  • How/where are the financial reports stored on the file system of the server?

    We recently lost a large part of our reports on our server. We cannot understand what the restore directory location in order to get these reports back. Where is the default directory for 11.1.2.2 financial reports? And in what format the reports are being saved?

    EN reports can be found in the file system of the operating system (o/s), but the EMP workspace hierarchy (folders, tree, etc.) are stored in the database of repository Hyperion bi +.

    On the system of operating system files, the reports are stored in RM1 folder under folder "C:\oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\ReportingAnalysis\data\RM1\root".

    The names of the reports placed here are UUID (identifiers of long - not the actual names).

    For example:

    When a report is created with the name 'My report' in Studio Financial Reporting, by connecting to the EMP workspace will be available in the name of financial reports/folder where it was saved.

    the actual report will be stored in a subfolder of the RM1\root folder on the file system.

    The file name will be a unique identifier (not the real name of the report is 'my report')

    It will be generated 'on the fly' based on various things such as the date and time on the server (i.e. 0000012f5af72b1a-0000-ec71-c0a8006c.00000130510b77bb-0000-5133-c0a8006c.1)

    The meta-data for this report ('My report', that is in the folder in the workspace, the date of the change of the report, permissions on this report, etc) will be stored in the Hyperion bi + DB as an object in an encrypted table. Financial reporting knows what metadata in the Hyperion bi + DB which corresponds to the report, in the file 'RM1\root' because all rows in the table for that object in the Hyperion bi + PB related to 'My report' will be referenced using the UUID of the file (for example 0000012f5af72b1a-0000-ec71-c0a8006c.00000130510b77bb-0000-5133-c0a8006c.1)

    Note: The location of the folder of RM1 differs with each facility's operating system.

    He is so little known about your configuration - because the forums MS Answers do not ask for information, when a new question is asked.

    If you run some kind of RAID configuration, you might do better if you describe your RAID configuration and after the actual event that you see in the event log (is it event ID 55?).  Then maybe you will get some ideas of the Microsoft Support engineer who might actually work.

    You see just this event in the paper at random times or is it when you try to run a specific operation and if yes, what operation triggers the event?  Here is an article of MS to help get you started, but if you use Google to search for the error message, you can find more ideas:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/246026

    If sfc/scannow solves your problems, I'll send you (or your charitable organization preferred) US $100.

    Here's how to publish events to the event to display the log files:

    If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

    When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.

    If you paste an event, it will look something like this annoying system startup event:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Service Control Manager
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 7035
    Date: 14/07/2010
    Time: 17:54:18

    Computer: computer

    Description:
    The Remote Access Connection Manager service was sent successfully a starting control.

    To get a fresh start on any log of the event viewer, you can choose to clear the log (the log backup is available), and then reproduce your problem, then just look at the events around your show and troubleshoot events that are happening when you have your question.

    You can search for events on the World Wide Web and get ideas.  It's where people events they see and then to the top of their questions, ideas and solutions:

    http://www.EventID.NET/

    If you find your event in the discussion, the first idea or discussion does not necessarily mean it is the "answer" to your situation, so read through all the ideas to find the one that sounds more like your situation.

    Hello

    Hit a serious problem this morning and I have not found a lot of information available on the web.

    I took a snapshot of a VM 'WIN-APPSERVER' appeal and it blew all the way to the top of the virtual machine, the Snapshot failed with error

    An error occurred when taking a snapshot: msg.snapshot.error CONTROL point.

    An error occurred saving the snapshot: msg.snapshot.error CONTROL point

    And completely off the power the computer virtual, trying to has been a complete failure, it generated the following error message

    An error was received from the ESX host turning on VM WIN-APPSERVER (171dde1d-ef89-4751-aba7-9905931d8edf).

    Unable to start the virtual machine.

    The system cannot find the specified file

    I have seen this before, what I had to do was to change the virtual machine, remove the HARD drive attached, which was INVALID and re-attached the correct VMDK who had the BONES of the VM on it. Poof the virtual machine starts very well.

    The question is...

    #1, why is this happen, how can I avoid, have you seen this?

    #2, I'm looking at the file system where the virtual machine is located and it has created 50 +. VMDK with the following format.  This is the SECOND time it happened to a virtual machine for a snapshot, and I did not yet find a solution. This isn't the list as necessary 'Consolidation'. Anyone know how carefully and correctly clean of these VMDK and why he created over 50 + of them?

