white screen while trying to reinstall xp

I recently wiped my hard drive and now I can not get my XP installation disc or all bootable disks to begin. I have the BIOS configured correctly for the first boot cd. I get a blank screen after it reads the disc. Do I need to install something first like pilots, and how can I get the hd to recognize the disc?  Do I need to format the hard drive and how do I do?

I recently wiped my hard drive and now I can not get my XP installation disc or all bootable disks to begin.

If this means that you have tried with several CDs, known to be bootable (i.e., they are working on another computer), then it looks like that your CD-ROM drive is defective.  By definition, a "bootable" CD does not anything other than the BIOS of the computer in order for the CD to read and load.

You get a message "press any key to boot from the CD?  If so, how the keyboard is connected to the computer (USB, PS/2, wireless)?  If you have a USB keyboard, see--> http://www.usbman.com/Troubleshooter%20General.htm#BIOS
If this is not the keyboard, take the CD from the drive and whatever key you need to enter the BIOS.  In addition to checking the boot order (which said you you had put correctly), check if the BIOS recognizes indeed that a CD player is connected.

  • Browser is a blank white screen while strengthening through code?

Every time that I'm stepping through code using the debugger in FB3 my browser is visually a blank white screen. All code runs correctly, while I do scroll I just can't watch the app as I do. As soon as I click on the button resume (F8) the screen attracts upward and is no longer a Virgin. I just reinstalled the flash debug player, so that's not the reason. I use Firefox 3. It would be very beneficial for me to be able to monitor the application visually while I step by step through the code. Any ideas why this happens? Incidentally, it is not newly happening its been like this for as long as I know.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Yes, it's by the default Flex behavior for debugging flash player.  Flex suspends the Thread of Flash player running in the browser when it hits any breakpoint.

  • Re: Satellite C660-1LD blue screen while trying to connect to internet

I had a lot of trouble trying to get my laptop to connect to internet, when I was trying to solve it, the blue screen appeared and it stops, I didn't have enough time read all the information so I don't really know why it appeared. The laptop has rebooted and still cannot connect to our wireless network, I tried many restorations system that could not realize even though I tried it after I turned off my AVG protection.

Finally he connected and I was able to go on the internet for a short period of time with a very temperamental connection, disconnect and then again after about 15 minutes, I fought so he can connect again, but when I finally made the connection seems well and does not drop.

I stopped it and when I turned it back I had the same problem again, it wouldn't connect, the store could not solve the problem, although several times he has identified the problem as a "problem with the wireless adapter. I tried everything I could think of, more system restores, re - install the "network adapters" in the Device Manager, change the maximum power for the wireless adapter options and check the computer does not turn off the current record, remove all the wireless networks and then try to reconnect to their. After about 2 hours, I managed to get it to connect again after the restart it in safe mode and the connection is good now.

But I'm afraid I'm having this issue whenever I turn my laptop to go on the internet. I am also very concerned about the "blue screen" which came, it happened yet and it was the first time I have ever seen one and I have been informed by friends that his pretty severe and is known as the 'blue screen of death '. I don't know if it's something to worry about or if it's just a stop? Is it possible that my laptop could have some kind of virus or bug? Or a possible hardware problem? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm fairly certain that there is a problem with my laptop and not on the wireless network I can access the internet on my iPhone and internet works perfectly on all laptops of my roommate.

    Thank you

    Hello

You should not worry BSOD. I guess that the reason was a software conflict.
Are you using the original OS that you got with your laptop or your own installation of the OS?

Have you noticed this problem with WIFI only?
    You can use LAN?
Have you tried to test with another router and other WLAN?

  • White screen while laptop is running so close cover when starting

Whenever I close the lid right after turning on my HP DV6 want, and when I opened the lid, the screen remains blank. The system does not appear to be a 'sleep' mode because the lights of buttons and buttons are turned on and off. The sound can also be heard. But the screen remains blank. I have to force restart it. But if I leave the lid open when you turn on the machine, it works fine.

    How can I solve this?

N ° never do this if you want a laptop to run reliably. It wouldn't matter if it's a laptop Apple or Linux computer. The same thing applies.

Closing the lid after booting and logging in the windows are OK, but not during the start or stop.

Torture test fragile devices is not a good idea unless do you for a living or have unlimited resources.

  • nvrd32.sys missing while trying to reinstall XP service pack 3

    Hello

nvrd32.sys file is a chipset driver and must be installed via floppy F6 during initial installation.

I suggest that you run chkdsk on the bottom of the article.

  • Of failure, white screen MacBook Pro HARD drive try to boot from the external HARD drive

    Hello

I have a 2008 Macbook Pro which is having some problems, I was able to fix them, but eventually the hard drive failed. I know that because at startup until it would have a white screen Uni (no logo) and you can hear a clicking on in the lower left corner. I thought initially it was a memory problem, but after opening and verification of memory, it's clearly the hard drive.

I solved this problem temporarily (until I can replace the HARD disk) by installing El captain on an external HARD disc and start from that. Here's the twist, I couldn't he can begin to El captain, I tried CMD + R, CMD + OPT + R, CMD + OPT + R + P and now shift. Everything that's happened would be that clicks would cease to release the keys.

I left the macbook on while I'm at work, when I got home it was on the screen to connect the external HARD drive.

I accidentally closed the macbook yesterday and again once when I tried to log on, I could not and I left it on a white screen while I was sleeping. There is a possibility that he may have launched from the HARD drive when I get home, but if not, is there something that escapes me to force do this?

    See you soon

Usually start up to a blank screen without the Apple Logo, may report one of the following:

    • Hardware failure
    • Boot drive is not recognized as valid and updated updated
    • OS X essential software is missing, hurt moved or renamed or corrupt
    • A firmware update is necessary

No matter who, in order to boot from an external drive "bootable", you would normally hold down the Option key until you get a screen that offers a number of devices to try to boot from.

Alternatively, you can try holding down the C key to try to boot from the external drive.

If none of these startup options work, then the bootable disc or the USB port on your MacBook Pro can be the question.

Since you have a Mac pre-2013, if you hold down the D key while booting, the built-in Apple Hardware Test should start up.  This can help to identify hardware problems.

  • White screen (Beta 6.19.139)

Once connected, I just get a white screen (with the exception of the Skype logo and back arrow above). Then, the app is useless.

It comes with Beta 6.19.139. I got the update email because this today and proceeded with the installation. I tried to connect three times and I still get the white screen.

I reinstalled the software and restarted the iPhone (as advised by the support of Skype). The app works now.

Start the computer in safe mode (press F8 continuously immediately after power and don't worry beeps when you press the button) and let it boot without a network.  Once there right click on the desktop and then click Properties.  Click settings and the value of the monitor mode (640 X 480) VGA or SVGA (800 X 600).  Accept the changes and restart the computer.  You should have a mediocre screen, but you should see it now.  Download and install the appropriate drivers for your video card in the laptop to the web site of the manufacturer of the laptop.  Install the drivers and then you should be able to set the display of the laptop to the correct native resolution for your computer monitor (must be in the documentation of the laptop).
