Where is the razor tool in first Elements 7?

Hello

I used to change using first 6.0 and have recently updated to 7 items.

I can't find the tool razor that I used to use to cut sections of clips.

I also noticed that there is no timeline in 7 elements.

You are using the sceneline. Click on the tab at the top of the my project Panel to switch to the more traditional editing mode.

There are three ways to break ties.

(1) you can click the icon of scissors along the lower part of the monitor Panel to be decided by the clips to the position of ICT on the timeline.

(2) you can press Ctrl + k to slice in the clips to the position of ICT.

(3) you can press the C key to switch to the mode razor and slice clips on the timeline. The V button will return your cursor to the selection mode.

Since it's been a while since you worked with a current version of the program, you can check my free tutorials from basic training to the first Elements Muvipix.com support site.

And if you really in depth step-by-step instruction, you might want to check all my books, available on Amazon.com and Muvipix.

  • Where can I find the Razor tool?

I am trying to edit the audio, but the razor tool is not coming. I saved it as a wav and MP3 file

    Hi Carolyn,

Tools in the toolbar are activated only when you work in the Panel or the environment that supports them.

The Razor tool isn't available in multitrack view and is used for cutting of items in a calendar.

If you work in the waveform display, where you directly change one file at a time, the standard tool for editing is the time selection tool, aka the i-beam.  This allows you to make selections from one position to another and then perform an action on the selected region.  This may include removing it, paste it from the Clipboard, the volume change or applying an effect.

  • Create new sequences of the Razor tool

    Hello:

I have a video of 2 hours of questions / answers in a forum.  I want this divided into 8 sessions of 15 minutes, each representing a different question.  I can cut the clip using the razor tool, but I don't see how to take each piece of 15 minutes and place it on a new sequence, thus creating 8 sequences.  I then export each 8 sequence regardless as a flash video, creating 8 videos flash can I insert into Dreamweaver.

I tried to copy / paste, drag, but the sections cut do not seem to want to leave the original sequence that I imported.

    Ideas?

    Kind regards

    Rich Locus

Create a copy of your full length sequence.

Rename the duplicate sequence "Session 1" (or something similar)

Edit this new sequence to include only the first session.

Create another copy of your full length sequence.

Rename the duplicate sequence "Session 2" (or something similar)

Edit this new sequence to include only the second session.

    Repeat steps.

    Notes:

Don't forget to work on duplicates, and then save your cutting the length.

Create a duplicate sequence by selecting

in the project Panel and then Ctrl + click - move.

On what computer operating system is your first items 13 running? And you have updated 13 to 13.1 still using Help Menu/implementation of an open project? If this isn't the case, please consider this.

    Now to your question immediately.

I would consider placing your files for organizing items (person, place or event) in albums that you create in the organizer of items for each. Then,

    (a) the content of the album of the opening of the first elements add multimedia/Organizer.

    or

    (b) by selecting your album in the elements Organizer, select the photos in the album you want, then right click anywhere in a selection and Edit with Premiere elements editor selection?

Have you been there and done that yet?

Please examine, consider, give more details, and we can then decide what.

    Thank you.

  • Where is the rectangle tool?

I'm drawing a rectangle in Adobe Photoshop elements 14. Incredibly, it is not obvious how to make inside the program. I've tried every mode (guided, experts, etc.) and I can't find any way to do it. I googled and all results say 'use the rectangle tool. I do not have a rectangle tool - I searched all the menus, tried to press each button, but none of them are a rectangle tool. When I see the pictures of it, they show a lot of buttons on the left side. That's all I have and none of them are a rectangle tool.

  • Date and time do not appear on the video captured in first Elements 9.

Is it possible to get the timestamp to show up on the video captured from an older model mini Sony TRV18 camcorder DV?

I can see the stamp date and time during playback of the video from the camcorder, but no time stamp appears in the clip mode capture first, or on the captured AVI file.

I have the first Elements 9. If it is not possible in first 9, any suggestions for capture software where can I get the date stamp and time would be appreciated.

    TKS.

This isn't a feature or a Premiere Elements.

However, you will be able to your video using a program called DV Date stamps.

Then, I want to install VMWare tools in the virtual machine.  I can't find the ISO nowhere - where is?

    Thank you. WILL BE

There is no ISO file as it is integrated in the vSphere Client. First of all, make sure that you have a CD device as part of the equipment to the customer and that the customer is running. Then, right click on the customer name in the left pane of the inventory and select "guest". At the bottom of the list will be "Install/Upgrade Tools. It's installation.

  • How to animate the manuscript for the title slide in first Elements 9

I want to simulate someone write my title on the title of the slide.  Is it possible to do this in first Elements 9?  I thought to use the Captivate (or another tool like Camtasia or Jing) to make a video screenshot as I write the text in PhotoShop, then by importing this video in my project of first 9.  What is the best way to do it?  I would like that the text writing lively to be his own later so that I can add an image to the background (wall brick, Slate, sidewalk, etc.).

    Thank you!

    Gina

I've done several times, and some of the mechanics will dictate the best method.

For example, I had several lines of text "handwriting" on a "Blackboard". I chose a "font" and created the title as an Image in Photoshop. I have "distressed" the text a bit, to simulate the texture of an old picture. Then I used a layer mask to 'hide' the largest part of the text and changed several times, to "reveal" the text, part of a letter at a time. I made a layer Comp (Photoshop has this option, but not sure about PSElements). We could do the same thing with Save_As surgeries. I would say that each Save_As numbering incremental, so that you know the exact order you need. Experience with the duration (I think that I settled on 3 images, defined in Edition > Preferences > still Frame Duration, prior to final importation) and then probably also defining the duration of Transitions (I think I went with 2 images). Import these layers, or files Save_As forward, slide in the order on the timeline, apply the Transition (dissolve in my case), to "animate" the writing. I added two files SFX: "chalk on a Blackboard" one and one "click", to simulate the chalk being placed against the Blackboard.

In my case, I wanted each letter to look as if he was up fluidly written on the Blackboard, revealing the letters exactly as they would be written, was what I wanted to achieve. If there is less interest the result looking exactly like a person wrote, there are several ways to use the effects, like the harvest, or perhaps the Transitions, like wipe linear, to simulate things, although I found the rough, more I got a lot of lines of text.

It took some planning, and then time to implement everything as I wanted, but the finished effect was large, and there was nothing I would have done it differently.

A review, but especially real mechanical and aesthetic, is to extend the Save_As files, when a Word is finished by a frame or two, as in the real world, the writer would throw chalk momentarily, before moving on to the next word. I did not have this, but used the SFX to indicate files that chalk was moved and then placed back in contact with the Blackboard.

Also, if the "writing surface" is smooth, then there is most likely no reason "distress" the text.

    Good luck

PS - After Effects has a marked effect, and I think that it is mentioned in one of the links of John T.

  • Where is the Liquify tool in Photoshop CC?

I've updated Photoshop recently (in the last few days) and the Liquify tool went in the menu Filter? This is what it looks likeScreen Shot 2014-01-17 at 8.10.57 PM.png

I have not really extpect to make a difference, that you have too many missing filters.  Something wrong with your installation of Photoshop.

First try to reset the preferences by pressing SHIFT-Opt and Cmd keys when you start Photoshop.

I have the impression that the problem will be solved, but is not, I would be inclined to reinstall Photoshop.  One issue here is that you are on a Mac, and I'm a PC user, so I'm not the best person here to offer you advice.  But I seem to be the only person to answer so far, then try the above and get back to us.