    Two virtual disks do not appear to be created on the ESXi host. They have both a createType = "twoGbMaxExtentSparse".

    What you can do is to convert the virtual disks to a supported format using the vmkfstools command line utility. Make sure you have an up-to-date backup (just in case something does not work as expected) and also ensure you have sufficient free disk space on the data store to clone the disks.

    For information on how to convert view KB VMware: cannot power on a virtual machine with few disks mounted. In addition, it is also possible to convert drives from IDE to SCSI using the steps of VMware KB: conversion of a virtual IDE disk to a virtual SCSI disk.

  • iSCSI freeNAS failing to create the file system

    Hey guys,.

    IM pretty new to the present and iv tried to work this point for some time now...

    I got a box of freenas with an array of 5 TB in it... I would like to make a 1 TB logical unit number and mount it on my ESXi 4 server.

    my configuration is:

    FreeNAS < = 10.10.10.1 = > 2x1GB links using the FEC (Fast or channel) [10.10.10.0/24] < = 10.10.10.2 = > ESXi

    I managed to configure the FreeNAS successfully [as far as I can tell...], when I add the target to the iSCSI software storage card it finds the logic unit number and everything seems good.

    the problem starts when I try to add as a data store... I select:

    Disk/LUN > freeNas LUN > leave default primary partition > give it a simple name > chose the minimum file size of 512 GB > finish

    and I get the following error...

    Call "HostDatastoreSystem.CreateVmfsDatastore" of object "ha-datastoresystem" on ESXi '192.168.2.202' failed.

    Operation failed, the diagnostic report: unable to create the file system, please see VMkernel connect you for more details.

    I am unshore where this newspaper VMkernal but that's what I'm going to start hunting for the next...

  • Recursive loop through the file system.

    Hello!

    I'm trying to figure if Javascript is my answer to my problem.  I have been able to re - write all my AppleScript scripts that manipulate Illustrator with the exception of those that he had to use the file system.  We stayed in PC at work and now I have to figure this out.  Our art files are saved with a number of 7 digits, followed by the name of art in the file.  Ex: 1000049-Bob Garage.  My applescript had a recursive loop that worked its way down through the structure of the files on our server art until it finds the record low where it belonged, then saved in itself.  Here is an example of how the structure of server files (these are the folder names) is extended:

    1000000-1004999

    1005000-1005999

    1010000-1014999

    and so on.

    The script would load all foldernames in the first level of the directory, loop through them and watch the first and last name of each of these folder names, then compare the Illustrator file name to them.  If my file is between the two, then the loop itself, called loaded the files inside of that folder and in doing so, working its way down through the folders through the tree structure until there where records is no longer.  At this point, the file was saved, in the order, where it should be.

    I have no idea on how to start this task with Javascript, if this is possible even with a language developed for browsers.  I'm with other people who are frustrated by such a widely adopted language, if little info is available on its use outside the browser.  If anyone can tell me all resources dealing with Javascript programming of the file system, or even to have the kindness to write this little monster for me, I'd always in your debt!

    Thanks in advance for any time you spend with this problem!

    Open the ESTK, and then on the Help menu, you will find a link to the Javascript Tools Guide. You will find everything that you need in Chapter 3 file system access.

  • Error: "file 9xmigrat.dll on (unknown) is needed type the path where the file is located, and then click ok" when you try to install Windows Media Player 9.

    original title: WMP9 re-setup

    Hello. I use XP SP3 with all post-SP3 updates critical. Windows Media Player 9 does not work. When I try to reinstall, I'm stuck: the 9xmigrat.dll of file on (unknown) you need to type the path where the file is located and then click ok. I like WMP9 and do not want to use a newer version of WMP. I was not able to find 9xmigrat.dll

    This happens when I try installing to wmp.inf.

    If I try to install the MPSetupXP.exe, it does not either.

    Any ideas? TIA

    Thank you, David. It seems that the problem was caused by incorporating the updates for WMP9 using nLite. I made another CD of installation excluding these updates. A clean install of XP SP3 and WMP9 is working. Thank you for your response.

  • need advice about the responsiveness of the file system

    I am writing an application that retrieves data from a url and stores it in the file system (under /store for now, but perhaps under /sdcard later). When I need to get out over http, the application always displays a message of 'work' and does the job in another thread. This way at least the user knows the app is not dead (or at least has that impression ). The worker thread invokes an executable to clear the message when it is done or encounters an error.

