  Thanks for the information. Two things to try. First of all, try to align your print cartridges using the controls on the printer display panel. As part of this process, the printer will print on a sheet of alignment that you place on the printer and scan in the printer. See if it works successfully.   Make sure that your backups and serial numbers and product multimedia/installation/etc key is complete and stored on the computer in question.  Restore the system to factory in any way has been given by the OEM, upgrade completely (all service packs and posterior to the service pack updates) and install your anti-virus software. Reinstall your applications on which would not have been restored in the factory reset.  Update all software from third-party manufacturers to their latest versions.  Install all drivers for newer hardware devices.  Restore your personal data on the machine.

  You'll find yourself with something you can do better than what you have now.

  Openfiler does not need Internet access and you do not require an additional VMkernel port for access.  If it's production, you share the management and traffic on NIC iSCSI physical separate and thus vmkernel ports.  In this case, it is not necessary.  Did you do the initial installation of Openfiler to create a LUN for the ESXi host access?

  The product key on the back of your laptop is for what version of
  Windows it came with and may not be used for all other versions. If you
  don't have a product key for Vista or Windows 7, the laptop
  no doubt supplied with XP. Is this correct?

  If it came with XP, it is very old and it is almost certainly elsewhere
  low power for Windows 7. In addition the drivers you need for Windows
  7 there are almost certainly not, and you will not be able to run
  Windows 7 on it.

  At this point, you are probably in trouble no matter what you do. You
  must reinstall Windows XP itself, but you no longer have your
  product key and you probably haven't a Windows XP CD no more. You
  can try to ask the manufacturer of the laptop to a XP CD and product
  key, but I doubt if you can get at this late date.

  You can buy a copy of Windows 7, but once, you are likely in a way
  low power for the drivers you need and it will be unavailable.
