  I have an old Brother HL-1250 laser printer. When I got my new computer it came with Windows 7 64 bit installed. Then, a month ago, I tried to print with it in Excel and Excel told me it could not connect to the printer. I tried all Microsoft diagnostics and they did not help.

Who has failed, I got was a cryptic message that says "Fail", without further details. Then I tried to reinstall using the existing driver and got the same cryptic "Fail", once again with no details. I did a search of the Knowledge Base and he set up a generic PCL driver he said would work. I downloaded and tried to install it, but it is 32-bit and windows wouldn't install it.

  So I'm puzzled. Anyone know where I can get a driver 64 bit Windows 7 for the Brother HL-1250, or why the print has stopped working in the first place? TIA

  Hello.  I have been using Adobe CS4 Master Suite on a 32-bit vista system.

  I go to a windows 7 64 bit computer.

  After going through the entire process of Installation on master, all of my Adobe programs appear in 32 bit / x 86 format, except Photoshop which appears both in 32-bit / x 86 folder AND 64-bit.

  How can I get the rest of the master Suite to appear / install in 64-bit?  (is there a separate update?  require a separate purchase?  "and why photoshop worked so that the rest didn't?)

  And how do I check within the individual program to see if it is 32 or 64 bit?  (photoshop has an identified system PS as 64-bit info tab, but who do not have other progs)