    When the application needs to do something about the local file system only, the situation looks different. The amount of work is not always very well - read or write a small (1-2KB) file, delete a file, etc.. In the Simulator, this seems to happen fairly quickly that the message of 'work' to the top of long enough not to be read. So I tried to do the job directly in the case where the wire and everything seems all right, at least on the Simulator.

    I read that the performance of the file system on real devices is slower than in the Simulator. The question I have is: how much slower? Are slow enough real devices for simple file operations that I should stay with the worker thread and a message of 'work '? The goal here is to prevent the user to ask if the app is dead. I realize that I could use a worker thread just to be safe, but I reduced on the complexity of its use and unnecessary code thread.

    Compared to the Simulator, all devices will be slow.  My experience with small files on the device indicates that looking to the answer for the second time with readings being the faster of course.

  • VM simulator - how to access the file system.

    I was wondering if anyone knows how to access the file vmware playbook simulator system.

    I don't want access programmatically, I covered, for access to the file system to copy files to the Simulator in shared directories.

    When you connect a playbook on the USB, it shows up as a drive, and I would like access to the same playbook vm dir structure to copy files for testing. for example if your s app access the pictures on the camera, I would like to copy some images for the test. Any ideas?

    TIA - dave

    Search the forum for more information on using 'ssh' to access the Simulator and more specifically help 'scp' or 'sftp' to transfer files to. You will do this in the files under/accounts/1000/shared, and if you're on Windows you will probably be to install PuTTY to do this. Feel free to ask for help more once you have dug through it all.

    Hello team, in DRM I have 2 or 3 applications originally created 2 months ago. Now, I'm getting issue in DB space such as the data files are created the Local file system. Names of sample files are as below.

    /ddtrg7/oracle/product/112/dbs/DTRDRM_PROPS

    /ddtrg7/oracle/product/112/dbs/DTRDRM_TRANS

    We see in the newspapers that the tablespaces and data files have been created in ASM diskgroup even during the installation period. I think that since "/ dmtng7/oracle/product/112/dbs / ' is the place where DB settings file, it could be that the location has been provided as input during the installation/configuration. Ask for your help in this on how to get rid of this problem. We don't need this to be grown in the file system. Please indicate why these files are created.

    Kind regards

    If you put the files and the folder structure in place then there is no need to restart and it should pick it up, if the structure is incorrect, so he will not pick it up, might be interesting to try an export of test on a different application or a system to get an idea of what files you need.

  • Access to the file system

    My script needs a Framemaker template file to create a new file. I did work hard-code the path to the template in the script:

    sFilename = "C:\\Users\\gisteppen\\Desktop\\fm change bars\\dev\\changes-template.fm";

    I want to make is easy to distribute. I want the script to search for this template file in any directory the script is in, but I find that it won't work if I just put the model name without the path like this:

    sFilename = "changes - template.fm";

    Is there a way to get the current directory where the script is the file system? Then I could build the path absolute Fm seems to need.

    Or maybe there's a better way to go about this?

    Thank you

    Mark

    You can do something like the code below, which detects a settings file with the same name as the script, but with a .cfg extension.

        // Make a File object for the settings XML file.
        var settingsFile = new File($.fileName.replace (/\.jsx$/i , ".cfg"));
        if (settingsFile.exists === false) {
            $.writeln ("Settings file does not exist: " + settingsFile.fsName);
        }

    The property of. Filename $ gives you the path to the script running. Here, I am replacing the .jsx by .cfg extension.

    In your case, you could use something like this:

        // Make a File object for the template.
        var template = new File($.fileName.replace (/[^\/]+$/, "changes-template.fm"));
        if (template.exists === false) {
            $.writeln ("Template does not exist: " + template.fsName);
        }

    Important: make sure that you save the script before using this code. $. Filename returns (Script #) from a script without a title.

    You have configured your control point and logs on the same filesystem / disk:

    Data store = * / ttcache1/ttcache1
    LogDir = * / ttcache1/newspapers

    It's a bad idea in any case (see previous posts of Chris Jenkins), but the error is simply to say that you have run out of disk space on the drive containing the transaction logs. A k /ttcache1 FD must confirm. I guess that your transaction logs is not purged, perhaps a way to bookmark in newspapers is the cause of their outfit. If you are able to connect to the data with ttIsql store, run the command 'ttlogholds of appeal' to see a list of existing bookmarks.
