a command prompt (run as administrator) and type in regsvr32 hpqebpd2.dll and who stated DLLRegister Server in hpqebpd2dll.

I restarted the pc, but when I click on the file to open it (even if I do a right click and run as administrator) I still get 2 contextual window boxes.  And when I click OK or cancel the boxes still jump upwards of 3 or 4 times until it stops.

I noticed that when I clicked to run / open this file it will appear in the lower right but I always get these boxes popup several times.

Nothing had changed from one day to the next on the pc so I don't know why the problem occurred suddenly.  I ran several scans online for viruses and malware, as well as a boot scan, but nothing was found.   I have run ccleaner and noticed that he has found a missing DLL to C:\PROGRAM HP IMAGING\bin\HpqSRmon.exe

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with all current updates and is an officejet j4680 printer all-in-one.

Others want a complete uninstall of the software to uninstall Panel or revo control printer and then reinstall the software I don't know what I can do to possibly solve the problem.   The printer software is version 14.

Other possible suggestions or solutions would be very appreciated.

    TIA

I'm glad you responded! I wanted to share with you all what I have solved my problem last night after having carefully followed the steps that I mentioned above. This way I can now explain the steps in a little easier way. When I started to experience this error on startup, I thought it was related to my network because it happened also when I turned the printer on and outside. I have to press OK, Cancel, etc. what felt like 50 times before my error message disappeared. I know it's a different file, but the symptoms are exactly the same, since an uninstall did not resolve the question or fixing things in Device Manager. It seems that the link you have provided very simple steps to a L3 uninstall. The great binding, but I found a simple way for the common user. Here are the steps that I took last night and my computer worked never better:

    1. I did a normal uninstall first. Don't forget if you have a USB cable, wait that uninstalling invite you to remove the cord but also before Setup tell you plug it back in. The complete uninstall took almost 25 minutes.

At the end of the uninstall, you will get a prompt to click 'Finish', however I didn't click it. I've been waiting to restart my computer after I ran the disk cleanup utility in all programs > Accessories > system tools > disk cleanup.  This process took almost an hour.

2 after disk cleanup was complete, I restarted the computer by clicking on the button 'Finish' the HP software that was always on my desk.

    3. after the restart, I followed the link to CCleaner and would like to mention to people not too savvy to be careful by pressing the green button 'Download now' more than once computer. It seems that there are a handful of commercial products that look like they tried to trick you into downloading the software.

    4. once the download is complete, CCleaner has opened and seemed much easier to use than I thought. I chose the tab register on the left, "scanned for any question," then selected difficulty scan after you have backed up files to remove (the software asked me if I wanted to save that I did). Sometimes you can scan up to three times until all problems have been corrected. As easy as it sounds, I still highly recommend reading so much about this product before installing it (see previous posts). This process was done very quickly, so I decided to use the file cleaner as well. Who did take a long time - about 30 minutes.

    5. this time, I rebooted by computer by stopping completely and then back on with the power button. I always liked this method instead of select "restart" your computer.

    6. I have confirmed my operating system on my computer will start and by doing a right click on 'My Computer' and selecting Properties at the bottom of the box grey just to make sure that I do not install the HP bad software. Then everything just re-installed the software at www.hp.com/support by typing the name of my printer tab support and drivers. The whole installation process took 20 minutes and even got an error at the beginning of my extraction process which stated "the Extraction failed. File is corrupted. "My heart is Serra for a bit, but after having clicked on the button"Download"once again, I have had absolutely no problems my network printer installation.

    7. I would like to add, during the installation process, you will see a screen that says 'Click here to customize' and I deselected product Participation, HP Update and some other useless tools, but I kept the driver, the solution, HP Imaging Device Center (which is what was causing my problem) and HP Photosmart Essentials since this is what was causing the problem. I had no problem after that.

    8. Finally, I did a reboot to ensure that all boot errors went away and the computer booted faster than ever with no error. Final test of all the features worked great. I was excited to try these steps on my own last night so that I could provide a way to rephrase things for all those too afraid of getting deep into their computer files. I hope as the method to keep it simple you will also feel because that please don't forget, using third-party software comes with its own risks. Let me know if this does not work, and then we can speak of an uninstall of L3/L4.

My HP Photosmart R960 camera digital 10mp

The camera works still strong including individual photo and video.

Since the evolution of XP to Windows 7, I can't locate the HP Application / drivers needed to assemble the photos...
