  They are not deleted.  While in the Inbox: see tab | Message Filter button. Check to show all Messages, not Hide the Read Messages.

  You can try to delete the file plist in Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

  You may have been signed off iMessage on your Macbook Air for some reason any. To check, open messages on your Macbook Air, click Messages at the top of the screen, then click on Preferences, tap accounts, click iMessage and login if you are not yet connected.   Nevermind, I found the answer. Go to the actual conversation. You cannot start typing their name and make appear old conversations, but find their names on your phone and go into that. Then more option appears.

  Try a reset...

  Force restart your iPhone: tap on and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
